Our first time in NYC and was just looking for a quick bite at the moment. Pulled pork BBQ sandwich was ok. Turkey club good, as was French Onion soup. Server made no fuss and was generous when we asked him for some cheese over our soup. I liked that each booth had USB outlets. Price was right. Overall good and would return. A 3.5 stars is what I’d really like to give but I don’t know how to do the .5

I can’t speak to the quality of food or beverages here, because each time I’ve come the workers have been way too slow to even get to my order. Twice this past week I had issues. Came in on Wednesday for a quick coffee — there was no line — and the lady behind the counter told me to wait while she took her sweet time cleaning up her station. Two minutes later, I left. Yesterday, a lady at the register checking out a family just couldn’t get their orders right and had to keep restarting the process. Three minutes later, I left. If you’re ever in a rush and need something quick, don’t come here. It’s a slow place. I’m certainly never coming back.

Really weird time. We walked in to order coffee and one of the workers was busy so she called another one to come help but she screamed back that she was on break. It was really awkward because they were all in bad moods. And coffee was alright

You know what to expect from Au Bön Pain. This is a great location right in the middle of Mid Town. Decent sandwiches, pastries, coffee, tee etc.

Great food, pretty good service! The guy who made my salad didn’t really speak English so it was difficult to communicate with him. The manager was really really nice! I loved the almond croissant!

The food is pretty decent, I like their soups, hot sandwiches and love the baked goods. The chocolate croissant is just awesome. Coffee is a bit weak, but not a big deal.

Please make sure your staff can understand and speak English so that they don’t get our orders wrong

Even though the food was really good their service left a lot to be desired. The sandwich maker and cashier barely talk. I ordered something and want told they were out until my other items were done.

My Favorite Meal at Au Bön Pain. Less than $ 10.00. Join the email club and you get coupons. I usually get $ 2.00 off! Even better! Turkey Club(minus Tomato) with a Macaroon for desert.

Why is there an inch of space in my coffee cup and when I ask you to fill it to the top, you suddenly pretend like you don’t understand english? You don’t mess with someone and their morning coffee, unacceptable.

The Au Bön Pain(ABP) in the Rockefeller concourse is tiny and doesn’t offer salads. Thus, this location of ABP is my go-to. Despite the meh-ness of everything else ABP offers, I can’t get enough of their Southwest Chicken Salad. It’s got the satisfaction in it that salad doesn’t usually supply. It comes with romaine lettuce, but I prefer the baby spinach instead. Chop that up with tomatoes, marinated chicken, corn, black beans, noodle crunchies, and last but definitely not least, avocado, and you’ve got yourself the most satisfying salad in midtown. The dressing is tangy, light yet flavorful. And at $ 7.49, it doesn’t kill your wallet like Chop’t will. Relatively busy during lunch time but you’re usually in and out within 10 minutes.

I love Au Bön Pain’s chowder soups but this location is the worst for soups. After a certain time the kids that work in here(or possibly corporate pinching pennies) water down the soups to stretch it out. If you buy the chowders and soups early in the day it is perfect but after lunch time passes everything miraculously gets about a gallon of warm water added in. It is 3pm and I just got a Broccoli Cheddar that was so thin I could drink it with one of those tiny coffee stirrer straws. It was very watery. They also do not give free crackers or a complimentary bread stick with the soups. Other locations will allow a bread stick if you ask. As a result of asking I have found the cash wrap kids are also not too friendly. Too bad the other location under radio city is usually sold out of the chowders after 1pm. I won’t be returning here anymore.

ABP’s bakeries are ok, but their soups and salad are absolutely horrendous. Even their«healthiest» 12 veggie soup tastes extremely oily; my coworker also had same comment — their coconut shrimp soup made her vomit. Gosh what have they put? This is worse than other so called fast food places.

Stopped in today for some breakfast. I got a blueberry muffin that tasted like soap on the edges, leaving me to believe that they didn’t clean out their pan before filling it. Also it cost me 2.29. :( Im usually a fan of ABP, but this was disgustingly disappointing. Yucky.

After looking at my pictures of places i had visit in the past. i forgot to write a review about this place. Came here when my family and i were visiting NY last month for the weekend. Since it was such a really cold night after exploring NY, one of my brothers wanted to somewhere warm which we stumble to this place after checking out the Radio Music Hall. It was a nice coffee shop when walking inside. They have the spinning door where only few people can go at a time. The cashier booth area wasn’t connected to where you order your drinks and food so it’ll be like two separate lines like you have to go. We order a couple hot chocolate. It was sooo good and hit the spot especially a really cold night in NY. I like that it was hot that can keep your body warm. Also like that it was sweet enough and perfect that sweetness of the hot chocolate wasn’t over powering.

I came here for a quick bite to eat before going to the Top of the Rock. + Chicken Avocado Sandwich was appetizing for $ 7 — No cup of water(only bottled water available for purchase) — All seats were taken at 6:30pm. Had to wait 5 minutes.

When you read this review, know that I’m not joking and am being sincerely honest about what I’m about to say. The macaroni and cheese here is the second best I have ever had in my life(Penn Quarter Tavern DC is tops). You may have gone to many Au Bön Pains in your life and perhaps you never thought the macaroni and cheese was anything special, but there is something different about this place. Again, I am being totally honest. When I eat the macaroni and cheese, I get a high. It feels like I am hallucinating. I have no idea what causes this, but it happens every time I eat it. I feel very light headed and like I just took some sort of drug. Perhaps my body reacts weird with an ingredient in it, but that seems implausible as I’ve had Au Bön Pain’s mac at other locations and don’t experience it there. It is always so piping hot when I get it I almost singe my mouth in my eagerness to finally get it into my mouth, but once it cools it is the most wonderful experience. Other people have told me they loved it as much as I did, but I don’t think they feel the high. There is something about the hint of nutmeg and thick creaminess that just makes me foodgasm as I’m eating it. There’s nothing like it, folks.
