Always excellent food — will make a special effort to seat you, even though you may have forgotten to make a reservation and they are crowded. During summer, they offer lovely dining on 73rd. Romantic!

This place infuriates me. Straight up committed fraud by charging me more than what I put down on the receipt and offers ridiculous solutions which just feels half assed and belittes me. I came here on Jan 5th with 2 friends for a couple beers. It was happy hour. They had a 2 for one deal going on. My friend and I ordered an 8 dollar beer and tipped 2 dollars per beer for 10 $ each. That’s reasonable. My other friend ordered a 14 $ Rose sparkling wine and also got a 6 $ order of fries. He paid 23 $. We obviously paid a reasonable amount for tip and whatever minor tax we had is also in there. Since it was on my CC tab. I paid the total with my 2 friends venmoing me the amounts they owed. I recall writing 43 $ in the final dollar amount, crossed out the tip section and signed it. Fast forward to the present when Im checking my bill I notice that its 50 $. Which doesnt make sense to me as its the wrong amount. Some people might not care since its a measly 7 $ which I agree it is. However its about the principle of it all and if you’re planning on disrespecting me and hoping I don’t notice you’ve got another thing coming. I call the bar and a lady picks up. I let her know I was overcharged and want a refund. She tells me to come in and speak with a manager. I’m thinking why the F would I waste my time and come in when you’re the ones who caused this problem in the first place. I let her know to check the receipts for Jan 5th and she said she would do it at some later time. She offers me a free beer the next time I come in to the restaurant. Again I’m thinking is this chick serious? Why the F would I go back. I promptly let her know I want a refund to my credit card and she says she doesn’t think that can happen but offered me a cash refund if I came in. At this point I’m just like whatever im filing a dispute to my credit card company. Honestly feel like taking these scrubs to small claims court just for the hell of it. Don’t come to this place unless you want to be disrespected afterwards.

Brunching is one of my favorite things to do and my boyfriend and I came here today on a whim because we hadn’t been before. I was really hoping it would be awesome as it’s in our neighborhood and looked cool. The service is terrible, the music is awful and they got my mediocre food order wrong. The waiter did comp two drinks so there is a plus. I’ll try t for dinner sometime– hopefully I’ll have a better experience!

The brunch set is pretty good! $ 25 for a mimosa, a Croque Madame, and a coffee to end. The portion of the food and service are really nice for the price!

Got here with my girlfriend at around 4:20, right before their happy hour. Took us 15 minutes just to order drinks and waited another 15 for them to actually arrive and they’re dissapointing at best, mostly just a ton of alcohol with some simple syrup. Definitely not worth the 14 dollars a drink. Wouldn’t suggest this place.

I love the grass fed burger its cooked perfectly and juicy. No room for dessert though After the meal but desserts look promising save some space for it.

Best French food at an amazing price! The escargot is always piping hot in a garlic and parsley sauce. The Steak tartare is made in front of you allowing you to choose your spice level. The bartender Rafael is amazing, both in his mixology skills and for keeping you entertained! The Casimir cocktail is still my favorite drinks, definitely try it during their daily happy hour from 430 – 7!

Decent spot. Pretty overpriced for what you get, but not more expense than other places in the area. Hamburger is quite good. They do a nice artichoke appetizer. Friendly severs but they always seem understaffed and quite frazzled. Lovely to sit outside on a nice day, but doesn’t make up for the wholly mediocre food.

On my hunt for crudités, I went to this place for lunch. It was nice to have a table outdoor. Panier de Crudités et son anchoiade: seasonal vegetables basket big enough for 2(baby tomatoes, broccoli, carrot, cauliflower, celery, cucumber, endive, fennel, green beans, radish) served with a warm anchovy dipping oil. The vegetables are served on a large basket. The anchovy dip is amazing, the best I ever had. Saumon Grille du Pacifique, Sauce Vierge, Ratatouille Nicoise: I wanted to try this since I rarely find Pacific salmon on menus. I asked for medium but it was overcooked. It was too dry, I couldn’t finish it. The ratatouille was fine. Profiteroles: three piece of choux served with caramel ice cream and a chocolate sauce on the side. The choux are crispy. The crudités would be plenty enough for a meal if not shared. The salmon was too much as it was too cooked, and then I had dessert. They automatically charge for gratuity on the bill.

There seems to be something about neighborhood French restaurants — it’s always the same menu and they’re immediately forgettable. After dinner here last night I turned to my husband and asked him, «so what was the name of the restaurant?» Neither of us could remember. Not a good sign. We ordered the salmon which was so undercooked it could have been sushi(had to send it back). And the tarte tartin was not great, with a soggy crust. Keep walking if you want a nice meal somewhere else. I’m sure there’s other neighborhood french restaurants that are more memorable than this place.

I had the onion soup & burger. Sat out side. It would have been 5 star review if not for the price. With a few beers, 2 of us came to $ 140 including tax & tip. A little pricy. But the food, atmosphere & service was great.

In life, it is important to celebrate every victory, large or small. Because of this, my sister and I threw my dad a special brunch bash at Casimir & Co last weekend. For some reason, just about every other place we tried to get a reservation at on the UES and UWS was booked solid, but I’m glad this led us to check out a new place. Apparently, my dad had wanted to check this little bistro out for a little while, and I had always intended(but never made it) to try the original location in the East Village. There was something for everyone on the menu – those who craved the charcuterie platters they frequently dined on when they lived in France for almost a decade(my dad), those who really wanted some undercooked meat(me with my salmon carpaccio and Mike with his steak tartar), and the gluten-free contingent(my mom and sister). Everything was superb, as was the crusty bread we were given at the beginning of the meal. The restaurant itself did not look like your standard, posh East 70’s haunt a la Swifty’s or the like. It had the vibe like it would be better suited for a younger neighborhood, but this is by no means a complaint. I would love to come back in the evening for dinner. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Even the other patrons told us they had admired the bouquet of balloon flowers that sat on our table(Mike and I have friends who are«balloonatics») and heartily wished my dad a «happy birthday!» Was it my dad’s birthday? No, but it was a joyful occasion nonetheless and the restaurant provided a festive atmosphere.

Came here for dinner last weekend. Atmosphere: Really cute, but tiny bar downstairs, no real waiting area, so that sucks in the winter. Lots of small 2 and 4 top tables. Upstairs is a bit bigger with more tables. Very cute inside. Service: Great service, the waiter was very knowledgable. Wine list: robust and fairly reasonable. Food: Had the Salad Nicoise –awesome, delicious Yellowfin Tuna. We also had some shrimp dish, that was very tasty. For dessert we had a flour-less chlorate cake –YUMMMMMMY Over all awesome meal. Would recommend for a date, or a small group of friends. Make sure you make a reservation –it was packed!

Having walked by Casimir & Co at least 100 times in the last year, we finally decided to have dinner and save ourselves a farther walk in the cold. Very cozy atmosphere(we sat upstairs rather than the bar area downstairs), reasonable wine list and delicious food. Our waitress was a bit slow checking in, but friendly beyond that. We got the crudite plate with a salty anchovie dipping sauce that was a nice change up from generic salad offerings. The star of the night were the steak frites – perfectly cooked strip steak with a delicious gravy on the side, with well-seasoned fries to go along with it. Perfect for a cold night paired with a glass of Cote du Rhone! Will certainly go back.

Really liked the menu at this corner French spot, and my croque madame was fabulous, but the service was a little inattentive. Water glasses remained empty for prolonged periods.

The food was outstanding, but the service was unbearably slow. Our waitress was super nice, but she was only tending to 3 – 4 tables at a time and was having difficulty keeping up. I think a lot of the delay was caused by the lack of additional staff; she informed us that just 1 guy was doing bussing, delivery, and I think cooking too(I can’t remember). Hopefully this was just a fluke because it would be a 5-star if there were more help to speed things up. Our steak tartare and charcuterie plate didn’t involve much/any cooking, but took ~30 minutes or so to arrive. It was, however, delicious once it came! The fries were super crispy and hot, but came minutes before the check due to high demand and only 1 fryer. The décor is beautiful and there is plenty of outdoor seating. We dined around 2pm on the second floor; there were only a few other tables so it was easy to chat without much chatter around us.

Great ambiance, great food, great service. The total package! From the delectable French bread and sparkling water, to the main courses… This place is divine. Definitely check out the specials! I got the Lobster Salad special with edamame, grapefruit, avocado, and arugula. Hubster got the mussels and French fries off the menu. Both entrees were amazing — so many layers of flavor. They were well executed, and perfectly portioned. The service was friendly, efficient and attentive while at the same time leaving us alone– it’s a tricky balance but they nailed it. It certainly reminded me of dining in Europe where you are able to sit and enjoy your meal for hours and the waiter is there if you make contact but they’re not pushy or trying to get you to leave to fill the table with another party. Try this spot if you have the chance — and sit on their lovely sidewalk patio if it’s a nice day!

I have had a great steak tartare there made fresh under my eyes by the waiter. GF had a nice Tuna on a salad. It s a nice option in the area where we never find any good spot to eat. We were able to sit outside on the terrasse. Staff was nice too
