I’m so sad to hear that this pub is closing! What?! Say it isn’t so! Their $ 5 picklebacks on happy hour are one of a kind. They always have some sort of beer special, no matter what the hour. Most of the food I’ve tried is decent. Good tap list. Can’t complain. If it’s true that you are closing, I will miss thee.

Delicious! From the kids meal to my ultimate lamb burger! A great place to have lunch or dinner after a day visiting the park. The owner/manager treats everyone equally and respectfully… and the staff follows his lead. Can’t wait for my next visit from RI and share with the rest of our clan! Happy New Year!

This was the first bar I ever visited in Manhattan back in April. The friendly staff and management would have generated a three or four star review for ‘Connolly’s’ in their own right — however I have given this bar five stars due to one of the regulars — Miguel. Miguel is a great ambassador for ‘Connolly’s’ — being an Englishman in New York, I was keen to sample the nightlife and he gave me an inside track on Manhattan bars and clubs, taking me and another visitor, Patrick, who was working at the UN, on an inpromptu pub crawl, and giving me my first opportunity to meet New Yorkers socially. From walking into ‘Connolly’s’ on day one and knowing no one to saying goodbye to friends a week later is a measure of a wonderful holiday — so thank you ‘Connolly’s’ for that…

Came here for lunch with a peer, and we both ordered salads. That can be a risky thing to do at an Irish bar, but both salads were fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed my Cobb salad, which was rich with blue cheese deliciousness. Service was nothing spectacular, but at lunch it was prompt and efficient. I’d come back for a salad and a quiet place to have a good conversation over lunch.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I’ve never been to a place where the owner literally YELLS at you over the bill. I arrived to meet a few coworkers there today, waiter comes over to take our drink order and I asked about happy hour specials. So he comes back with the menu, and said it starts at 4, with the time being 3:56. So my friend and I say, ok, get us these two beers, we want the happy hour special, but don’t bring it to us until after 4 so we can get the special. Bill comes and we’re charged full price for the beers. I ask the served to adjust it, and the owner comes back to the table and accuses us of lying saying he knows we were there earlier(which we were not, our coworkers were). We explained what we told the waiter, and he basically said he didn’t care, it doesn’t work that way and is literally YELLING at us in the middle of the bar. What happened to the customer is always right? Disgusting. Never have a seen someone so rude over something so trivial. Are those $ 3 really worth losing customers over?

Great selection of beers but okay burgers. Service score even goes down. Friend and I decided to have dinner here. Got seated right away, and the server checked on us about 3 times. 1. Get our water/order 2. Give our food and refill our drinks. 3. Get the check. Would come here if I want just drinks and hang out with friends but not really much for food.

Time squares in the area of New York City that has everything and anything that you could possibly want. This is one place that’s off the beaten path you definitely don’t wanna miss out on. Especially if you enjoy the Irish pub feel. This place has multiple floors, has great food, and is well designed for the normal traveler to New York City. I have tried most of their Americanized Irish food here such as their boneless buffalo wings, fried calamari, pulled pork and their dessert apple pie. All the food has always offered what I was expecting and the beers that are on tap, even though a little pricey, are of very nice quality. The only issue I have with this place is that the waitresses, even with few patrons around, can still do a very bad job of getting around to customers sometimes.

Clean establishment, nice staff, kid friendly. While I found the chicken on the Chinese Chicken Gourmet salad to be lacking a little in taste and was a little dry, I would still order it all over, again. The salad as a whole was fantastic. Very fresh and tasty dressing. All other items ordered were delicious as well. The Incredible Lamb Burger really was incredible. The Grilled Portabello was tasty. The owners of the other dishes spoke very highly of their dishes, which included the Connolly’s Crab Cake, a salmon dish, kid’s burger, chicken dish, etc. The french fries are contained in a metal type of holder, which kept the fries warm throughout the meal. All in all, evereyone was very happy with their meals.

Nothing great! A regular Irish pub which gets crowded in the evenings. We managed to get a table which suited us fine as we were planning to have a quick bite. Decent food– had the calamaris and the fish & chips. The calamaris were fresh; the fish and chips were just ok! I would prefer to have crispy chips with my fried fish. The fries which were served with the fish were a bit on the soggier side! One good thing about the place is that its clean unlike many other pubs! Service was pretty good as well. Apart from the server, the manager also came over twice to check on the service.

I had a bad interaction with the waiter here which is why I’m giving it two stars. But if you like diner/pub food this may be a good place to go. The guy kept drinking a beer and watching the game on TV. I actually had to wave to the manager, who told our waiter that my fellow dinees and I were waiting for him which he then ignored for another 5 minutes. He clearly didn’t realize how hungry I was because I eventually had to get up to ask to put my order in(usually this is a huge no-no for me but desperate times call for desperate measures). I think he felt bad later because he came over twice to ask how our food was… it was mediocre but I lied and said it was fine. The menu looked great but the food was okaaaay. My burger wasn’t cooked properly. Asked for medium rare and it was super well done which i didn’t think warranted the $ 17 price tag.

Went to watch a game and the sound wasn’t on, just music! Vodka was apparently Smirnoff but tasted terrible, not like Smirnoff vodka at all! went back to order another as I couldn’t drink it and the barman sarcastically poured another that tasted as bad! Left!

Typical Irish pub. Nice waitstaff/bartenders. A little packed but we still got seats. Magners on tap was great but they didn’t ask if I wanted ice or not. My friend’s martini was great. Their vodka options were limited, tho, so she went for gin instead. Basically, your typical Irish pub. Fun, decent food, pleasant staff. (I did appreciate the several vegetarian options on the menu!)

Came here for lunch and it was servicible. Like many places in this area it fills up QUICK when the business crowd gets out. I got here a little early and was the first one in. Place is decorated nicely in an old-NY way; lots of hardwood and brass. Service was ok at first, but as the place filled up it got much better, which is understandable. I could’ve done without the generic loud music playing in the background, but whatever. I got a cajun chicken sandwich. It was alright. It had a little cajun flavor. Definitely tasted like it was thawed out, but it was edible. Fries was ok. Bread was run of the mill. I would like to write more here, but there’s absolutely nothing else to say about it. My friend’s fish sticks looked much better, and I might’ve done better if I got that but I didn’t feel like fish. This place may not hold up to food scrutiny, but its good at what it actually does. Stick to what people are reccomending here if you come here for a business lunch.

I went here to meet up with a friend from college, we tend to go to casual places to grab dinner not to pricey, quiet enough to talk etc. I found this place(of course on Unilocal!) and decided to give it a shot. I got there very early and had a seat at the bar, ordered some wine, and just watched the sports tvs and news tvs waiting for my friend. There were some real authentic Irish/British guys there(always a good sign) that were really nice. The bartender was nice as well, he gave me my wine but didn’t push me to start a tab or pay right away even though I took my card out. He offered to refill my glass when I was almost done but I told him to wait a sec. He then re-filled my glass VERY generously after calling me «Love»(which is very typical for British men even women to say as a nice term instead of ‘You’ ‘M’am” etc). My friend got there and we were seated for dinner. I had the Unilocal!famed turkey burger and YES. everyone is right. Order the Aztec turkey burger. All in all a great restaurant. I’d go there again but not on the top of my list to re-visit.

I’ve eaten & got drunk here many times. It’s a typical chain Irish pub. Food quality is okay, nothing stands out, even compare to other Connellys. The scene is more of typical mid-town kids hang out aft 5.

Everytime I go to NYC I always end up at Connolly’s. why you ask? Cuz I always have a good time here, of course! Irish bars are a dime a dozen in Manhattan and there are a ton within walking distance of Connolly’s but for some reason I think the caliber of peeps that go here is a lil bit above. It’s also a very homey bar w/friendly bartenders, good food and good reasonably priced drinks. I’ve honestly never had a bad night here! Thx Connolly’s! :-)

I used to work across the street from this Connolly’s. I say«this» Connolly’s because there seem to be about a dozen«connolly’s» bars in midtown that do not appear to be related to one another. Those crazy Irish. Anyway, this pub is a bit quieter than most of the similar irish pubs that populate this area of midtown. Which is nice. Great place for an after-work pint with your buds, away from the grab-assing d-bags packing themselves into Snafu across the street. That said, the prices are average for midtown, meaning +1 what they should be. The bar area feels a bit small for how much real estate it covers. The bartenders are pretty cool though — friendly and usually buy back a round after a few. Good fellas. Had lunch a few times here too — decent, but nothing special. The Kobe burger was a let down, but most Kobe burgers are.

Yummy turkey burger! Which comes with guacamole! The price is a bit expensive($ 13) but so worth it. Service is fast so you can make it back to the office under an hour. Good for big groups but try calling ahead to ensure seating.

Friday night. 6pm. Walked in here. It was crowded at the bar, but we found a place to sit. I wasn’t super impressed, its not cheap, food is ok, beer is ok. For food, we had the –boneless wings, mild. If a restaurant can’t even deep fry food properly, they have a problem. They did an ok job, its hard to mess up wings. –Nacho platter. I thought the nacho chips were weird, they were not your usual store bought nacho chips, they looked like deep fried nacho chips. It was topped with cheese, salsa, and sour cream. You can’t mess up nachos that easily either. Meh, ok, I may or may not come back.
