Love this mom and pop coffee joint. Sorry to see that it’s closed. Hopefully it reopens or relocates.

Café Boca Ciega NY: Manhattan: Tribeca 12pm Sunday 19th October 2014 Four stars I hate to break their 5 star streak but it was a four star experience. I ordered a mini pastry and a cappuccino, which only comes in a Togo cup since its a coffee stand and not a café. The espresso was good. The foam wasn’t pretty but enjoyable. It was milk heavy. The pastry was slightly stale but became much better after a dunk in the coffee. The barista was friendly.

Best Cortadito I’ve had in the city… so happy to find an authentic Cuban Café! Also Steven the barista was very friendly!

Love this hole-in-the-wall coffee on the go(standing room only) storefront is just that — it is not a restaurant or café in the traditional sense. Of course they could put a couple of tables and chairs on the sidewalk, but… The coffee is consistently good AND fairly priced(my thing after all…). The pastries are okay but I wish they had more savory items and not just sweet. Four stars because you can’t get a receipt — otherwise it would be a 5 star place for me.

Cute little Cuban coffee stop. I say stop, not a shop because its something you literally can walk by and order. I used my cups app(if you haven’t heard of it go look it up, its awesome!) and i got a delicious latte. I would definitely stop here more often if i was in the area.

Found this window in a bit of coffee dessert. Haven’t ordered any substantial solids, but the iced latte I did have was amazing. Loved the lively Cuban music. Yay Sunday mornings!

Thinking I want another amidst drinking a latte. The silkiest splendor of a latte got me addicted– hot or iced. Best baristas ever by the way. Café Boca Ciega makes me feel some type of way. Highly recommend to all you coffee feins, aka new york city.

This little place is just a window front. There’s no seating, but the coffee is solid. I stopped by on a Saturday and asked what everything on the list was because I hadn’t heard of a lot of the items. The cafecito is equivalent to a sweetened espresso the Colada is like three shots of espresso– not to be consumed by one person the cortadito is pretty much a sweet macchiato elsewhere the café con leche was equivalent to a latte I got the last one and it was surprisingly strong. Other Spanish speaking restaurants would simply serve a café con leche with coffee and milk, but Boca’s espresso really cut through all that milk to give the beverage a pronounced and flavorful cup. It was very satisfying. I highly recommend this place and would return if I ever found myself in this area again.

The café con leche was wonderful — an unexpected surprise. It was one of the best that I’ve had in the US. There was no place to sit, but I found a park further down broadway to stop and sip it slowly. When I finished, I almost went back for another. I’m not often in this part of the city, but if I do come back I’ll try to revisit this place… and maybe try one of their pastries.

Sometimes I am in midtown, enjoying my 5th Starbucks iced coffee of the day, when I decide I want a real, authentic coffee treat. I immediately hop a 1 train to Canal street(although I should be running there after 5 iced coffees) to Café Boca Ciega and get myself a Cortadito – the most amazing-tasting and artfully-crafted sweetened espresso topped with foamed milk for a well-worth-it $ 3. Walk-up location is super-convenient, and I appreciate that their menu is small and to the point. This is Cuban coffee for coffee lovers.

Being Cuban myself, I’m a bit skeptical of places that advertise to be Cuban in NYC. A few friends recommended the newly opened Café Boca Ciega so I made it down today to check it out. It’s official! This place is legit Cuban. From the pastelitos to the cortaditos, this place has it all. Not to mention the guava cheesecake that is to die for. Aside from the prices, it’s exactly like a Cuban café in Miami but with a boutique feel. Great little spot! Recommended to all.

Good coffee is hard to find but good Cuban coffee is impossible to find, until now. The Café Con Leche is the only way to start your day & the sweet treats they have are to die for! If your downtown and need a coffee or sugar fix, you’ve got to stop by here. Great walk up window, that makes it an easy and quick stop.

Amazing Cuban coffee which is so hard to find in ny! Cute window you walk up to and grab a café con leche and be on your way. I also had the guava cheese cake that was to good to put words too. A great place to stop at if your in TriBeCa.
