The décor was beautiful. The menu was so overwhelming there was so many delicious things to chose from and the service was great. The food was delicious and I would definitely come back. I didn’t even need a reservation, Great experience!

Real Lebanese cuisine, all was delicious! The spot is amazing, very cozy and warm. Staff is super nice specially Youssef, he is the best!

Delicious food, beautiful and skilled live music, warm ambiance and a great staff. Youssef was especially attentive and very very charming. I came for a quick meal and ended up staying for the evening. What a lovely way to the end the day.

A really fantastic place. They have a huge menu! There are meat (Halal) options and options for vegetarians and vegans. There were 8 of us, we all managed to get completely different things and there’s still lots to try the next time we come around. Anyway, the food was delicious and the spicy stuff was actually spicy. They were able to accommodate a party of 8 but we did make reservations. :) And finally our waitress was absolutely wonderful. :)

Great spot! Great food. As always, excellent service from Peter, who has waited on our table many times. He’s consistently on top of it, everything from service in general to suggestions about the menu! Looking forward to next time.

My wife is part Lebanese and she said this is the only Lebanese restaurant that she/​we have found that makes Authentic Lebanese food that tastes just like her Grandma’s! I can vouch for myself, the food is delicious! You must try the spinach pie, meat pie, Kibbeh, and Tabbouleh.

Came here with a party of 15 for my co-worker’s birthday. Most weren’t familiar with Lebanese cuisine so I became the de facto translator/​expert for our party. The food was just okay but service was attentive and pleasant. They give you a lot of food so come hungry and leave feeling like you ate an entire goat by yourself.
At this point, I really don’t remember what I ate but I do remember the dish being too vinegar-​y. I think I ordered the chicken shawarma platter with sauteed potatoes. I asked my boyfriend what his favorite dish was and he said: «the Priyanka Chopra was good». He couldn’t remember what he ate either.

I’m obsessed with the chicken shish tawook, the toum is amazing. generous portion of tabouleh. excellent wine selection.

I was torn in what I would rate this place, while the food and presentation merit 4 stars, our experience was less than optimal. The service was slow (the restaurant was not that crowded) and prices were a bit high.
My friend and I chanced upon this place as she was having a drink here, waiting for me to show up, for us to go to Taverna Kyclades next door. As Taverna was too crowded, we decided to stay at Balade.
We were seated by what would be a very busy door as the business does a lot of take-​out and delivery business, had we known we would’ve insisted on another seat. It took awhile for the waiter to take out order — another pair who sat down after us at the next table were waited on first, and we had to call the waiter over to place our order. We ordered the Prix Fixe, my friend having the beef, while I had the mixed grill.
Our starters were good. I had the lentil soup and my friend the falafel. The best part of the meal was the entrees. The meat was very well seasoned and very tasty, the best part of the experience. The lamb, which can often turn out dry was very juicy and tender, the chicken delectable, the beef well done. The only thing was that for the price of the meals ($ 26-​$ 29), you did not get served an ample portion. My mixed grill plate was filled with french fries however. We flagged down the waiter again for the check and took our desserts to go as we were ready to go and did not wish to wait for the waiter to come back to ask us what we wanted.
The atmosphere was nice apart from our seating location. I would rate this place 3−½ stars if possible, but for a first experience I would have to give it 3 stars until further review if we come back.

While im no expert on Lebanese cuisine, I Went there w Lebanese friends & they loved it & so did I — great service, very cozy: D

It’s bad to mediocre food, slightly rude service in nice setting.
The start you off with bread and oil/​zaatar. We were give two pita breads the size of cookies (smaller than the palm of my hand). So generous.
Then stale bagged pita. Waiter (Peter) was kind of rude too.
I was embarrassed I brought a friend here.
Salad was good, baba was good, the rest was mediocre. I feel like the food is the same quality you find in a cheap kabob place. Would not return

I was staying in a hotel at Chelsea and ordered from Balade. Grub Hub said the delivery time was 45 minutes and I was enjoying my meal in less than 35 minutes. Hummus Beirute and the falafel were delicious. Don’t forget to order their home-​made hot sauce. You won’t regret it. Blends well with everything. Enjoy!

I ordered the falafel sandwich and tabbouleh salad.
The food was tasty enough. I only ate half of it, but I ended up with terrible food poisoning which lasted all of the next day. I won’t risk ordering from here again.

Fabulous food! I lived in Cairo for a few years and went to Balade last Sunday with my son. Food is lebanese and close enough to Egyptian food. The young guy who waited on us is Egyptian and the nicest! Loved the food and his fab service.
Great foul, the closest to what I ate in Cairo. The falafel, tabouleh were super yummy.
The dessert «aeshta» (cream of milk) was divine — I would like the pita to be hot and fluffy, apart from that all great!
Definitely going back! Cute place too :) Had a great lunch with my little boy!

I rarely write such negative reviews but I had a very negative delivery experience this evening that I felt the need to share.
Actually I am writing this review after waiting for an hour and half for our food to be delivered. We have called three times, each time being told that the food is on the way and have not received even a semblance of an apology.
I completely understand that there are times when there is a high volume of orders coming in and delivery will take longer than expected BUT during those times a good restaurant would acknowledge the unfortunate situation and apologize. A GREAT restaurant would give a discount or throw in an extra dish.
Sadly Balade appears to be neither good nor great. I will not be ordering from them again.
Upside is that I am so hungry that regardless of the quality I will enjoy it! :/

Very friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere, delicious food!
To start they bring you warm pita with a sesame/​sansuk/​olive oil paste (so good). I ordered the stuffed grape leaves (about 8 leaves– great for sharing) and the Greek Pitza– feta cheese, thyme, green pepper, tomato. Overall a very great experience. It was my first time here and I will definitely be back.

Still remains a favorite in the hood. Now I have tried most of their small plates and everything is so great. Their Soujuk remains best in town per my taste, grape leaves are incredible, not too many places offer grape leaves as a hot dish. My previous review remains valid.
I’ve been there for a casual grub or a night out dining and both works.

I got chicken shawarma sandwich with fries and garlic sauce, special lunch price $ 12. Its best shawarma i had in the USA so far, just like the ones you eat in lebanon!
Sandwich size is big!
Delivery took 45min to mid town manhattan.
I recommend this place, cant wait to visit the restaurant!

Extremely overpriced. I ordered delivery from here. The food was good but nothing outstanding or worthy of the prices. I could’ve gotten the exact same meal for half a price somewhere else.
