I get a salad for lunch here on a regular basis. It is always fresh and quick. The salad is less than $ 8 — can’t beat that! They have a wide selection of drinks and add-on items(snacks, yogurt, etc.) as well. My co-worker likes the sushi there too. I am a repeat customer and would recommend.

I don’t have my own scale, so no proof, but watch out. 2X in a row a smattering from the salad bar cost me $ 11.00 +. City needs to check this out.

I visited the Cranberry Café several times as it is just a few doors down from the Hyatt Times Square where I was staying. I picked up bottled water and Jalapeños potato chips, coffee another time, and visited the Hot Bar one evening for a late night dinner and got some food to go. The Hot Bar food was rather plain, yet solid, stick-to-your ribs food. They have a full, rather large salad bar, hot bar buffet, coffee, sushi, sandwiches, and more. There is a sizable breakfast business going on here mornings as evidenced by the line of folks ordering various breakfasts to go. And it’s a small convenience store as well. There is limited seating downstairs, but there is an upstairs area with more seating — according to the sign I saw — I did not investigate.

I quickly lost sanity points while trying to order. The two men behind the counter chaotically barked at customers then assembled sandwiches. The growing line became so confused regarding whom had been helped and who hadn’t that the tension among customers was palpable. I believe that the guys were using their poor grasp of the English language as an excuse for bad customer service. Well, we are native Spanish speakers and that didn’t seem to help us much. Regardless of language, interactions were like pulling teeth. For example, asking for a toasted bagel with lox. After explaining the meaning of lox, his response was: «you want us to warm it??? That’s going to make you sick». Not entirely sure why warming their lox sandwich would make me sick, but eventually they did toast the bagel. The food itself was okay. The type of okay that’s usually accompanied by a shrug. Definitely not worth the hassle.

I used to come here all the time. But more and more it went downhill so I went next door to dunhil. Tried it again today and back to dunhil for me. The bagel was stake, the vegetable cream cheese was too thick and dry and not many vegetables. The only thing I can say for this place is they got the order right and the staff works hard. There’s also a large seating area upstairs. But I couldn’t even get into dunhil this morning it was do packed and there are only 4 people up here eating breakfast… that says it all

Well what can I say?! This place is amazing. Given that it’s right at Times Square it’s very convenient. This store has a variety of breakfast options along with lunch and dinner. They also have a variety of fruit you can choose from fresh and already cut. Besides this option they also have a deli. All types of sandwiches, bagels, breads. This store is also like a small convenience store. All types of beverages, snacks, and medicine. It is so convenient if you’re staying nearby.

Mmmmm mmmm good. Hot pastrami/corned beef sandwich on rye with provolone. The Chesse melts with heat… So much meat is piled on for the $ 7.50 that i shared it with a friend. Comes with lettuce tomato and whole dill pickle. Paired this with warm chicken noodle soup. Thick noodle. Chunky veggies and hunks of chicken… Yep chicken! Soup and sandwich hit the spot after a night at the theaters. Fast service. Theres lots of variety of salads, pastas, etc in pre cooked bin area. The beet and quinoa salad looked good. Also had some broccolini and other sautéed veggies in the bins.

At breakfast time, there are lots of people getting food to go, but you can eat there too. The short order cook is very quick. Extremely reasonable prices. I had a western omelette(probably three eggs), potatoes, toast and coffee for just under $ 9.00. Close to the midtown Hyatt. Lots of food choices. Large salad bar. Large hot food bar too. Pre-made paninis and wraps.

I came here at like 2am starving and my boyfriend and I got some reubens. It was empty and I was exhausted so I didn’t get much of a look inside. I do remember that the two gentlemen working were very nice! They were fast making our food and it was very yummy! It was exactly what I needed after a long day. They had a large menu and prices were normal. I wish that wasn’t my last night in New York or else I probably would have eaten here again.

Never been to New York, nice and simple store layout with quick and excellent bacon egg and cheese bagels. I wish more stores were like this.

We were actually on our way to a different restaurant when we came across this restaurant. After reviewing the variety of food options on the sidewalk, we decided to give this restaurant a shot. The service was good and on our order came out quickly. Loved the open windows and the multiple tv screens. Perfect place for lunch.

We were staying around the corner at the Hotel Mela(on 44th) and asked the concierge if there was a bodega where we could grab a few things for the room. He recommended the Cranberry Deli and boy were we happy! In the morning I was able to grab a breakfast sandwich for my boyfriend and some great fresh fruit on the salad bar(strawberries, grapes, melon, pineapple, blueberries) and yogurt as well as some water, soda and iced tea. I noticed that they also had a hot food bar as well as a full service deli(where I ordered the breakfast sandwich — which my BF loved BTW) and a ton of other items(muffins, cookies, chips, fruit, candy, etc.) as well as a place to eat in. I will keep it in mind the next time we are Midtown for sure!!!

This is the best place ever if you’re a tourist in New York City and want to grab a cheap breakfast! Just a simple cream cheese bagel, scrambled eggs or oatmeal with fruit. It all tastes excellent and is cheap compared to other NY prices! The service was always friendly and the area to sit in is absolutely fine since it is not a restaurant!

Stayed at the st. James hotel so the cranberry was only two doors down. Absolutely loved the chopped salad made to order. Prices are not too bad.

Although relatively quick and inexpensive, the food itself did not seem to me to be the freshest. My meal was pre-made and unfortunately just heated up in the microwave. Again, not a very good café/deli approach in my opinion. The service was even worse. Those taking your order did not seem like they wanted to be there and we’re not accommodating to food allergies. Friendliness was definitely at a minimum. I’m sure there are better options elsewhere. I will not be returning.

I’ve been going to cranberry café for the past three years. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is always on point! They are probably the best deli in Midtown, and I will continue to eat here as long as I work in the area. Also, how can you resist a free pickle!

This is right amongst many office buildings in Times Square, and gets very busy during the lunch rush so typically customers are donned in dress shirts and suits. Has a wide variety of things to eat; paninis, sandwiches, a hot and cold bar, salad bar, and many more options. The prices here do seem pretty reasonable for lunch in the city. I typically stick to getting salads here, as you can get a huge salad for around $ 8, which is a much better deal than other places.

Amazing variety of healthy and unhealthy food! From the delicious panini that my wife and I had to a massive hot and cold bar filled w fruit, salads, max and cheese, roast chicken, fried potstickers, sausage and peppers and so much more. And there’s a big seating area upstairs! They offer it all quick and for a reasonable price. Right in the heart of the big apple. What’s not to love?!

My go to place for lunch because it’s across the street from work. The breakfast selection is good(egg/cheese/sausage on a roll). I used to like the bagels, but now they pre-toast them and then run them through the toaster again when you order one. Doesn’t make for a tasty final product. The food in the steam bar is also pretty mediocre. Three stars overall, but four stars for the udon soup bar on the right hand side as you come on. Tasty broth and lots of veggies and meat. Perfect for a cold winter day!

Good Hot buffet in the back for lunch. About ~$ 8.50 a lb… same as everywhere nearby They also have a ready made sushi station stocked throughout the day. 9 Piece spicy salmon roll is $ 6.50, most of the other rolls are within a dollar. As far as taste goes… its alright, just your average pre-packaged sushi. Breakfast is a deli style line. You tell your order, they make it, wrap it up, and write a price. First time I went — 3 eggs, bacon, and cheese on a wrap. $ 475 Second time i went — 3 eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese, ketchup, hot sauce — $ 5.25 If you ask for hot sauce, they will give you sriracha. Good size portions and the line moves fast — multiple guys on the grill cooking eggs. Lox sandwich also on the above average side. They typically give you a nice stack of 4 – 5 slices of lox compared to 1 – 2 at other places, and give you a nice thick slab of cream cheese on the bagels. $ 8,11 after tax For lunch, deli sandwiches are awesome. Really big, packed with lots of meat. $ 7. Way better and lots more flavor than Park Italian Gourmet across the street Chips are $ 1.50 for small bags. They also carry Tates cookies for $ 6 a bag if you like those Downside to this place is $ 8 minimum on credit cards though I the deli next door is there if you need a non cc minimum.

I am echoing the sentiments of other reviewers here when I say Cranberry Gourmet Deli isn’t bad but it isn’t good either. In colloquial terms, it is simply ‘meh.’ The difficult part about working in the area is that many of the food joints are restaurants or overly-campy and priced ridiculous due to the proximity of high tourism areas. Cranberry is really well priced, and during my lunch hour, in an attempt to save some cash from my expensive commute I decided to try out the place. I was also interested in seeing their top floor which was truly a big space to eat in. I ordered from the sandwich counter an apple smoked turkey and brie sandwich. i think there was something maple in there as well. I should have stuck to a more basic sandwich instead of a more artisan type. On the initial bite it wasn’t so bad, but the after taste burned my throat a bit. Half the sandwich was also finely sliced cucumber which watered down the sandwich tremendously. The bread was also sticky due to the syrup and was also soggy. The perks about this place is that it has a good selection, the prices are competitively advantageous to the buyer, it is close to my office, and it has ample seating upstairs. The credit card minimum is $ 8 which isn’t bad either. The registers on the right side when exiting only accept the cards, the one on the left does not. I’ll probably come back because of convenience and tightening the drawstrings on my purse.
