The cashier was incredibly rude today. I returned two white shirts I purchased for work, I bought four and then the uniform changed. She asked, in the snottiness manner possible, «Is there a reason the tags are off these shirts??». I was taken aback, and explained (which I shouldn’t have). The shirts were unworn, that’s all she needs to know. If I spoke to a customer like that I’d lose my job!!! I had my receipt. Bad, bad customer service.

I don’t care about customer service. Actually, they surprisingly have great customer service compared to the one in downtown Brooklyn. This store is slightly bigger than that one, but not by much. But their petite sizes fit me perfectly!!! PLUS they will combine two coupons (20% off $ 100 or more, AND a 10% off student discount), AND offer a price adjustment within 7 days of original purchase.
For those who a small like me. they are a must visit. I haven’t left this store with less than one item in my hand, ever.

Love this Banana Republic Outlet! It has great selection with all of the sizes being available most of the time. The employees are really nice. Great Prices! And plus: the Gap Outlet store is right across the street so if you’re coming from far away you won’t have to feel super guilty!

Oh yeah! I’m loving this Banana Republic Factory Store in Harlem. Banana Republic Factory always have a sale because most of the clothing are from past seasons what I like about this location is the store is kept in a orderly fashion which is a big plus for me. The sales associates were very polite, helpful and attentive they had great customer service skills. I went about 2pm on a weekday in the afternoon so the store was pretty empty. I’m a total Banana Republic Factory junky.

First off, I’m not sure why this store is labeled as being located in East Harlem. Its on the West side, next to the Apollo.
FACT: As with many outlet stores, much of what you’re sold is NOT the same quality/​cut/​design as what’s found in the regular stores. JCrew, Saks and MANY other retailers use this practice to trick certain consumers into thinking he/​she is getting superior product for cheap.
Anyway, I recently browsed the store for a last minute find for a party my S/​O was attending that night. The store is broken down into women’s petite and small. As usual, no tall women or men’s clothing is stocked in store.
Store: Larger than I expected, sufficient stock and neat.
Service: Slow b/​c of few cashiers, but they are friendly. Sales staff were helpful.
Security: Overdone. You’ll see random people pretending to shop and breathing down your neck, but they are actually guards waiting for you to steal that flimsy see-​through «cashmere» sweater made in China.
I get it. There’s lots of sheisty things that go down in this area, but they need better training to spot real potential thieves and not target people who work in the area and come to browse or buy. You’d think they were guarding a diamond vault in this place. I won’t be back.
