The show itself was HILARIOUS! I went a few months ago to see DL Hughley and I look forward to going to see him again in April. HIs opening act, who’s name I can’t remember was really funny too. Unlike other comedy clubs their drinks were actually good. I had buffalo wings and fries during the show and they were pretty tasty. I don’t like how they do the seating, I came early for the show and was there before most of the crowd but I was sat on the far edge of the stage which mad it difficult to see. I would of thought showing up early would get me a better seat. Luckily I was able to move to a better seat in the center of the stage. All and all a good time.

a tad pricey($ 58 per ticket which does not include the price of the 2 drink minimum or the food). But it *is* NYC(where things are SO grossly overpriced) and we did get to see Charlie Murphy and D.L. Hughley(who was a surprise guest) for about $ 70(i stuck with soft drinks, no food). The place is ‘cozy’(my friend and I were seated at a table with 3 gentlemen we didn’t know). Overall, it was a fun night, the comics were funny and I will probably come back again. But I will definitely, in future, check out the prices of the show BEFORE I go so I’m not sticker shocked.

I can see why people would complain about it being cramped because, HOLYSHITBATMAN, it was cramped. But I didn’t see the issue with the prices? You have to remember that you’re in the middle of Times Square, the gouging capital of the Western world, high prices are to be expected. There’s a 2 drink minimum during the comedy show. Stick to the cheaper drinks on their menu. Sodas are about 4.00 — and the cup is small. Might as well transform into a temporary hipster and bleed 13.00 for two bottles of angry orchard. If you read the bottom of the menu, you’re allowed to change the percentage automatically added to your bill for gratuity. My friend and I came out to be 27.25 with the included 15% gratuity of a whooping 3 $. Mandatory coat check of 2 $. Not really a huge deal — wish they just included the 2 $ in the price of the ticket especially if the show is in the winter. In sum: come for the comedy, prepare to bleed over drink prices, don’t order the food — WHOEATSDURING A LIVESTANDUPCOMEDYSHOW!!!

My guy is a huge fan of Michael Blackson so I purchased tickets and made dinner reservations. We arrived early and after reading the food reviews on Unilocal,we couldn’t decide if we wanted to eat dinner at the venue. We left and tried to eat dinner somewhere else but the wait was too long so we wnt back to Carolines. First off, the guy in the grey shirt giving out the tickets was extremely rude! We ate a really awkward table in the dark and had a crowd of people standing around us while we ate. Ummmm, the food was overpriced and awful. It tasted like it was made by a home cook that had just started taking cooking lessons. I posted pics of the food and please believe me when I say don’t waste you time or money eating before the show. We paid $ 100.00 for 2 entrees, 1 appetizer and 3 ginger ales. It was not worth the time or effort. Also, there is a two drink minimum per person at the show. I ordered the Italian coffee snd a ginger ale. My guy ordered one drink and s beer. That bill came up to $ 53.00. In total, we paid $ 153.00. The worst part is that our server never came back with the change once we paid our check for the food. It was just a few dollars but it was very unprofessional and bad service. Overall, the show was good. Michael Blackson was really funny and he was worth the price of the tickets.

So upset with the hospitality. I was served a broken glass and cut my hand very badly. I was offered 2 drinks off my bill so I only had to pay $ 110. So disappointed in this business. Neighbor to them and will never support again

I came here to experience, what could be defined as a, memorable comedy experience. It was an amazing time and I would definitely come back here. Food and drink service was great too despite the packed audience.

I came here for my birthday and saw Charlie Murphy. You know, Eddie’s little brother from The Dave Chappelle Show. I was a bit apprehensive because while I have seen him in a few movies and Chappelle show; I wondered how funny he would be as a stand up comedian. When we got there the staff directed us where to sit and I was nervous about sitting so close to the stage because often times you become part of the comedians act, but that was all the naught as we were not singled out. The venue itself is ok; nothing spectacular about it and I expected it to much larger for the prices they charge. While I had a good time with all the comedians… I believe they are a bit over priced. Between the tickets and the two drink minimum per person and gratuity you can easily reach the $ 200 plateau. I looked yesterday for tickets for a show for Valentines weekend and they were $ 74 plus taxes and fees to see Marlon Wayans. I’m sorry, but I have been to many comedy clubs in the city that were just as entertaining but at a fraction of the cost. I would say if you’re a fan of comedy this is definitely a must visit because they have many A+ comedians… But make sure to bring your large piggy bank with you.

Saw a show here with a group on a Thursday night. Worked with the event manager for the event, Michael, who was fabulous! Everything was ready to go when we arrived, the drinks and food came out immediately, I made an on the spot adjustment to our order and Michael had no problem accommodating us. All passed appetizers were outstanding(smoked mozzarella, oven fried tomato bruschetta; mini hamburger sliders; mini grilled cheese with glazed maple bacon; sesame mini carnitas cones with cilantro sauce; mini lobster rolls; smoked chicken and corn in a crispy tortilla and beef tenderloin with onions on an herb toast with horseradish dressing) yum! We wanted to order more food tableside but the oven was broken, so many of their menu items were not available… kind of strange! Most people just got the enormous tower of onion rings and french fries that were great. Because we were with a group and had a private area sectioned off before hand with drinks and apps; we were seated first and did not have to wait in line. This was very nice! Our seats were in the front in the upper sections which was fabulous. The two opening acts were hilarious, my mouth hurt from laughing so much! The group unanimously agreed that we would have loved for the first two acts to have longer sets. Gilbert Gottfried was the main act and was honestly just ok, again the group as a whole just didn’t really enjoy his set. The service was great, the waiters were constantly coming out with food for everyone, and the bartenders were great and fast. Overall it was a wonderful time with great food. Can’t wait to do it again!

Such a fun place! If you come in early, you get seated for dinner. You can order drinks with dinner, but there is also a 2 drink minimum once you get inside the showroom. The bathrooms were a little confusing. although it is clearly marked, the door was closed and since the door blends in with the wall, it may seem like there is no entrance into the bathroom, unless you push the door, which looks like a wall… and who wants to push a wall. Anyways. Fun place, good service, and clean for the most part.

This place was alot smaller than I had anticipated but I didn’t mind. Just about every seat was a good seat. The stage was pretty small so if you were off to the side, it was a little hard to see. We ordered drinks and appetizers and they came out fast. Everything was as expected. typical comedy club food, but it was good! We accidentally spilled a drink because the table was wobbly. The waiter brought us paper towels and offered to help switch the tables out for us, which was a nice gesture. The show was a lot of fun and i’d be back here for another if I see someone I’d like to buy tickets for! Fun Night!

Came here today for the Betches of Comedy comedy show. Nice venue. Each seat has a good view of the stage and the comedian. There is a 2 drink minimum but this includes water, tea, coffee, etc not just alcohol. Service was great. Seating is first come first serve so if you want a front row seat, get there early. Drink minimum does not include drinks bought at the bar outside.

The 2 times that I’ve been here I had amazing times. $ 60 for a ticket. 2 drink minimum. Wasn’t all that bad when you compare that the the experience and the fun time you will have. I went to see Shawn and Marlon Wayans the first time and last night got a chance to see Damon Wayans. VERY funny guys. The hosts are always funny as well. The place is small but the size makes it more intimate. I would definitely recommend this place for comedy fans and for anyone looking for a fun date night.

Times Square offers much in the entertainment industry. Movies, live and musical theaters, street performers, restaurants, and shops converge in this area. In the heart of this, Carolines comedy club presents the brightest comedians to a cosmopolitan audience. When we came here to see Ron Nobles host the featured acts, I LOVED it! The comedians held my attention with their comedic timing. Non-stop laughter came from the audience when headliner Eric Neumann came on stage. The comedians engaged the audience in their jokes. Fun! The found the servers courteous and prompt. Our server explained to us about the two drink minimum. We purchased the special drinks that came in the tall drinking glasses. At the end of the show we got the clean Carolines glasses. We didn’t order any food. Overall, I like the light, and energetic atmosphere at Carolines. But, the place feels a bit cramped for my liking. I like how both famous and up and coming comedians share the stage. Tourist or native New Yorker you will laugh non stop here.

I went to Caroline’s last night to see Chris D’elia perform. He was so funny! We really enjoyed the show. We arrived about an hour before the show. They did not start letting people into the room right away. They have a bar and tables where you wait. This area was so crowded. There wasn’t much space to move around. We got called inside and we were seated with some other people, which was fine. We had good seats. We ordered some drinks. The reason why I’m giving it three stars is because they ran out of some food we wanted to order. We wanted spinach artichoke dip and they were out of that. We got nachos instead. Then we wanted ice cream, but they were out of it. It was just disappointing for a place like Caroline’s, that usually has big headliners.

Just saw Kevin Smith tonight. It was amazing. He was fucking great and i met him and omg my life is changed. The place is ok. I mean the drinks are ok and all its a small place you have good seats no matter where. Its pricey, i mean its NYC and its hot as hell inside. The bathroom attendant was super nice and the place is very clean. They really pack ya in though. Not a lot of breathing room at all. But i had a phenomenal night and it will go down as one of my best. So that was great.

7:30 p.m. show with Comedian DeeRay Davis headlining. The drinks are ridiculously priced $ 6.50 for a Corona with lime, but then again this is midtown Manhattan off 42nd Street, the famous theater District, #1 tourist spot in the universe… prices are high on everything. The crowd was scattered across a dimly lit theater and dinner area, laughter, and great hospitality was everywhere. The servers were friendly and courteous. The atmosphere is cozy and casual. I did not give it five stars because I did not order an entrée, so I can not give you a critic on food, but if you are looking for laughter with the best and the brightest up and coming comedians in the business in the greatest city in the world then look no further. Two drink minimum per person.

I love comedy clubs and I been coming here since my early 20s. They usually have great acts and make sure you buy tixs in advance. Like any other NY comedy club there is a two drink minimum. Drinks aren’t cheap but lets face it you are in Times Square nothing is ever cheap around here. I have had their food, wings, chicken sandwich and turkey burger. The food is decent but you don’t come here for the food. If you are looking for a fun night then this is your place.

I came here to see the 7:30 pm show of the Wayans Brothers(Shawn and Marlon) on Sunday, January 18th. Marlon was hilarious Shawn was just okay. The host, Wil Sylvince was a riot! I would pay to see his standy up. As far as my experience with Carolines… I’m glad to have experienced the whole dinner and a show aspect. But for future reference I would only go back just for the show. I paid $ 60 + tax per person for the tickets online for the show alone. Dinner you pay for seperatley. I had a non-alcholic Pina Colada(which did not come with a cherry, meanwhile the lady next to me had 2 cherries), my husband had a mojito. For our meals we ordered the onions rings, buffalo wings, cheese burger and fries. Our bill totaled $ 66. The food was all good no complaints except I wish the onions rings were smaller in width. The couple sitting next to us were there before us and received their food after us. My 2 complaints are: 1) The staff tells you to take your time and not rush through you meal since you are having dinner before the show your seat is gauranteed. They even give you a ticket with you name and a number on it. Which makes you feel like«table 18» is reserved for your party. Once you finally get in you are seated by first come first serve. The tables are not numbered or «reserved» just for you. So in actuallity I should have hurried up to get a better seat. 2) Even though I just dined in the room next door my husband and I were still required the 2 drink minimum per person. Our ticket clearly stated we paid for the dinner and the show but we still had to buy a total of 4 more drinks. If I would have known that we would not have ordered drinks with our meal. We would have just had water and then ordered our mandatory beverages in the room where the show was taking place. All in all this was a very unexpected expensive date night($ 120+ for the show alone, $ 66 for dinner, $ 25 for 2 drink minimum). I feel that if you dined inthe other room before your show you should not be required the 2 drink minimum. It should at least be included in your ticket price! Side notes: Dining and theater area is a tight fit. When the show is over the line for the ladies bathroom is forever long. Some women were going into the men’s room. There is a bathroom attendant in both the ladies and the men’s room. There are two sinks but the attendant’s only let you use one. They pump the hand soap for you and stand so close to you while you are washing your hands practically shoving the paper towels in your side. So not only is there a line outside waiting to get into the restroom but there is a line inside waiting to wash your hands. Just let us use both sinks! There were no extra toiletries in there for me to utilize. I’m not tipping you for pumping soap into my hands and giving me a paper towel. I ordered 2 more non alcoholic pina coladas as my 2 drink minimum and 1 came with a cherry and the last one tasted completely watered down.

I think this was my second time at Caroline’s, both going to see Norm MacDonald do his thing. The tickets were pricey but the space is kempt. It did get a little crowded downstairs at the bar, and my friend tipped me off that any drinks bought at the bar would not count toward our minimum, so I saved my thirst for the show. The room was pretty, and not too bad with space, even though seats were a little tight(my chair’s back was humping the chair of person behind me throughout). Drinks were decent and not terribly overpriced, though cocktails were on the high side. I didn’t try the food but my friends seemed satisfied. Service seemed good though we were smart enough to order both required drinks at the start of the show. Speaking of the show, it was very good, including the MC and openers, who can be hit or miss. The guys’ line to the bathroom after the show was endless, a rare sight indeed. I guess 3.5 stars are about right, overall.
