I brought my down winter coat here last week for dry cleaning– they did a great job. All of the stains came out of my coat. The price was right, they are fast, nice, and easy to work with. Haven’t tried a normal wash & dry here, but I’d imagine it’s the same good quality.

This place treated me like garbage despite the fact that I have been a customer on several occasions. Most laundromats pretty much don’t care about customer service because they know many other customers will be in, and this place is no exception.
I asked the man who regularly picks up the phone if extra care could be given to the bras in the laundry since the hooks often come back deformed. He replied «The guys in the back don’t won’t your laundry here. You make too many demands. You can pay for each piece separately for $ 6.50 each.» Besides for talking to a customer horribly, who can afford to pay for each individual piece like that? What a ridiculously stupid suggestion!
That was the last time I’m using this laundromat. I erased their number from my phone. Never again!

Best dry cleaner I’ve ever experienced in the city! They managed to get a really bad stain out of my cream colored wool coat completely. I’ve been going back since and they never disappoint. Always great service and quality. Worth every effort to go to them. Highly recommended!

A-​1 is fantastic. After a few visits the manager knew me by sight, and would grab my order before I reached the front counter. He always has a smile on his face — which cannot be said of most New Yorkers!

Received my Alice and Olivia maxi. Love it but it’s way too long. Went to the store to get it tailored. Told them to cut it by 4 inches. They made extra sure that it was too much since I did the measuring myself at home. Final product is perfect! Much cheaper price than other quotes I obtained in midtown. Went to the family vacation with this beautifully tailored maxi. Thanks! And will return.!!

They took the stains out of my favorite blue silk dress! Very Happy.

I am new to the neighbourhood and decided to give A-​1 a go after reading the good reviews on Unilocal.This place does not disappoint! Great customer service and the quality of their dry cleaning is amazing! Every penny spent was worth it, will definitely come back again!

This place is great. They are very friendly and very efficient. Everything comes back crisp and clean. I have only been here for dry-​cleaning and tailoring, never wash and fold.
They do close at 7pm which is a little early for me. It would be nice if they had one day a week where they were open late.

I really really can’t say enough amazing things about this place. They have been consistently great but I have to say that When I picked up my clothes I was utterly impressed.
I had brought in a beloved white sweater that had a huge stain in it. I let them know to do what they could and that I did not have any expectations for it to come out. Guess what? It is now spotless and back to a brilliant white.
The people work inside are always incredibly nice and accommodating, I am most definitely a loyal customer and recommend it to anyone who might live in the area. (I moved in this area couple of months ago, and was trying to find a place where I could save some time explaining all my expectations until I found this place).

Sam Hop spoiled me when I lived in the west 90s, and when I moved to my current neighborhood I tried four or five different cleaners for my dress shirts without loving any of them. Then someone in my building tipped me off to A-​1, and now I’m all set. My shirts are clean, well pressed, and soft – a trifecta most cleaners don’t achieve. The guys in the store are super nice. I don’t love the turnaround time; they prefer three business days, and if I ask for tomorrow, my order gets stamped RUSH and the shirts don’t come out as well. But beyond that I’m satisfied and happy I found them.

For the first time ever, I am living in a building without laundry. «Fool!“you say as you snicker at my fate. And yes, you are right. But, A-​1 has made my pain a little less painful with its convenient pick up and delivery service. In fact, I could get used to this type of treatment.
So many laundry services litter the area, but what made with happy here is that they actually follow directions. I never dry my jeans and several of my blouses, so I was fearful that everything would end up in some industrial dryer on the desert blast setting and that I’d be giving my jeans away to my 8 year old cousins soon. Lo and behold, they took down my directions and neatly delivered my clothes in three separate packages: one fully dried, one washed and pressed, and another air dried. Oh and did I mentioned this was a same day deal.
Now their drycleaning service did seem a little slow for my taste taking two full business days, but maybe I am just being picky. I only drycleaning things like twice a year anyway.
$ 1 per pound with a minimum of 10 pounds for laundry. $ 2 per item for wash and press. I will maybe shop around, but I can’t say anything bad about A-​1.
