Came here for dinner 8:30 – they wanted me to take food to go since they close at 9. I said I would eat at table. All of the empty tables were filthy. I asked the woman at the counter for a napkin to clear a table – thinking she would take a hint, but she just handed me a napkin. The food came quickly but packed up to-go anyway. We unpacked it and started to eat. We had our own reusable water bottles ran-out through the meal. My companion was thirsty and went to the counter to ask for some water and the woman at the register told her they did not have any water! Unbelievable. The food tasted good but it was expensive and given the service, the environmental costs and health risks of serving hot food in unnecessary plastic containers I would not go here again. We left before 9 and I will not be returning.

Just because this place is in Chelsea Market doesn’t mean it’s good. This is the blandest Thai food I have ever eaten, by far. I mean not spicy, not salty, not flavorful — my entire meal tasted like water. Avoid.

Food wasn’t that great, my sister overheard someone complaining that they wanted 50¢ just for a cup. It maybe the NYC norm(which I’m not sure about), but to me that seems wrong.

Came in here since I was hungry and Thai food is usually good for vegetarian options. Well, it looked like a partial market with food service near the back. I ordered the Suki Yaki hang vegetarian. The dish came Togo pretty much with plastic utensils. This is not a table service place(might be a good thing since you don’t have to tip) The dish itself was okay since I’ve had better. I told them extra spicy but it came out a tad spicier than mild. The condiments was not the best either as there is no spicy tray that I could find. Might have helped if I had asked but I asked for hot sauce, and they gave me a hot sauce packet. All in all, a little disappointing. My New York friend did tell me that Thai food in NY is not as great as the west coast. I have to agree based on the places myself and my friend ate at. If anyone else disagrees with this statement, please let me know of a good Thai place for next time I visit. I will add one last thing. This place does offer a lot of meat options for meat lovers and have a tons of stuff that looked great. I am not sure if it will be but I suggest give this place a whirl if you are hungry for Thai food and in Chelsea market.

The food was great, but not worth the stare down and terrible attitude you get from the girl that takes your order. Beware.

Chelsea Thai never stops impressing me by the speed they turn out amazingly delicious for a take out place Thai dishes. Unlike most fast food restaurants Chelsea Thai meals are prepared from scratch right before your eyes. Ask for your discount card and then every 11th meal is on the house.

I saw on Unilocal it was $ 8 for Pad See Ew… I get there an it’s $ 11+ tax. This place is good if you want something fast. But I may have spoiled by places near my old job. They have it for cheaper and it tastes better. This seemed a little too oily and overpriced for the quality(but hey, it’s Chelsea Market).

This is the only Thai cuisine in Chelsea Market. The pricing is fair and the portions are good too. They sell Thai products for your own cooking needs, which I thought was cool. The menu is a series of photos on the wall near the register, which doesn’t look aesthetically pleasing, but does give you an accurate idea of what your meal will look like. Another thing that I wanted to comment on is that they have seating here! So if you came to Chelsea Market hoping to have a sit down meal there is a chance you will find it here. The food was good and I enjoyed watching the chefs cook it up through the looking glass they have facing the kitchen. It wasn’t the best Thai food I had ever had, but it was pretty good for what it’s worth.

I’ve never ate a chicken pad thai dish that I didn’t like except for the dish prepared here. The chicken and noodles were flavorless and extremely bland. I tried adding hot sauce(I don’t even like hot sauce) and other sauces to add ANYKIND of flavor and still not help. I only ate half of the meal and threw the rest away. If you’re planning on eating here stay away from the chicken pad thai.

they give everyone a takeout bag. very fast and convenient. pumpkin stir fry — do not order it unless you wish to eat only pumpkin. firstly, the whole dish does not look cute, which gives me a bad first impression. secondly, the chicken is randomly put on top with eggs as a bulk. you need to add salt if you like strong flavor. my friend ordered a fried rice, which looks much better but tastes a little greasy.

I have to say its a authentic Thai restaurant in NYC, I’ve tried curry Chicken rice、pad thai、and beef fried noodles、thai milk tea, I do like their taste. 1.Curry chicken rice, I think if you could come to Chinatown and buy some Thai curry can, u also could do the same taste curry chicken rice with this restaurant, maybe more better and more flavorful, the price definitely cheaper so much. 2.Pad Thai and milk tea, I do like their taste. 3.I think beef fried noodles too similar with HK beef fried noodles, as a person who eat HK foods grow up, I don’t prefer some Thai foods’s taste too same with HK foods, if so, I definitely could choose find a HK style restaurant, therefore, in that case, I won’t try their beef fried noodles again.

Expensive, undercooked, and obviously frozen-for-a-month food. The only good thing about my pumpkin curry dish was the rice, which is what the one star is for.

Despite going for years there is zero customer service & love applied to the touristy food. Ok for a grab and dash but many other better places to choose from.

Perfect for a $ 10 lunch. Pad see ew, pad kee Mao, and pad Thai are winners. Plus it’s pretty awesome to watch the 5 woks going on simultaneously thru the window. Worth it for me since I work upstairs but others might not find it worth the trip if it’s out of the way.

You could easily miss this place, but they have affordable tasty food and drinks. The ambiance is not the best, but for the prices who cares. I always go to Chelsea Market and am really thirsty but don’t want to pay $ 11 for a smoothie, so I look around for iced drinks. I found this Thai restaurant and got their tai iced tea for only $ 3.50! It was delicious. Also try the pad thai.

3 stars for an A-OK experience. The service was fast, but not overly customer-oriented or friendly. The food was good, hit the spot, but nothing overly impressive, flavorful or fancy. I am almost tempted to give an extra star for value, because with my chicken pad-thai coming in at less than $ 10, that’s a steal compared to anything else in the Chelsea market area, however that evens out with a pretty paltry atmosphere — just a few tables in the corner of the shop. This is definitely a great option if you want quick food or are looking for an inexpensive meal, but certainly not a destination in and of itself.

First time i ordered the pad thai which was okay… The 2nd time, i ordered Pad See Ew and it was one of the best pad see ew’s I’ve ever had. It’s saucy and the portion is just right. The place might not look as pleasing but the food is definitely worth it. I ordered from the lunch menu and it came out to only $ 9. It’s a Thai restaurant mixed with a Thai market.

Worst thai food I’ve had, ever! Got the pad thai, was okay but way too salty. Also got the gwei tiao, had no taste at all. The place smells funny and the food was either tasteless or too salty. the meat in the noodle dishes were overlooked. Would not recommend this place at all! Stay away!

I should’ve read the review before coming here. But it was the closest Thai restaurant from where I was and it was snowing outside. So just came here without reading the review. I ordered Tom Yum noodle soup($ 13). Soup is not bad but the chicken smelled and couldn’t eat any of it. Definitely not fresh. It was too little noodle and it didn’t satisfy my little Asian stomach.(Oh but maybe skinny one eats more) …But seriously, it’s too little for $ 13 dish. And the worst part is that I found a short hair(my hair is long so it’s not mine) after I almost finished everything. YUCKKK. I immediately went to see Unilocal’s review and someone else also had a hair(long hair) in her pad thai. This place doesn’t look too dirty(it doesn’t look very clean either) but obviously they have hygiene issues. Not cool.
