Surprisingly fun play! The character Clint, Batina and Frankie are very memorable. Dago-Czech is hilarious. It was easy to notice which character reflects Woody Harrelson’s personality. The title of this play is a reflects of the comical side of this Off-Broadway play. I definitely walked out with a big smile on my face.

I felt this show is better than some of the shows I’ve seen lately on Broadway. I thought the character of Clint was hilarious. And for goodness sake it’s DAGO-CZECH!!! Get it right peeps! That was funny for me! I also met Woody Harrelson twice that day… AWESOME! See photo! Thanks to Ruggy and Unilocal I got to meet one of my favorite actors of all time!

Thanks to the wonderful guys and gals at Unilocal(I’m looking at you Ruggy), I scored a ticket to this show at the New World Stages. Had a slow start, wish I knew more about the characters from the beginning, but it was kinda funny & pretty entertaining. Really liked the montage of 80s commercials, news reels & music though, that was probably my favorite part of the show. Loved the use of the screens to depict outdoor activities within the play. I’d recommend it for people who like plays but don’t like a clear plot line until the second act and even then you only kinda know what’s happening. Some of the actors weren’t good with projecting their voices and instead it came off as yelling to me. So, I’m no theater expert but I do know what I like and this was ehh…

What a great show, Woody Harrelson lived upto the expectation. This show was a perfect example of Good direction, awesome cast and music, all the prerequistes for a good broadway show. The plot of the show is based during the summer of 1983, in the sweltering heat of Houston. It talks about an unlikely friendship which is formed when a couple of mid-western rubes with uncertain futures meet up with a slick New Yorker on the run from his past. The disappearance of a WWII artifact(A gun) sets off a chain of events that proves that nothing changes the present like a blast from the past. The characters that populate this new comedy by real-life friends Woody Harrelson and Frankie Hyman are based on real people, though the events depicted are fiction and the names have been changed to protect the not-so-innocent. The cast members did a great job spceially Tyler Jacob Rollinson who played Frankie and debutant Shannon Garland who played Batina. The fun part was also the clips shown on the big screens as soon as plot finished during the show. Definitely one the best shows I have seen till date!
