Vodka/Red Bulls are $ 18. You’d be lucky if you’re able to move anywhere.

This place is pretty good. I went here to celebrates someones birthday and I must day being VIP makes a huge difference. 1) No wait on the long line 2) Complimentary bottles 3) Vibe was great 4) Very selective crowd Sadly I did some issues. The first was with mr attitude aka the bouncer. This dude needs to tune it down a lot. Secondly the place was packed and certain corners had those clumps of guys… no es bueno. But the great bartenders and fine ladies made it worth the while… going with people you know definitely adds to the experience.

this place is the worst piece of crap on the island of manhattan. all they care about is their cover charge of $ 20 for a piece of sh** place no one cares about. i stumbled upon it with my friends and regret it so much! seriously, please don’t even step foot into this place. i wish i had all the outlets of the internet to stop people from going. they forced my friends and i to leave bc we didn’t feel comfortable checking out blazers. like i said, all they care about is money. a blazer is not a coat, paired with the correct top, it is a fashion garment. i was wearing a tank top under but paired it with a blazer bc it is cold outside, it’s still 30 degrees outside. they only wanted $ 4 from each of us to make more money. they are unkind. rude. and i currently have a better business bureau complaint against them for trying to make females remove their clothing for no good reason. the police were outside to hear my complaint and they said a lot of people complain about the place because a lot of fighting goes on there. they suggested the only thing i can do is report it to the bbb unless i was seriously injured and had to call an ambulance. do yourself a favor. there are plenty of places to go in manhattan. don’t ruin your night in this one.

So usually I don’t review places when I didn’t choose to go there. But this is an exception. I was invited here for a private party that started at 7 on a Saturday. During the time when it was just our group — it was great. Of course, we’d brought in our own DJ. And snacks. And had arranged for drinks… but once that wore off… eek. Actually — even during our party there were questions. This was one of those places where your drink ticket gets you nothing special… just cheap wine. Deciding to try something stronger, I asked for a Maker’s on the rocks… and was warned that it was $ 15(not bad… but more than I’m accustomed in the Bay Area), but that the well bourbon was actually good… it wasn’t. I’ve never been so glad for the ice to melt to make it tolerable. Then since it was getting late and the crowd was changing, I asked to close my tab. Apparently there’s a $ 20 minimum. Well I’d just had the $ 8 nasty bourbon, and my friends were ready to go. It required a bit of a back and forth to get them to charge the $ 8 and a 20% gratuity(on putting 3 ice cubes and pouring nastiness on top!!!) on my card. I can’t say that I would go back without a good reason… like good friends.

Yeah this is one of those places I saw alot of 1 star reviews and thought really, I mean it can’t be that bad. but yeah this is a review I should have done around last Halloween beacause I went to an event there in that time frame. U know so I was in the spot with about 21 other people, we had a section reserved in the corner and bought some bottles obviously but it started to get a bit pricey. I mean we had some people here who were just college students on no income but the club was really coming up to the group alot to buy more bottles ‚.I mean yeah I understand this is a big group. I mean we buy a bottle here then don’t expect someone to come back less than 20 minutes later so say are u getting another bottle. It was right before Halloween so some from the group were dressed mostly animé related outfits but I however just showed up but did not dress, haha. I mean I guess the vibe was pretty chill and most guys and girls did get to dance their ass off. The waiter though I remember was kind of crappy. I guess the only thing good was we didn’t really intend to stay long at all the whole night. Getting in free helped it not get a one star review I guess. I think it might be better though with another shot at this place

DONOT use your debit/credit card here!!! i was completely scammed, first off, the blonde idiot bartender kept adding drinks my husband nor i ever drink. we had to make her take them off. i’m pretty sure there were a couple of drinks that we could not verify that we still paid for. and because drinks are highway robbery(hell, we were at a CLUB! what did we expect, right?) the bill was sky high, but it was one of our closest friends birthdays so we let that slide. then she authorized an additional charge of about half that, which she had to unauthorize. WTF??? flashforward to today(3 days later) and there is a separate charge on our account almost DOUBLE of what we initially paid. if you have at least a junior college education, you KNOW what that means. my bank is on it. to say the least i’m PISSED. of course this happens at a goddamned club! i f-ing hate clubs, hate em forever!!! and the crowd was horrid, just horrid!

(1) Yes, I’ve been roped into going to an AZN party here. At the time it wasn’t so bad, but looking back at the experience? Eh. (2) Yes, I’ve been to a «professional event» here. My pals and I bounced outta there right and got grub at Congee Village (3) I celebrated my birthday here a few years ago. WAY overpriced and our waiter told us about a discount that didn’t exist. (4) Drinks are not to their full alcoholic capabilities. Not a fan. (5) Will I end up going here again someday? Unfortunately inevitable.

I’ve been here twice — Thanksgiving Eve ’09& for NYE ’10. The interior design isn’t all that great, but it has a huge dance floor which is a plus. The Asian bartender had always made my drinks nice & strong. The music was so-so. The crowd Thanksgiving Eve was a nice looking crowd, but the NYE crowd was terrible. I’ve given the place a try & it’s not on my list to ever go back to again.

I have been to BLVD a few times, but the most recent experience has been after a friend’s private birthday party. I think BLVD is a lovely club, but the way it is set up was disappointing. My friend had full reign of upstairs and downstairs. The problem with that is it felt like everyone was compartmentalized. The place was way too crowded and it was almost too big. The bouncers were kind of nasty to some of the people trying to get in and turned a way a high level NBA player, whom was invited! BLVD is cool, drinks were great, but they need to be a bit more organized for private events. However, I would go back; I believe in second chances.

I was roped into attending a holiday party at BLVD, and although I have many, many questions(as this is a highly questionable place), here are my top three. 1. To the pretty Asian bartender working on the left side of the bar on the main floor: lady, what is your malfunction? Yes, I realize the drink special was vodka cranberries for $ 6. But every single one of your compatriots had no issue with making a vodka soda instead. It’s not like I wanted Red Bull. We’re paying for the liquor, not the mixer. But no, you insisted a vodka soda would be the regular(ridiculous) price of $ 10. Yes, I got a vodka cranberry, but don’t think that I appreciate this increased urinary health, as well as a reduced risk of heart disease. 2. Who prepared the food? I’ll thank you for not screwing up the pigs in a blanket(nearly impossible), and the risotto balls were actually pretty good. Unfortunately, in the darkness they were indistinguishable from the abominable chicken meatballs, which, much like the chicken skewers, were both dry and flavorless to the point of being inedible. The hummus was merely not good, but at least the rock hard pita it was served on took the focus off the flavor.(I also burned myself on the crappy, frozen spring rolls, but I blame myself for that.) 3. Whose absurd idea was it to turn everything off at 11:30 pm on a Saturday? I realize the specials were over, but if you left the music on, and the lights off, perhaps people would’ve stuck around and kept drinking. Instead, everyone rushed the coat check. SHOCKER. And we all had to wait for 45 minutes through this clusterfuck while your attendants were assaulted by an angry crowd of people who probably would’ve tipped them otherwise. Honestly, there are bound to be irrational bartenders, and no one goes to a place like BLVD for the food, but this last decision blew my mind. You’re shutting down a dance club in downtown Manhattan at midnight on a Saturday, with a huge crowd of people already inside? What kind of business decision is that? Why throw away the money they would spend, as well as block the doors to your establishment as you herd them out? There is nothing more frustrating than being stuck waiting on line in a place you don’t want to be.

Beautiful space in downtown Manhattan. I’m sick of people complaining about the music of a venue and blaming the venue for it. When you review a space, please do just that. The DJ changes as the days of the week changes, so don’t give a beautiful clean venue like BLVD a one star review because someone with turntables thinks he should quit his day job to play bad music for a living. BLVD is a great location, and the place is cleaner than most clubs in NYC. When you plan on coming here to party, ask the people who invited you about the type of party you’re getting yourself into. Not all nights are created equal. Don’t blame the venue when you enter the doors blindly into a DJ Amateur night.

So I went here for a law school event(yes, law schools do have social events), so the event was pretty good, considering $ 20 got you unlimited, top shelf alcohol for 4 hours. What I don’t understand is the music selection at BLVD. The most recent songs the DJ played were from 2006. Oh, but there was were one or two songs from 2009, thrown in for good measure. Most of the songs were from the 80’s, I think. I don’t know – I’m too young to remember the 80’s. The bartenders were pretty nice, except this one woman who obviously either hated people or drank a bunch of haterade before coming to work. Seriously, if you’re a bitch in the service industry, you’ll, at the least, not get tipped, or, you’ll, get fired.

I was here for a corporate marketing event, so yeah… for something like that: 1) I got in free, 2) drinks were free and 3) it was all about business. For that purpose, it’s NOT bad. You’re not in with a random crowd. The crowd is pre-selected for the most part and when the vibe is like that, you can actually relax and enjoy yourself. I did, so 3-stars.

I might be too generous giving this place 5 stars bc i’ve only been here twice. but the rating is due to my last visit. i came early bc my friend was DJing from 10 – 12. Then Cipha Sounds and Funkmasta Flex DJed the rest of the night. Webstarr performed. That place was poppppin!!! Nice sized venue, strong drinks, and a diverse crowd. I go mainly for the music and the DJs had everyone on the floor that entire night!

DJ Adrian and Mysterious D(aka Bootie) had their NYC Monthly Mashup Bootleg Party at BLVD. — RSVP’d same day of event. — Reduced admission, $ 5(normally $ 10) — First 100 peeps get free mashup CDs — Doors open at 10pm. We arrived at 10pm to get our CDs and hands — At 10pm, we were the first ones there. — We paid, got our hands stamped, got our CD and headed of for some pool action at Soho Billiards estimating to be back by 11:30ish. — Giant blow doll of a Pirate being tossed around — A ‘human rug’, some guy rolled up in a rug placed near the bar, a first for me. — DJ Lobsterdust was spinning the wheels of steel around 1am. — The music was pumping — The drag queens were jumpin’ — And some people were humpin’ — Dance your ass off was the theme of the evening. — Only complaint was that the bathroom situation. It sucked big time! The equivalent of 3 stalls/bathrooms for so many partygoers and they are serving booze? Recipe for disaster.

Music — good, but then towards 1am I had NO idea what they were playing Drinks — I ordered a pinot noir, it wasn’t that so I exchanged for a merlot, and that wasn’t a merlot so I got a rum and coke which basically was a COKE Getting in — was on a guest list, but it was too high in security Environment — huge huge huge, not so much AC, crowded, and it was Asian night or something… I’ll pass next time. I prefer smaller lounges!
