This is a large location with lots of seating and great place to meet someone for lunch or before/after a workout class at any of the facilities on that block like SoulCycle and Purre Bare. I took a friend here before we hit a cycling class which was perfect since we had little time and Chop’t makes a fast and tasty salad. The salads are made fresh and the menu options can be customized. And they are really good sized — I sometimes eat half for lunch and the rest with or as dinner. My favorite is the Cobb Salad because it’s one of the best bang for your buck with all the protein — grilled chicken, hard boiled egg, and bacon. The bacon is sometimes overcooked, but not too salty. Also the avocado is usually abt 1⁄3 of an avocado and you get a ton of blue cheese. Note that you can switch out the blue cheese for another cheese like feta or pepper jack which is so good if you don’t mind a little spice kick in your cheese. With all that going on, I typically don’t need any dressing(that being said, I’m the type to just add oil and vinegar or hot sauce as my dressing, so u might still want a little dressing jazz). Bonus– their Olive Oil is EVOO(extra virgin)!!! Which can be hard to find sometimes. And don’t forget that u can ask them to Chop your salad ingredients and lettuce more or less to your liking. Final bonus– you get a good size piece of flatbread with any salad. And if u let this sit in the fridge overnight it will harden and is great for dipping into guac or hummus the next day. If u order delivery and ask for a specific cookie or snack, u may not always get what you ask for. My husband had his snack part of the orders mixed up a few times.

«So, I can buy the salad for $ 12, or get 8 hamburgers for a nickel. Sorry, salaaaad.» — Jim Gaffigan Yeah, it’s depressing sometimes to pay for a $ 12 salad, but that’s the premium on eating healthy-ish these days. Chop’T has nothing on sweetgreen, but given that the closest sweetgreen is in SoHo, sometimes you just have to go with the convenience. That being said, if you order the right things, Chop’t can actually be a satisfying meal. The good thing is that you have more options to customize your salad here, where you don’t really have as many at other places. I’m partial towards the Braised Chicken Tinga and the Chop’t Po’ Boy. You have to wonder if it’s really any healthier than going to other places and eating less, but according to the calorie counts, the Chop’t Po’ boy(which comes with fried panko-crusted chicken), only comes up to about 650 calories with all the fixings. Definitely a lower calorie option compared to a lot of the other stands in Hudson Eats, where meals easily run up to 1000+ calories. The service is actually pretty quick, given all the attention that Chop’t gets. They manage to go through the long lines of New Yorkers and tourists trying to be health-conscious with terrifying efficiency, and with great patience too. As I mentioned before, the prices aren’t the greatest, but again, it’s pretty much the only made-to-order salad option where you have multiple options. Le District and Olives tend to have pre-made salads for the same price, and while Pick-A-Bagel across the street has lots of options, you kinda have to wonder about the freshness. Not really my place for frequenting, but it’s not a bad choice if you want to eat healthier. I usually reserve Chop’t for work days after I’ve come back from vacation and I’ve been eating like a fatty for days. If you’re going with a custom salad, I’d suggest familiarizing yourself with the different toppings and dressings, so that you don’t get overwhelmed when it finally comes time to order.

I’ve noticed delivery time is much improved, but they are still constantly out of ingredients. If Mexican Goddess is your most popular dressing then make more of it! I’m sure the staff would appreciate not having to call every third customer to tell them they’re out of an ingredient.

Chop’t has really good salads and dressings. The location in Hudson eats can be intimidating due to the lines and the speed as to which you need to place your order. Luckily the super long lines do move quickly. Ingredients are fresh and tasty. My only real gripe is that if you order one of their salads you spend about $ 10; If you make your own salad with comparable ingredients you pay $ 15. What I’ve learned is to order one of their salads and switch out an ingredient or 2, so you don’t get stuck with a $ 15 bill. If you’re a first timer to Chop’t it helps to review the menu online before you go or grab a menu to review while you are waiting on line.

Ordered by seamless 3 days ago. delivery still hasnt arrived. even today. Laughable and pathetic service. Called the restaurant thrice for a refund and they haven’t even refunded me for the salad I ordered that never came. Worst experience ever !!! Shoddy management and sheer waste of time. And to think I ordered from seamless to save time !!!

I used to be a big fan of the New England Harvest with bacon Russian dressing. But I saw the person who puts together the salads in the front sweep and mop the floor, put the mop away and then handle the lettuce all with the same gloves on her hands. That is just nasty. I ran. They should not be touching the lettuce with their gloved hands. Some tongs would be more sanitary. I know they don’t care because they are not eating it, but to handle mops and brooms and then touch the lettuce that I’m supposed to pay for and eat? No thank you. What ever happened to do onto others?

The delivery here is offensively terrible. To the point where I keep telling myself I will never pay $ 12 for another salad only to wait an hour an a half, to have the salad not show up, among many other problems. the food quality and the lack of other options in the area make me keep hoping they will change. Maybe a manager will read this and implement some much needed changes in their delivery protocol.

I ordered a salad for a late lunch, via Seamless. My order was placed around 3:15 with an estimated deliver time of 3:40 — 3:50… Ok, i can deal with that. What time did my salad actually get to me… 4:26. If this wasn’t frustrating enough, the delivery man said«Yo, they forgot about you man. I had already clocked out and they called me and I had to clock back in to deliver this because it was just sitting there.» So I went from hungry and aggravated to «never ordering from there again».

This place used to be good but recently the management decided(apparently) to reduce the salad side by 40% while keeping the price same. I work at the Brookfield place and almost everyone at work place has noticed the drastic reduction in quantity and we are planning a mass boycott. Shame!

This is probably the worst chop’t location. They do not use AC, so the store is brutally hot. Moreover, the drink selection is limited and there is no fountain drinks. Basically dont eat here unless you have to, there are a few other locations in the area, if you really need to ear chop’t.

I can’t figure out how this place does it’s pricing. i get the same salad: romaine, squash, grilled chicken, black beans — today i was charged $ 13.57! Last week $ 11.47, one time I was even charged $ 9 n change… but today’s price left me dumbfounded, this place is just too expensive. Some salad places give one a sheet where each item is checked with the cost of each item next to it. I won’t be back, it’s just too much money for a simple salad and inconsistent pricing.

Can someone tell me how a salad place runs out of Romaine lettuce? Oh and hard boiled eggs… And who knows what else… I left after that.

Love chopt. They have delicious salads and so many options. Even if they line is huge(which it will be at lunch time) it moves fast. Make sure you know what you want before you get in line though because the pace moves fast. It’s a tad bit expensive but so is everything in this area.

I’ve been to many Chop’t locations across the city and so this review is really for all of them as a whole. Although there is a special shout out to the really bad ones(Pearl Street). You have to really pay attention and have eagle eyes when your salad is being prepared. It’s a pretty persistent problem that there are ingredients missing from my salad where I have to point out the missing elements during the salad making process. Isn’t there training where you need to learn all the elements of the named salads?! What’s mostly missing: avocado — which is for me, the biggest deal. Also, the line situation is comical. There should have been some logistics majors or UX people who thought about this. Always just ends up being a cluster f — . Get it together!!! Redeeming factor: tasty salads.

I got a bacon avocado salad with spinach corn and a bunch of other toppings and it was DELICIOUS. so so so good I cannot recommend this enough, the only con is that it’s a tiny bit on the pricy side but definitely worth it! you get a whole container of true organic salad you chose yourself for about $ 12 – 13

I love the salads here BUT the lines are long and ¼ of the ingredients are dropped on the floor by either the picker or the chopper. I have seen nice proportions of chicken on a salad and the picker drops some of it as they are rushing to the chopper. The chopper flings more of it while putting the salad on the cutting board and chopping it. Maybe if they weren’t rushing like madmen or if they put the ingredients inside the bowl and top it with the greens they would lose less. Slow down or at least be mindful of the food I am paying for!

Chop’t is an efficient place to get a bite in Hudson Eats inside Brookfield Place. The salads are quite generous albeit a bit pricey(as is the norm at Hudson Eats, the upscale food court that is so nice it defies the term«food court.») I’ve been very happy with the salads at Chop’t – my personal favorite is the Cobb. I do wish the place was a little more organized, because while it is efficient and fast, it is those things to a fault. The experience of getting a salad here goes something like this: «Stand in line patiently until it’s your turn… IT’S YOURTURN – HURRYUP… STANDHERE… NOHERE… WHATDOYOUWANT? NOTIMEFORQUESTIONS… NOWHURRYUPANDRUNOVERHERE… NOHERE… WHATDRESSINGDOYOUWANT… WHATDIDYOUSAY? I CANNOTHEARYOUOVERALLTHEPOUNDINGOFWORKERSCHOPPINGSALADS… ISTHATENOUGHDRESSING? WHATABOUTNOW… NOWRUNOVERTOTHENEXTSETOFLINESTOPAYANDGETTHEHECKOUTOFTHEWAY!» You’ll get a good salad rapidly at Chop’t, but you may need to catch your breath and calm down before you eat it. Tip: Be absolutely sure what you want before you get in line(and if you have any anxiety disorders, go to one of the other restaurants in Hudson Eats.)

Now this is how you make a salad! Don’t be discouraged by the line even if it’s snakes. It goes by relatively fast and the diligent and efficient salad choppers prove it. We enjoyed the steakhouse salad. Great flavor on the beef and fried onions. Paired it with the creamy sriacha and creamy Mexican dressing that had avocado, lime and cilantro. Sooooo good. The hub got the special burrito salad that’s unlike the rest. It’s served warm with flavorful chicken that’s got a nice kick, black beans, cotija cheese and kale. Oh and rice. It weighs a ton! Hahahaha. Delicious Salad that’s still healthy with good ingredients and really tasty dressings! Must go to at Hudson Eats!

Seeking a healthier option after going to Mighty Quinn’s, Umami Burger, Num Pang and Sprinkles all last week, I decided to try Chop’t. I think the salad I got was pretty good because it wasn’t really actually healthy at all. I was drawn in by the large poster over the counter advertising this special, the Braised Chicken Tinga Salad($ 10). I also noticed that for some reason you get it for just $ 8 when it’s raining out. Nice random reason to save a few bucks. Anyway, the salad was pretty good, but this one didn’t really resemble a salad. They piled on a pretty generous amount of the chicken, along with a sad little scoop of the brown rice and a small portion of black beans. There were also pretty stale-tasting tortilla crisps, which didn’t help the cause. In summary, if I’m gonna eat all this protein and fat(a huge chunk of avocado was in there too), I’m just gonna head a few steps over to Mighty Quinn’s and really enjoy myself. I suppose this is a good choice for vegetarians though and if you have the self-control to order one of the actually healthy salads. With so many delicious options within steps though, I don’t know if I will find out. Besides, everybody knows you don’t make friends with salad.
