Absolutely love that place!!! Me personally like Manuel, he does my hair cut and he listens everything it needs to be done, but I can assure you every person who work there are great.
While Manuel was doing my hair I looked around and saw how owner was greeting his clients. They do take care of everyone needs. So, I do recommend that salon. Just go and try.

WHAT A PHENOMENAL SALON?!!
A last minute magic occurred in this parlor. Judging by the event, it is the best Salon I’ve been to in NYC so far – yet living here for so long. Let me start off by telling you how I ended up at a last minute wedding hair crises before i entered this wonderland. It was around 6 o’clock on a not so typical Saturday and many of the salons were already closed, I was running late for my cousin’s wedding meanwhile being one of the guest of honers– I had to look my best (and i did). I went in for a consultation with Sevda who immediately made me feel better about my hair. She patiently listened to me and my desires on how I would like my hair to look like. Although i didn’t have a specific look, I showed her pictures of different hairstyles and asked her to combine all hairstyles into a one hairstyle. She completely understood my wish. the hairstyle wasn’t the only worry on my mind, I was also worried about the price that it would take to achieve this complicated request, and I was awed by the price! I simply couldn’t believe that it took only $ 50 to do my hair! i was so excited that I decided to do my makeup as well.
So anyway, the best thing happened. The Salon isn’t too big or tiny and the inside is gorgeous and so fun. It is well worth a trip to Gravesend Neck Rd no matter where you live. It’s so cozy and laid back, you instantly feel like a part of the little family.
This reminds me, i need a hair cut. Go to AR Studio Salon!

I’ve heard about this place from my friend who’s done a haircut there and she liked it, so I decided to give it a try (By the way, recently she told me she’d never go back there, they messed up her hair completely). So, me being paranoid about salon experience since I went through so many places that done bad job, shown a lot of pictures of desired result (I wanted balayage) to the stylist and explained thoroughly what exactly I want to do. I asked them couple times: are you sure you able to do that? They said, yes, don’t worry, it will be EXACTLY like on the picture.
You can guess what happened after. When he started putting color, I already knew it’s going to be ombré but not balayage. I tried to talk to him about what he was doing, again he said DON’T WORRY. Okay. Long story short, blow dry didn’t hold even for an hour and there was no color on my hair at all! It was the same as I came. Needless to say, it didn’t even look close to the pictures. They tried to assure me it was great, but come on, I have eyes, okay. They don’t know how to use color, because it burned my hair to hell. Now I can’t even brush them, they get so tangled, how thin and burned they are. Nobody from my friends noticed that I did something with my hair, people were surprised and said it looked same as before.
What’s pissing me off is that if you don’t know how to do job, don’t take it! Don’t promise!
Stylists are nice, but sorry, I come to get my hair done and you simply did not do the job. For the same money I could have gotten amazing style somewhere in good salon in Manhattan. Waste of money! Such a disappointment!

What a creepy place. These guys stare and stare and stare. Won’t stop staring at all the women. Even the women who just walk by their shop. It’s interesting that I feel so harassed at a hair salon filled with women.
Their service is horrible and they don’t even know how to cut hair correctly. I went in for a trim and after he screwed up my hair, I told him to fix it. Did he fix it? Nope. Instead he was busy speaking Georgian to the other worker and said he was finished.
I used to go to this place a few years back when they had «quality» people with morals but now it’s full of Georgian men who like to stare at women all day, smoking their damn cigarettes outside and trying to look so cool.
Now they started remodeling the salon but do they really think this place is going to be better after remodeling? Get rid of your nasty male workers who just stand outside your salon and sexually harass women! Hello? You can get in a lot of trouble for sexual harassment?!

Armen is really listen to you and he uses his taste also so it coming to a great combination thank you guys

I’ve been going to the same hairdresser/​salon (before AR Studio) since I was a teen. Got my first «grown up» haircut there, prom hair, a new style for every birthday, and of course the quarterly trims. So when I was planning to get married, I had high expectations. Well they were not met, and not even close (I wanted a simple bun up-​do & natural makeup — I came out looking like a clown! — Not even kidding).
I HAD to find a new place; I was desperate and my wedding date was soon approaching. A girlfriend of mine recommended AR Studio Salon. I came to Arman last summer in distress to try their bridal hair & makeup trial following my first horrifying consultation at my prior salon, and couldn’t have been happier. I couldn’t believe my prior hair stylist of 12 years couldn’t get the simple look I was going for and Arman nailed it after a brief description and a few pictures I showed. It was done exactly how I asked; perfect, down to the last detail. Anya did my makeup and I’m really surprised she doesn’t have any reviews. I’m very particular and she was wonderful. Anya is knowledgeable and does an amazing job not only listening to what you want, but also making you look your best.
Scheduling to meet in my home to get me ready on my wedding day was so simple and stress-​free! They were on time, attentive, and no-​nonsense! I didn’t even have to remind them of what I wanted. It came out 10x better than I ever imagined & I loved how I looked and felt on my wedding day and my album pictures look gorgeous! They even left a few items with me so I can touch-​up throughout the day.
Once I find a place I like, its difficult to lose me as a customer. It’s a shame I had to leave my old salon, but they let me down and I’m glad I’ve been coming here ever since.

Been coming here for years, talk about 10+ years, hair stylist Irina is amazing!!! Would not let anyone else touch my hair, Armen does my moms hair and she loves it. Very professional, and listens to what customers want. Manucirist Inna is just a gift on earth! Would highly recommend this place to anyone

Talk about a wow factor. Walked in with an ombré straight out of the box, walked out with corrective color that would make Jennifer Aniston jealous! Armen listened to what I wanted, looked at the pictures I showed him and gave me an amazing, amazing, amazing hair color. I couldn’t ask for a better stylist. No one will ever touch or color my hair again, including me.
