97th Street Greenmarket

Not so good, really. Unfortunately. Lincoln Sq. on Saturdays, the produce is way better. Stuff at 97 St. not nearly as good. Corn was tired, the difference in tomatoes between the two markets is unbelievable. Got a mini watermelon at 97 St. It was mealy and soggy later the same day. Sorry to say this but it’s true.

Hit up this greenmarket around the corner from Whole Foods on Fridays between 8 & ½. Much of the same vendors as the 116 & Broadway Columbia Greenmarket, it boasts significantly more room, live music (if you could call it that), and closer proximity to CP. Some of the vendors just seemed unhappy to be there, maybe since it was beautiful out and they refuse to dismantle their sun-​blocking overhead E-​Z Ups.
