Zero compassion. Mr. Chow(I don’t even feel right calling him a Dr.) is a butcher that somehow obtained a Dr’s license. Save your time, money, and energy for someone competent.

Dr. Chow has a fairly professional staff that is courteous and efficient. Initial impression when he first enters the room is warm but it quickly deteriorates. He spent less than 8 minutes with us on our first visit, was terse and not helpful even after we explained that our cousin is mentally challenged. For a doctor he has exceptionally poor bedside manners. He does a below average job in getting to know his patients, runs an assembly line, and tries to get each patient in and out as fast as possible. On our second visit the interaction was much worse. After waiting for over 30 minutes from our 12:30PM schedule, he made us wait another 20 minutes to verify our cousin’s insurance, and then denied the procedure to trim his toe nails. He didn’t know what medication my cousin was taking, and spent less than 20 seconds looking at his toe nails. It was a very frustrating experience and I was just glad I ran interference for my cousin.

To simply put it, out to get your money. Will only prescribe brand name meds. When I had my pharmacist call to tell him that my insurance doesn’t cover the $ 500 med, he refused to prescribe an alternative one. He’s probably taking a cut from pharma. Not very professional.

The only good thing I can say about Dr. Chow is: he is experienced. In terms of patient care and compassion, he doesn’t have any. Yes, some patients are annoying. I know that first hand as I work in the healthcare business. Apparently, Dr. Chow can’t handle these type of patients. He flew off the handle when questioned twice regarding choices. His tone went from softly spoken to enraged annoyance. He takes his anger out on inanimate objects as I observed him preparing. For a young, experienced and naïve doctor to show this type of attitude in the medical field where patient care is the most important factor, shows how unprofessional Dr. Chow is. Don’t get me wrong, he is an experienced DPM, but if you can handle his sudden and uncalled for outbursts, then he is for you. Otherwise, I extremely, DONOT, recommend this physician, on a professional level, to anyone.

Dr. Chow is a very good communicator, listens and truly hears what you say. Young ladies outside at the front desk are friendly and are able to communicate in several languages. Most importantly they have plenty of patience indealing with patients.
