Stopped for breakfast, nice décor, comfortable. Really enjoyed the shaved fruit salad for breakfast. Also ordered a generous portion of chicken sausage and red potatoes. Good stop for breakfast if you are visiting the lower east side

The food was okay, not the best. They gave out little individual jars of jam, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard which was cute. But the service was pretty slow and not attentive. Although it says that it closes at 11PM here, the waiter starting to kick us out at 3PM asking to close us up.

Used a groupon deal here and decided on the steak. Whilst the ambience was nice and the service was good, I have to say the deal was not worth it. The steak was on the thin side, didnt have much flavor and not worthy of the price, even at a reduced cost. Left feeling like Groupons never seem to be worth the hassle.

Came by here for brunch with a few friends on Saturday around 1… It was deserted, just a few people were there but couldn’t understand why. The food is very good. They had a brunch special menu and I ordered the vegetarian egg sandwich. It’s served on a warm ciabatta bread that was exactly soft — usually they’re hard and difficult to bite into. It was served with a side of salad and was delicious. The place is very clean and would be great for groups. The price is very cheap I paid 25 including tip. I would definitely come by here if I had a large group of people in my party.

Had a groupon coupon for this. The ambiance is good. The food is just OK. Nothing great at all. Very limited menu. Had ordered a salmon. the salmon was good but did not go with the sides on the plate. It made it taste sweet. Also found it to be on costlier side. The gratuity of 18% was already added as I had bought it from Groupon. So in the end, did not land up with a great discount.

«A beginners french restaurant» ha great description but they did get get the obnoxious french waiter part and the overpriced menu right House wine is not so good, and for $ 10 in the wrong glass– you don’t get to be obnoxious, and you certainly do not get to automatically add gratuity… forgot about that– extra lost star for that. The open modern dining area is nice, but loud. Kitchen is downstairs– Up and down up and down, ooof.

Used my pulsd deal here and was pretty impressed. The service was awesome — staff was very attentive. Even when we couldn’t get in touch with the waitress(since we were the only party outside), the bussers were more than happy to take orders for the next round. Food was awesome — had the eggs viking(think eggs benedict with smoked salmon) and mom dukes had the crab eggs benedict(if i remember correctly). Both were solid choices and well prepared. The deal was $ 29 for unlimited mimosas/bellinis/bloody marys and those 2 entrees. Well worth it. Good brunch spot in Nolita.

Came here with a girlfriend and we had a really fun time! I had gotten the Groupon for 2 entrees and a bottle of wine. I’d also had a discount code for the Groupon, so this was an incredible deal! As others have said, even though the space is large it still somehow felt a little crowded, but not bad. I was super happy with the vegetarian options(rare for a french restaurant). I had some kind of gnocchi– artichoke I think? It was quite good, and I ate the whole thing without really intending to(the wine helped). Definitely a nice place, but the normal prices are pretty high for food that isn’t super remarkable. I’m not sure if I’d return without a Groupon or something similar.

It was kind of suspect that the place was way too empty on a Friday night, but we got the pulsd deal for dinner here so let’s give this a try. For $ 29, the Pulsd deal got us a bottle of red or white wine and two entrees. You read that right — all that for $ 29 period, not per person. I decided to go ALL out and pay an extra $ 9 for the filet mignon. Right, that brings my share of the bill(excluding tip) to a whopping $ 24! FYI, the filet mignon regular price is $ 33. We ended up with filet mignon with spinach, mushroom, and string beans in a pink peppercorn sauce and the grilled branzino with asparagus, wild rice, and veggies. You would think or expect that they will skimp on the food, but not the case. Not only is the portion big, but the cut of meat was not bad at all. I asked for medium for my steak and it was cooked just right. The waitress was absolutely friendly and attentive. She came to recommend things off the menu and refilled our glasses regularly. I would totally recommend this place to anyone and come again! Get the pulsd deal before this spot gets too popular and the deal gets pulled!

Came here on a pulsd deal for bottomless brunch. Prior to coming here I had no idea it was a hotel-affiliated restaurant, so I was a little surprised to walk in and find a vast space that looks like something between a lounge and a hotel lobby. The décor is modern-chic, brightly lit, but the tables were a little too close together imo in spite of its roomy appearance. Food: I got the good ol’ eggs benedict — properly poached eggs but the dish as a whole wasn’t mindblowing. The potatoes were surprisingly delicious though, especially with the tomato hollandaise sauce(which came with my friend’s crabcake benedict). The hollandaise sauce on my eggs benny wasn’t thick enough for my liking, but at least the eggs were runny! Drinks: To milk the most out of our voucher, I had 2 bellinis and 1 mimosa. Not a fan of tomato-tasting things so I didn’t try the bloody mary, but my friend did. I won’t share secondhand tasting experience but it looked very pulpy. Like you could count the slivers of horseradish inside the glass. And the celery stick was HUGE, as if calling for you to chomp down on it like a herbivore. I thought the mimosa was okay, but the bellini definitely trumps imo. Just a faint peachy taste and the prosecco was very smooth. If you had to pick, definitely go for the bellini. Service: Not very efficient in the beginning, which might be because they had just opened for brunch when we arrived and slightly shortstaffed. Staff were overall courteous and, surprisingly, very accommodating. Friend didn’t like the first bloody mary she ordered and when she asked for another one to be made differently(i.e. a smoother blend and take out the horseradish), they readily complied with the request. When we got our check, we found that only one bloody mary was charged — they basically made an exchange without her explicitly asking for it. I thought that was nice of them. Overall, a decent brunch spot, but if you’re thinking of trying it out and don’t want to shell out $ 80-$ 100, get the pulsd deal. The ambience is more billable than the food.

We really liked this place! We went there to have a huge breakfast before our departure. We had herb omelettes, granola, pancakes and cheese omelette with bacon. The granola was truly the best I’ve ever had!!! The yoghurt was smooth and the granola was super tasty(although quite sugary) and there was plenty of it. The berries were fresh as well. The herb omelette wasn’t too heavy and the taste was good. The pancakes were a bit weird, they had some odd spice on them — those I wouldn’t recommend. The place looked nice and the staff was absolutely kind and friendly.

The Quick: Solid 3.5 ‘beginners French’ restaurant. Food was tasty, nothing was overly French(no escargot?) but still enjoyable. Attractive modern venue plus good house wine. Worth trying with a groupon. The Details: I usually expect French restaurants to be dimly lit bistro style with obnoxious French waiters and a menu with half the items I can’t pronounce. This was none of that… More of a «beginners French» restaurant. The venue was very attractive and modern, overall a very nice place just not what I would expect. The menu was small but had plenty of appetizing options. The steak tartare topped with a quail egg was very good, probably my favorite dish. The duck confit was cooked perfectly but the sides were less than exciting(lentils and a salad, both of which really needed some sort of sauce or spice). My date’s steak was very good, cooked medium rare as we requested, and the french fries were of course delicious(ask for mayo– don’t knock it until you try it). Overall a very good restaurant, made better by the groupon. The food was tasty but nothing was overly rememberable that would have us coming back for more. Although, if I lived down the block, I would probably stock up on Groupon’s and go often because it was a great price. The Damage: $ 29 for 2 entrees and 2 glasses of hours wine + $ 20 for the steak tartare = $ 70 all in with tip.

Had brunch here on a Sunday early afternoon and we were ever so lucky to miss the rush. Sat down immediately and had a nice experience. Good was great, prices are good for all that you get(I got the eggs benedict, comes with salad and yummy potatoes) and great customer service. Interested in crispy eggs? So was my boyfriend. This place has em and they are so yummy! What is it? Egg rolled in some pastry type batter and fried in very hot oil. I recommend it!

I was searching for a great place for Sunday brunch this past weekend and I came across this place. i am somewhat impressed by the atmosphere of the restaurant. The décor mirrors what you would find in a true french restaurant and the staff are extra friendly. All of the waiters I encountered had a french accent, making the experience all the better. Food: I purchased the Steak & Eggs(19.50). The steak was perfectly cooked with two eggs sunnyside up. The plate also included a side green salad and risolee potatoes. I also enjoyed an iced tea beverage. I really enjoyed this dish and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a filling and tasty breakfast. As a side note, I did not have a reservation but I got the impression from the wait staff that they encourage reservations because they get particularly busy at certain times of the day.

AMAZING. I just had brunch here this morning. Here’s what we had: Mushroom soup Croque madame Side of bacon Crabcake benedicte French toast Coffee & an iced cappuccino Pork belly sandwich {to go} For two people :) Everything was just delicious. The soup was luscious, slightly oily. But very good nonetheless. The croque madame was just delectable. I’d order that again. The side of bacon was GENEROUS, omg. I did not expect that much for $ 3.50. I LOVEYOU, GUYS. The crabcake benedict was heavenly; it had extra crab meat on top of the cake. The french toast, man oh man. Look at the photos I’ve posted. I’ve never seen a prettier french toast than that. It had lavish amounts of berries. Just enough syrup. Make sure you don’t order this as your main brunch entrée. For me, this is a dessert. The bread was great, and I feel like they torched it before adding the fruits. So damn good. Food here is adequately priced! No complains. One thing though, I wish their side salad had more of an interesting dressing. That was lackluster; and for me personally, it’s on the brink of being just ever so slightly under seasoned. But that’s just me. Also, it says here that they open at 7am –but we were there at 11am and they said they open in 30 minutes. Service was beyond excellent; our server was Zoe. She took care of us really well. We were so happy, we kept adding more $ 1 to her tip! The entire place was very enticing. Bright and clean. The bathrooms were extremely clean –maybe also because its part of the Nolitan Hotel. We will be back, for sure. I’ve been to many NYC brunches, this is the best by far. French food, French people –if that is worth anything :) *Oh and this is a review for a Sunday brunch and used a LivingSocial deal [$ 30 for $ 70 worth}… you might need a reservation, we didn’t. But just call and ask if you have one.*

This place is decent for fine dining standards. The bar was a little disappointing. The bartender was gone missing so a while so my friend and I awkwardly say there for a few mins; the staff didn’t let us know that the bartender stepped away so when we asked two of them to get us something to drink, it’s almost like we were stupid. When the bartender returned, he weren’t very friendly and wasn’t helpful. They didn’t have a lot of wine selections and he almost looked annoyed as we were deciding what we want. The waitress is friendly and prompt. She got our orders correctly without writing it down. The foods were good but the portions are a lot smaller so if you’re saving your stomach for dinner, I say don’t bother. You will want to get more food in an hour. The house wine is not good. I thought I drank rubbing alcohol. We got the red house wine. I think I’m a little traumatized about wine after this. It inspired my friends and I to go take a course about wine tasting.

If you’re frugal and planning to buy the pulsd deal, don’t. You will not really get a «deal,» and will end up actually paying a little more. I bought the brunch for 2 for $ 29, thinking it was a bargain – who doesn’t love unlimited bellinis, mimosas and Bloody Marys?! Let’s just say that being a drinker won’t be light on you, literally and figuratively. A friend and I came here on Sunday and sure enough, we were eager to order the good stuff off Marcel’s brunch list – which every item will likely cost you extra. I had the Lobster Ravioli and the only thing I enjoyed was the fresh lobster in the middle, which was the only lobster aspect of the dish. The raviolis weren’t as enjoyable as I expected; it tasted like a very bad seafood mix and it was more on the sweet side. My friend had the pork belly bagel and that tasted so much better; it came with eggs and fries, but it was not worth the extra few dollars. Basically, anything with meat – other than bacon – will be extra, which they should really put in the fine print. Drinks were good, especially the peach bellini. It came to about $ 30 per person and they charge in each drink on the bill, so with tax on those, it isn’t exactly a deal. The place is beautiful and spacious, and the staff is great but I probably won’t be coming back.

Horrible food. =\ Tastes like airplane food that was heated up… D; Appetizers: Cured meats plate: They were basically meats that were bought at ShopRite… I do like salami but not at a restaurant. =\ Foie gras: I expected it to be that warm, soft, pan seared foie gras. Nope, I got the cold, sliced foie gras. The flavor was so bad I didn’t finish it. There was big blob of fruit that was slightly salted and oiled and was disgusting as well. It was served with a ton of multigrain bread. Also probably from ShopRite. Entrees: Steak frites: I hate when they put a cold piece of butter on top of your steak. Isn’t that supposed to be cooked and melted on top? The steak was very mediocre. Tasted like it was from Applebee’s. At least they didn’t buy it from ShopRite. The fries were probably the best thing I ate this meal and that’s not saying much. Duck confit: My duck confift was as hard as a rock and as dry as the desert. I could hardly cut it so I sent it back and got the branzino instead. Branzino: This dish came with steamed rice, steamed asparagus, and some tomatoes. No flavor but least those were edible. The skin side of the branzino was black and burnt and tasted bitter. I was able to eat the other side, though. I just doused it with lemon juice. Save your money. Don’t come here. I am sad I wasted my money. :(:(:(

I had a gift card from a Unilocal Elite event(yeah, perks!) for $ 10. When we were in the area, we decided to stop by to check it out. It seems that this place gets really pricey when you plan to drink. We ordered to brunch dishes to share. Pancakes($ 6) and their lobster ravioli brunch dish($ 18, I think). Both were phenomenal. The pancakes are actually really sizeable and a bargain at $ 6. It’s topped with berries and this creamy sweet maple apple sauce that is decadent and savory. The lobster dish was a little pricey for the 7 pieces of ravioli(huge mind you, but still not a lot) that it included. There are lobster bits along with other who-knows-what inside the ravioli. It’s topped with two large lobster pieces and the amazing wine lobster sauce(that I used for the pancakes, shhh!). Overall, great food. Not very pricey at all. Ingredients are fresh. The flavors are rather intense but not very complex. It’s definitely more savory than it is intriguing. Do note that service is rather slow. The tables were not full at all and we waited atleast 15 – 20 minutes to get our orders in. The seating is good for groups and parties of two — a lot of natural light and great simplistic décor.

Venturing into China town for a local event I decided to check out y3lp for some local eats near my subway stop. Popped in the word duck and up came Cantine Parisienne.(i love the y3lp app!) I couldn’t have picked a better place. The duck was so crispy and tender. Loved everything on the plate and went very well with the citrus notes from the bottle of White wine we were recommended. Check out my pictures for some yummy meal ideas. This is now on my radar anytime I’m back in the area, which will hopefully be very soon. MMMMMM tasty french food always makes my mouth water. Tip: The soups are always highly recommended
