So here is the thing, I have been getting salads here for over a year. This last time I found a water bug in my salad. It was gross. What’s worse I found it right when I was on my last bite. I returned it to the store and got my money back. I didn’t expect anything else, I just wish they would clean their vegetables better. Another time I found a hair in the bell peppers as the guy was about to scoop some into my salad, clearly I stopped him. Moral of the story, this business is not a bad business and they mean well but they need to do a better job keeping their food clean. Unfortunately I don’t think I could get myself to eat here again. Second moral: look at your food when you eat it to look out for critters.

They open at 11:30. I walked in at 11:32. I made a joke about being the first customer of the day. The waiter or manager was clearly put out that I was there and made it know. Life’s too short to eat at restaurants that don’t want customers. I left. Enjoy your empty restaurant.

Got delivery through seamless. Got the philly cheese steak on a hoagie roll. Pretty good tasting. Could have been warmer by the time it got to me but still pretty good.

Just bought a tuna salad on rye sandwich and brought it back to my office. When I opened it I discovered that the bread was very stale. Pretty unacceptable. There are dozens of good sandwich places in the area — is fresh bread too much to ask?

Never tasted better eggs in my life. Very friendly customer service as well. However, they got my order wrong twice. I ordered from grubhub and in the description it says comes with home fries and toast. One time I’m guessing they ran out of home fries and substituted with a hash brown(which tasted great) and the other time it was just scrambled eggs. No toast, no home fries. I was going to call back but the delivery guy didn’t bring any change and had to go back and bring it to me so I didn’t call. Secondly, whenever I drink the tomato soup, i feel something in my mouth and when i spit it out, it turns out to be cardboard. Don’t know what’s up with that.

I work in the area and have frequented most of the restaraunts in the area for at least 10 years. I found this place not only the best prices but the freshest food and the nicest staff i have found in the downtown area. Whether you are a tourist or a local worker, you can’t go wrong eating at Church St. Kitchen. I have just found my new haunt after years of getting ripped off at other places to eat — it is worth it for me to to walk an xtra two blocks. I love it!

These guys are awesome — always polite kitchen staff. Happy to serve you. They have a good variety of healthy and bad-for-you food so whatever you are craving you can find here. Nice and quick lunch spot. I highly recommend them. The cashier is always delightful.

Food is spot on. Menu is great, soup is delish and smoothies are good. I have to give them 3 stars because every time I get the French style sandwich(seriously my favorite thing) the bread is stale. I order online a lot and leave it as a note on seamless and that way it’s better. But I’m a chef, and when I go into the storefront, I don’t want to have to say«use fresh bread that hasn’t had one corner open for 3 days.»

It’s cheap and very fast if nothing else. You can be in and out of here with a breakfast wrap in two minutes flat but it’s not going to change your life or be memorable.

Don’t try to buy a cup of ice on a summer day. She told me no ice for me. By wary of how they serve the iced coffee it’s in a big vat. I will take my hard earned NYSIF bucks elsewhere. Also the lady is miserable behind the counter. SMILE

I was unexpectedly in the area on a recent Saturday morning and was looking for a quick breakfast. I ordered a toasted, scooped out Everything bagel with lox spread and a small ice coffee. My bagel was prepared promptly and service was friendly. Everything was around $ 5.50 and delicious. Would definitely try it again if I’m in the area.

This is a decent deli on weekends, when the majority of convenience grubs in the area are closed. The salad selection was below par(maybe because it was the weekend), but the soup I ordered was tasty.

Went for the Monte Cristo Panini, came back with disappointment. I stopped by CSK and looked at the menu they had in the window. I saw they offered a Monte Cristo – ham, turkey, swiss, etc. with honey mustard – and thought that might be nice. What I didn’t realize was that their panninis are pre-made and sit in their case(or under based on how low the guy went to rummage around… I didn’t actually see him take it from the case). After a mild warming in the pannini press he put the two halves in a clear clamshell takout container and I was on my way. It really was just Meh. There was no kick of honey mustard, and the lettuce and tomatoes were no more than bland filler. I really went in there wanting to like this place – they certainly have a wide variety of choices and the crew seemed friendly enough – but I don’t have a reason to revisit.

I order from this place all the time on Seamless. I love that they are quick and consistent. I currently had to change my diet this month, and thought I would no longer be able to order from Church Street Kitchen — but I was wrong! They have a lot of healthy options, that are really healthy — not just labeled that way to sell food.

I feel so bad giving this place a bad review because I really, really want to love it. I’ve been going to Church Street Kitchen on average, maybe once a week since they opened this fall. Every time I’ve gone I’ve ordered the waldorf wrap, which is a chicken salad wrap with apples and grapes. I found it kind of adorable that no one exactly knew how to make it so every time I’d order it it would come out different, twice even being over charged and not realizing it until it was too late. Except for today. I have a very sensitive stomach and I’m very careful about the things I eat. I was happy when I found the waldorf wrap agreed with me. Today, I went in and ordered the waldorf wrap on a spinach tortilla as usual. Didn’t notice much out of the ordinary, though when they were making the sandwich the wrap itself looked oddly a bit wet. I got back and started eating it and found out what was wrong. The wrap itself was covered in grease on both sides. The guys working there were careless and warmed the wrap up on a dirty flat top griddle covered in meaty grease from someone else’s meal. There were even little meat bits stuck to the paper wrapping that I noticed after. Lo and behold, what happens? An hour later, I got sick. As much as I love the owners and how nice everyone is, this is probably the very last time I’ll ever eat there.

Very sweet woman owner who runs the store with her husband. Kitchen staff is also very nice. You can tell that it’s a new operation but they’re trying hard. Interior is very long and narrow and offers limited seating with about three 2-top tables. Great order-and-go spot. Besides their fresh breakfast, sandwich and salad options, they also serve coffee and espresso drinks, cold beverages, Asprin, cereal, Juice Bar, snacks, etc. etc. Kind of like a deli mixed with a mini-convenience store. My co-workers and I have enjoyed everything we’ve had from here so far. I like that they have a «Healthy Sandwiches» portion of the menu. The menu consists of your basic deli sandwiches, hot and grill options like burgers and cheesesteaks, wraps, paninis and salads. You can customize your own salad completely which is nice and the options are endless. My favorite so far is the Mayor Mike’s BLT which is Smoked Turkey, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and Mayo. Although the Grilled Chicken with fresh mozzarella, roasted pepper and Pesto is also very good, Prices are more than reasonable for generous portions — very, very reasonable. The owner is so sweet and it’s a great addition to Tribeca — they also do Catering at VERY reasonable prices!

They offer a daily selection of all homemade American food, like roast beef, fried chicken, meatloaf and lasagna and sides, along with fresh fruits and salads, paninis, wraps and made-to-order sandwiches. Their soups are always made from scratch(not using canned broths). They make fresh fruit and vegetable juices, as well as smoothies. Their breakfasts are served up fast and taste great.
