They are only on the corner Monday, Wednesday, Friday now, but the food is still great.

«There is no good MeXican in New York» — every person I’ve ever met from California, even though they’ve YET to go to a REAL MeXican restaurant in the MeXican areas of the other 4 boroughs. Dramatic and judging without full evidence much? Hater much? Just like southerners who think fried chicken can only be good if made from the magical, unicorn like ingredients only found in their state, Cali peeps think MeXican was invented in fucking California! Like, fur sure Becky! I’m not gonna judge ALL of California for these average, bland, Americanized, burritos. They’re cheap, big and tasty… enough. These guys are the only game in this hood for a quick, «Mexican» lunch that won’t hurt your wallet. Oh, and they’re mad cool and take cards.

The food at this cart is crazy good. The tacos and rolled quesadillas are fantastic. The crack sauce is aptly named. You’re going to be waiting a long time, but it’s totally worth it.

Really great burrito and crack sauce is a must. Might want to avoid lunch rush as the line can get long. They are quick, but it’s a food truck and there’s just so much you can do.

They have a sauce called«Crack sauce» because that is how damn good it is. What else do you need to know? You’re getting exactly what you pay for. A premium gourmet amazingly delicious burrito. I would say I’ve had a lot of different burritos from a lot of different places and this is definitely one of the best in NYC. If you see a Calexico Cart anywhere you should definitely do yourself a favor and even if you’re not hungry, GETONE.

I love getting lunch here. I always try and get there early to beat the lines. The food is prepared pretty quickly though. Quesadillas are the way to go. I am quite partial to the plain cheese with jalapenos added. I found the black beans in the black bean quesadilla a bit runny and this made it too soggy. I find the crack sauce too creamy when paired with the amount of cheese on the quesadilla, but they have packets of cholula hot sauce which is more to my liking. A side of guac is also great when you like to apply your hot sauce liberally. Make sure you grab a few napkins as things can get pretty messy. Tasty stuff!

Yes!!! This place is the bomb! Love the black bean taco! The quesadilla with the black beans rolled up into a mini burrito had me sold. The sauce that comes with it is down right tasty! And the staff is friendly and quick. Fabulous prices and excellent walking food when you have to run. Dare I say it, my favorite food truck ever! If you are in NY go to any of there locations! :-)

Best Burrito in the city! Hands Down. There is always a line during lunch time so its better to go to the cart after 3pm. Make sure you get a side of Crazy sauce.

The closest thing you will find to a true southwest/texmex burrito stand here in NYC. I grew up on such food, and when I moved to NYC a few years ago, I was amazed at the seemingly endless variety of good food, but equally disappointed in void of TexMex fare. Calexico does much to mitigate this disappointment. The carne asada is well-cooked and does remind me of home. The«crack sauce» is a must try, and brings a unique and appealing touch to sour cream. The tortillas taste as they should, non-commercial with a hint of canola. The missing two stars is for having to wait on a very long line while outside and because it is not quite as good as home. One should not have to spend a significant amount of time waiting for food from a truck, it defeats the purpose. The other locations for their cart are equally good and with shorter lines, I’d upgrade this to a four star review.

YUMMMMMMM. If I’m in SoHo and it’s lunchtime, I’m going here. Guaranteed. This truck is soooo good and def worth the 20 min wait that happens there during the summertime rush. I always get the black bean burrito since I don’t eat meat. It’s perfect and WAY better than Chipotle and probably most burritos, like, ever. Seriously. You can taste the beans, cheese, tomatos and the amazing crack sauce. CRACKSAUCEISDABEST. Also they manage the giant line of people really well. You go there and order and they let you know how long it will take(up to 20 – 30 mins sometimes). You can go shop around in the meantime! Also they give you a hell of a lot of food for only $ 7. YAY.

Delicious! Very good and organized for a food truck. I heard about ‘Calexico’ but kind of forgot about it until I came across their truck. It was exactly what I was looking for. Inexpensive, quick and great Mexican food. Although trying to find a Mexican spot in NYC isn’t too difficult, not all of them are as affordable. I got the black bean burrito & I loved every bite, The«crack-sauce» is so good and definitely addicting. It was cooked perfectly and the portion size was worth the $ 7. They’ve got a good thing going at this cart. Will definitely be going back and trying more items!

Quite good«Cali» style Mexican food. Everything is made fresh and fast on the streets of Soho. Tacos are great, my typical lunch would be one carne asada taco and one chipotle pork taco with a side of rice and beans. That’s all you really need. Very fresh, light, and tasty tacos. A little pricey for street cart tacos, but your in Soho and they happen to be quite delicious.

Amazing, amazing, amazing $ 3 tacos. What more do you need? I had the chipotle pork. My friend had the pollo verde, and both were wonderful. The meat was cooked perfectly — juicy and flavorful. The pickled onions(my favorite taco topping) were super refreshing in contrast with the smokey chipotle, and the corn tortillas were fresh and warm and … just yum. My only(very small) complaint is that the chipotle could have had a little more spice to it. But still delicious. And the best part was the taco was so stuffed, one was plenty for a quick lunch. Best $ 3 I spent all weekend.

My co-worker and i walked pass this place once, and saw a huge line, and we promised each other that we will definitely going to come next time to try it out and we did! We got there at around 11:35am on a weekday, and they just started to open, after we put in our order, the line started to form… so crazy! I got a pulled-pork taco, and a ground beef burrito for $ 10…so CHEAP! omg…the taco and the burrito was sooooo good… and full of flavors. i chowed that thing down like a starving child… so not glamorous and cute. but what the heck… as long as im a fed child right?!

Great burrotos. I’m always looking for a good burrito or taco, and this cart delivers. Great quality meat in the carne asada burrito, stands up to some of the better taquerias in the Mission neighborhood of San Francisco. Wish they were open in SoHo more regularly.

Calexico, I stopped at the corner of Broome/Crosby today because I was craving a pork quesadilla with rice and avocado and crack sauce and you were nowhere to be found. :(this is the 2nd time in recent weeks I’ve looked for you at this location and you’re not there. I know about the Prince/Wooster location but it was too far to walk to today during my short lunch hour. Are you no longer serving at Broome/Crosby? ps. I’d give you a 5-star rating but you weren’t around today when I really needed you. Next time I’m sure you’ll get the 5. Always a fan, Alyssa P.

I saw Calexico on the Martha Stewart show(May 2009) and she said the food from these carts are the best in the city. I had to see and eat for myself. I went to the one in Soho. This cart was the express cart and only sold burrito’s, the one in uptown(Wooster and Prince) had more to offer. I ordered a steak burrito w/o beans. The meat was chewy and still raw. If it was cooked longer, I could have eaten the meat. Overall it was just OK.
