Took over 20 minutes to make my milkshake. At first they made the wrong. Seemed like they did not what they were doing ATALL. I will not be coming back until they hire people who actually know how to their job.

Scoopfest 2014: Had a very different experience midday at this 24 – 7 joint than elsewhere, and the surprisingly not-terrible Spiderman flavor was a relative deal at $ 1.

I had checked online at the BR website to see how much time their stores would need to order a custom ice cream cake. The site says at least 24-hours. Okay fine, I thought this would be a great idea for my bf’s birthday. I arrived on a Friday afternoon to order my cake for a Sunday afternoon pick-up, but was turned away. Apparently, this location ONLY takes cake orders Monday through Thursday. After confusion and frustration grazed over my face, the sales associated said he’d be happy to take my order but pick-up will have to be on Tuesday. Um, hello!!! How does that help my situation? It doesn’t and I’m sorry I even wasted my time here!

I’ve never had such rude service in my life. There was a sign that told us to try some flavors out, so my friend and I ask for a sample of the same flavor. She hands me one, and we remind her that my friend would also like one too. She looked at the both of us, raised her eyebrow, and cocked her lip as if to say, «Are you serious?» It was like she was judging us. She was absolutely reluctant to give us even the first sample, let alone the second. She then asked her manager if it was okay to give each of us a sample. How cheap could she be? What did she expect from us? To lick from the same minispoon? It was that look that she gave us that topped it all off. I was about to buy a scoop, but I was so offended that I just walked out.

If it could, it would be a zero. My friend and I came into this Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin Robbins because we needed to check on some donut pricing for an event, and given that I have a massive sweet tooth, the sight of ice cream always makes me think about getting a scoop. We walk up to the ice cream counter and ask to try the flavor of the month, some hyper dark chocolate fudge looking that looks delicious. When we ask for a sample, the woman helping us has trouble understanding that we want to actually taste the ice cream before we buy but eventually she gets the idea and gives my friend one sample. Then when I ask for a sample myself, she turns to the owner or boss, whoever and says that they want a sample like it some sort of problem and then when I ask again and clarify that I want to try it, her lip visibly twitches as she gives us the most hostile unfriendly glare I’ve ever experienced in a food establishment… like she thought we were going to rip the ice cream tub out and run out the door. We felt completely insulted and unwelcome that we decided to leave immediately after completing our errand. No ice cream. As long as there are unfriendly people like her working there, I won’t be going to this place, and neither should you.

More incompetence from someone who had no clue how a coupon works. Furthermore, when I asked the cashier to explain why the banana split was excluded from the«Buy 1 Sundae, Get a Second for 99 Cents» offer when both the menu behind & the website list the banana split as a sundae, she didn’t say a word. When you don’t respond to a simple, logical question, it says to me that I’m right & you’re dead wrong. Sadly, they had more diversity of ice cream flavors than in my neighborhood but I wasn’t about to cater to this woman’s incompetence & attempt to break the law. We chose to take our business to the location on 1st Avenue, where service was much better.

Being a Unilocaler, I feel obligated to poo-poo chain stores and only seek independent restaurants. Yet the ice cream I had at Baskin Robbins last night was so good I just can’t stop from raving about it. Now, I only went to BR because I had a BOGO coupon — I wouldn’t have thought of it otherwise. I had the chocolate malted caramel something — it was really, really delicious. And at $ 2.93 for a really big scoop, what’s not to like? With a BOGO coupon, you get two scoops for $ 2.93! Awesome! My boyfriend got the pumpkin pie, which I didn’t think was as awesome as mine.

Yesterday was 31CENT/SCOOP night!!! The whole entire morning was just a tease… I knew I couldn’t go until after 9pm… and the deal ends @10pm! Oh I was itching for ice cream right after dinner… I google mapped the closest one and DASHED! Walked in and NOLINE! .the guy behind the counter yelled, 15MINUTESLEFT! …hmmmm why was he so loud when there was no line? I’m not deaf! YAY for having NOCC minimum! My cousin did pay the ~$ 2 check with his CC… haha I laughed and gave him an odd look, but then I took a lick of my free ice cream and went into ecstasy.
