Horrible service never b there ever again, bartenders so rude and mean. First and last time for me, never think that I’m gonna get that bad experience at the bar just like that. So unprofessional!

Started off my Halloween night here with some friends. With both the World Series and Halloween going on, the place was at capacity when I arrived. I was actually told to wait outside because they couldn’t let anyone in until someone else left… The bouncer was pretty adamant about this rule, but he was polite about it. Thankfully the movement in and out of the bar was relatively fluid, because I was able to meet up with my friends after just a few minutes.
McCabe’s is a typical sports bar. Its location on St. Marks Place makes it convenient for barhopping, but I wouldn’t consider it in my repertoire of frequent stomping grounds. Although, I would love to be back on a non-​holiday to experience the true vibe!

Bulls is an amazing dive bar. Our bartender David was amazing. The music, outdoor seating, selection of beers and sprites on point. I will come back over and over again. I’m back again love this place.

Good happy hour. Pretty solid assortment of drinks. Outdoor seating. Interesting area. Pretty solid «dive bar» feel with out being dingy.

Hands down my favorite bar on saint marks. It’s always a good time. Never overly crowded. Personally I enjoy a bar that you can choose to hangout with just your friends or try to meet new people and this bar lets you do both.
They always have good music playing, and the bartenders are always super nice.

Nice place lets u bring food in from the outside. Very reasonable priced mixed drinks and specials. Bar tenders are very nice. Try it out and it’s on a fun block. St marks place

Not exactly my cup of tea but this place is decent. It’s dated and strung up but the environment is cool when you’re with some friends and going bar hopping.

I’ll always miss this place. I’ve moved away from NYC but since the first time I stepped through the doors in 1997… fond memories. Good for a game of pool or relaxing in the back patio with the downed plane. We used to call this place Filthy McNasty’s.

Long Live Bull McCabes! honestly just a great and comfy bar. The bar staff is very helpful and at night it gets really packed but they try their best to make an effort to reach every customer. The pool table and dart machine are descent and the drinks are reasonably priced. The crowd that comes on certain nights is terrific and the the overall place is quite fun. If your looking for a simple bar then you found it! Great job Bulls!!!

Cider on tap, good bartenders and solid space. I like coming here when I’m looking to grab a drink alone.

Dive bar. Nice place to have a Guinness. One. After that, if you are not in college, you should move on.

I went in the other night with a group of friends on our way to another bar as they have a pool table and darts. Great music, cool and entertaining bartenders and oh, the picklebacks are delicious. Great music, great beer selection and my girlfriend was enjoying their wine. Was my first time in there and won’t be my last. Also, they close at 4am which seems to be a rarity nowadays.

Fun, chill dive bar full of un-​pretentious people. And if you’re lucky, you can play a game of darts of pool. I like the crowd and the bar tenders. Even when it’s crowded, its not too crowded that you can’t move or talk. I like to go here for a drink or two and explore the rest of St Mark’s Place bars.

Typical college town dive bar. Prices are fairly reasonable. Great dark dank dive bar atmosphere. They have some games to play but the bartenders were always really busy and it can take a while to get your drink and/​or check.
I usually stop in here for a beer and to use the bathroom when I go to St. Mark’s Place. It’s a nice place to decompress after a day of shopping/​eating when it isn’t crowded.

I love the dart board and the pool tables, the bartenders are decent (never really got to know them), and the vibe is pretty chill. But the prices are so expensive. There are no deals, aside from like. $ 6 rolling rocks, which isn’t a deal, especially with 13^th step having $ 1 drafts of anything so close by. But the crowd is much more mature here. I’d come back. It’s not a bad bar. Just not a party bar, definitely very divey-​y and chill.

I wish I could give this place more than 3 stars, but there were a few bumps along the way.
Pros:
–Reasonably priced drinks ($ 5 Fireball shots!).
–No minimum for credit cards.
–Personable bartenders.
–A lot of space for seating.
Cons:
–REALLY strong mixed drinks. Guess you get your money’s worth, but I couldn’t taste anything but the rum in my rum and coke.
–Very college-​age crowd. Personally, I was hoping more for a dive bar where I could catch up with a friend, but as the group of college-​age girls at the bar kept screaming every five minutes, «c’est la vie!»
–My friend and I dealt with some aggressive male customers. We ultimately left because one person kept trying to grab her, leaving us feeling uncomfortable.
I’d think I would enjoy it more if I came midweek. Overall, I just wasn’t feeling the vibe that night. The friendly bartenders at Bull McCabe’s make me want to try this place again.

Great place to go. It has a homey neighborhood vibe to it. The bartenders always remember you if you come more than once. They have a pool table in the back of the bar which is fun. Also darts as well.
:BATHROOM ALERT:
The woman’s bathroom is somewhat clean. It is not bad considering it is on St. Marks place. The toilet paper is always well stocked which is a good thing. The soap is always there.
It is a very roomey place to have a lot of your friends come with you and the music is random which is always a treat.

Sometimes you find yourself on St. Mark’s Place, and yet you are not a teenager. This is one place to go.
Bull McCabe’s is surprisingly spacious. It doesn’t aspire to be more than a dive bar, and it isn’t. But they’ve got good drafts, a friendly staff, and outdoor seating on nice days.

It is what it is. And it’s a dive bar. So I guess that’s A-​OK. I haven’t been here at night, but a group of us were in search of some Easter Sunday post-​brunch digestive relaxing in the sun with a beer in hand. We walked from Union Square before we came across Bull McCabe’s.
The slightly sub-​terrainian, below street level outdoor seating is perfect for sitting in the Spring afternoon sun. It’s also great for viewing the funky Saint Mark’s Square crowd strolling by. And it IS funky, even in the daytime. If you rather be in the dark watching a game or shooting pool, you have that option.
The rest room is small, the urinals spaced about 2 inches apart with no dividers, and behind the door. You could get smashed into the urinal if someone opens the door too fast. Everything is covered in graffiti and stickers, or slaps if you will. Very divey and goes with the place.
But, $ 5 for a bigger-​than-​a-​pint of Hoegaarden draft, and I was happy on a slow Easter afternoon.

Returned on st pattys day. jack isn’t watered down anymore. Maybe they read my review?
I guess when the liquor is real and the mood is just right, the place isn’t so bad. I can add it back to the rotation as a quick drink spot before dinner in st marks.
