Atomic Wings

The third time was not a charm for this place. Ordered a burger medium well and it was medium. My friend’s burger was supposed to be medium, and it was well done. Not the best place for burgers cooked to order apparently.

What have I stepped into at this Atomic Wings location? It was a dark basement with a bunch of weird old furniture (dirty-​looking couches) and metal looking high chairs.
Feel bad for giving a mediocre review because the staff were nice people. Though, the food was definitely below par — the wings were not even warm to touch and were sadly drenched in average tasting sauce. For the price of each wing, you better believe that you should lick all that sauce up until that bone is DRY, regardless how hard it is to do so…
Definitely won’t come back — please do not say that this is where they serve the best wings — it is FAR from it. Ehh… Unsure why it’s been open for so long.

Ordered food, waited in front of the building. No one shows up with delivery. The call back the wrong number. Then tell me they won’t refund my order since they already made the food. Really?

This place was located in the basement. You have to walk down the stairs to reach the entrance. It had kidrobot toys around the entire restaurant in which I thought was pretty cool. I am a fan of kidrobot so seeing it made it interesting. There were big tv sceens. It was rather empty and dim. The moment I entered, my nose was punched with the scent of hot sauce.
Bought 20 pieces of the buffalo wings with hot sauce on the side to go. The taste of it was bland. It wasn’t even hot. The wings had a faded hint of hot. It was soggy rather than being crunchy.

This place took 3 hours to deliver 50 wings. 3 hours. Each time I called they said «oh its on the way» and each time, it wasn’t. This place is a joke. Don’t waste your time. Plenty other spots with wings.

First time coming here. I ordered in advance so that i can get back to work ontime.

I stood here for 20 min while other people recieved there food. Now im late back to work… smh!

This is my go to for wing delivery around work. Nothing very special, but it works if you’re craving wings. That being said — I wouldn’t go out of the way if you have other options. I do think that if you like a classic hot wing flavor the «Abusive» sauce is closer to that heat level than just the «Hot.»

I’ve been to this location a couple of times and have ordered from them a few more. The staff is always friendly and I’ve always been able to grab a seat pretty quickly, even despite lunch rush. However, delivery usually takes some time.
As to food, their wings aren’t the greatest. They always appear to be over done. However, their sauces are pretty good. I appreciate them for having hot sauces that are actually spicy. The waffle fries never disappoint, though.

I’ve never been here but I’ve ordered a handful of times. I’m not really a wing person… but if my friend really wants to order from here, I’ll give in and have a couple knowing I’ll eat something else later. They’re not horrible, but to me below average. I usually eat around 5 before I’m bored of them. Again, don’t really like wings to begin with, so perhaps they are better in most peoples’ opinion.
Let me move on to the reason why I wrote this review. I didn’t want wings but my friend did. Instead of ordering from two places, I looked at the menu to see what else they had.
Grilled cheese? Perfect… I mean how can you screw up a grilled cheese? Well I’ll tell you how: you put tomatoes inbetween two pieces of bread, and then put the cheese under and slap on another piece of bread. So: bread, tomatoes, bread, cheese, then more bread. Really??? I hate tomatoes and nowhere did it say this was their version of a grilled cheese. I wanted bread, cheese, bread. Like a normal grilled cheese you get anywhere else! Is this too much to ask for?
Next… I saw they had a choice of a wrap or panini both «Mexican» style with the following ingredients listed: cheese, chicken, and avocado. Love all three, let me get this. I decided to order the wrap instead of the panini. MISTAKE. First of all it wasn’t cut in half, but whatever. How about the whole wrap pretty much consisted of just lettuce and tomato? WHERE DID IT SAY LETTUCE AND TOMATO? WHY IS THERE BARELY ANY CHICKEN? WHY WAS THERE LIKE, ZERO CHEESE PRETTY MUCH? And why is the avocado randomly slathered in only certain parts?
If you LOVE wings, and are willing to eat average ones because it’s your favorite food then order from here… Don’t bother with the rest of the menu. Not ordering from here again.

This place has been much better. All of the staff are quite pleasant and nice. They seem like sweet girls. Their décor is a lot nicer now even though its still too dim to sit and do work there. Service is super duper fast. ⁹⁄₁₀ will return.

Grungy basement dump. Food is poor quality. Bizarre that you can’t place a pick up order unless you give a credit card, they had my phone number. Typical of a low budget operation.

Came here for lunch and I was thoroughly impressed. There wings are nothing special, but they have some flavorful sauces. I got the suicide wings and they’re spicy but still tasty. You have to try soy wings, strange but delicious and I would come back just for those. The décor is nothing special and could use some sprucing up. The order at the counter/​pseudo-​waitress service is confusing. Definitely worth a try if you’re a wing connoisseur.

I gotta say this place is not too bad. Id definitely come here for lunch again. The service was good but the food took quiet some time to come out. Typically that wouldn’t bother me but I was on my 1 hour lunch break so I was crunched for time. I ordered the lunch special which was 8 wings and 4 mozzarella sticks. My friend ordered the 8 wings with the waffle fries. Anyone that knows me or even reads my reviews knows that I am obsessed with buffalo wings. I was pleasantly surprised that the wings were pretty good. Id definitely get them again. The waffle fries and the mozzarella sticks were okay. Its in a basement and its dim but I liked it. It gave me the feel that I was out after work instead of mid day. I recommend!

The wings are pretty decent, I like the fries as well. Very reasonably priced and I like the size of the wings too. I always get the hot wings from them… So why not the 5 stars??? Because they never send me extra ranch when I ask for it.
I always order these wings for delivery on Seamless, and in the «additional instructions» I ALWAYS ask for extra ranch. I don’t mind paying extra for it, I’m not asking you for a handout, but I like to use a lot of ranch when I eat wings and fries. The first two times, I didn’t get extra ranch I was a little bothered. The 3^rd time I had to withhold tip from the delivery guy to ensure there was extra ranch (yes, it worked). The last time, I offered extra tip and guess what!!! NO EXTRA RANCH!
Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not trying to be petty, I’m not trying to be a jerk. But when someone writes additional instructions, it’s because they wanted something specific. Extra hot sauce, less fries, no cheese, slice my sandwich in half, make sure the sandwich is separate from the soup because one of us has gluten allergies… etc etc etc… The special instructions should be read, and acknowledged. If it’s your store policy to charge extra for ranch, call me and tell me. Add it to an additional item on Seamless so people can order it. But don’t just completely ignore me. That’s rude.

A weird experience. The wings itself were fine nothing special the space is super weird. In a basement and sort of dorm like/​very weird. The waiter was nice, I tried to use my Unilocal check in coupon and they did not honor it. I would not go back, better wings in NYC.

Good wings, and they used to offer an all you can drink and eat deal for about $ 20 several years ago. I think my group would tend to eat and drink them out of house and home, so they began raising the prices every year after, and reduce the amount of wings you were getting each plate to, to the point you were receiving about 2 – 3 a plate. Also supremely cold inside, no matter what time of year. They usually show a DVD when you are inside too on the tv’s behind you, I distinctly remember «The Dark Knight» entertaining us while we chowed down. The spices are pretty hot, I usually just get hot and that’s enough. Nuclear and (gulp) Suicidal will make your eyes and tongue fall over, no lie.

The price is right at Atomic Wings! Quality food, friendly service, BEER — all at reasonable prices… I was surprised by how large and clean the space is when you walk down the stairs. Pool table, couches, lots of tables, seems like a great place to hang out! There weren’t many people there on a Friday night, so my friend and I snagged seats on the couch. They seemed busy regardless, with take-​out orders. Atomic Wings has lots of options on their menu which was nice discovery, for those who do not care for wings. But obviously, we came for the wings!
Our waitress, I believe her name was Liz, was super sweet and helped us pick out our sauces for our wings (we were very indecisive.) We decided on the boneless wings combo, 1 order hot buffalo, 1 order BBQ, with a side of mac and cheese, and side of waffle fries. Wings were delicious, although I wish they were hotter (temperature-​wise). For dining in, I expected the wings to be piping hot, but they weren’t. Other than that I really can’t complain! My friend said the mac and cheese was even better than the wings!
There is a location near my apartment in UES. Next time I’m thinking about ordering pizza, I’ll switch it up and order some yummy wings instead :)

I know this place is kind of in a dead-​zone, but I think it’s worth a visit to go and eat. It’s really spacious and it has a couch and a pool table in the back.
When I went the place was completely empty (I did notice that they had a few delivery guys going out though, so it’s not like no one eats their food), which I don’t fully understand. I think this could be a cool, fun place to hang out. They have lots of TVs with sports playing too.
Our waitress was super nice and friendly and so attentive! There are other places where even if it’s empty, they ignore you, but they don’t here! Our waitress came by to make sure we were ok twice, and cleared our messy plates the minute we were done.
As for the food, we ordered wings with garlic parmesan and jerk bbq, as well as fries with cheese. The waffle fries are so good! I like that they put the cheese on the side, so the fries don’t get soggy. And they come in a big bowl that I think is totally worth $ 5. The wings themselves were also good, though the garlic parmesan is REALLY salty. Hopefully they’ll adjust their recipe. The jerk bbq sauce was tasty, though I pictured a more Jamaican jerk taste, and the sauce was more what I pictured sweet and tangy would be like.
Would still def give this place a try. Prices are very reasonable and the food is decent.

I don’t get all the negative reviews. In my experience, the wings are no different from any other Atomic Wings location. I came here with my sister the weekend before Christmas and it was really dead which makes sense given the location and day of the week we went. It’s pretty big downstairs, has several flat screen TVs, a couch, and a pool table. It is much less sterile than their other locations.
We kept it simple and had medium wings to fuel up before we hit up Christmas shopping. The service was fast and friendly.

What this establishment lacks in ambiance, it makes up for in having really great wings. On a Tuesday at 8pm, I was literally the only customer in here the whole time.
Where the bones in the wings at some shops are blackened from being frozen and then fried, the bones here were white. The meat was clean and tasty. I went with the «thai chili» sauce on my wings and it was an excellent choice. Slightly spicy and slightly sweet, it was excellent even though it was seriously messy.
They do sell a couple of bottled beers and there are some draft options. They’re not cheap. The bathroom comes in handy for washing off all the wing sauce that doesn’t quite make it into your mouth.
Several TV’s are wall mounted and tuned into sports. Pool tables are in evidence, but I don’t know how well they work or how much they charge.
