I have worked w/​David at Décor Art Gallery on a couple of pieces over the past few years and couldn’t be more impressed! Most recently, I brought in a print for matting and framing but wasn’t sure what would look best with my existing art. I knew the print would hang near a small oil painting (which I also brought in for reference), and David helped me select a complimentary /​coordinating frame within my budget. He even fixed the hanging mechanism and papered the back of the oil painting on the spot, free of charge.
I will continue to bring all of my art to Décor for framing because of the high quality of their products and workmanship, fair prices, professionalism, quick turnaround, local delivery, and incredible customer service.

Came here to get a piece framed and the staff is friendly and helpful! They helped pick the matting and the frame styling. I had a chip in the frame when I got the thing home, but I called and they fixed it without any hassles. be sure to haggle for the prices though… :)

I want to strongly encourage people who have ‘old pictures’ in storage, or with the passage of time, look down at the heels. Maybe you have art from a garage sale a flea market or, in my case, mom’s old collections: Re-​think, re-​do and keep! Going through mother’s things, I came upon several pieces I sensed would benefit from a loving restoration. One had already been broken and repaired. So I brought it to Décor. David and I discussed options and then arrived at a ‘shadow box’ presentation. It turned out absolutely stunning. A second piece was a miniature painting. Again, Décor was spot on, in terms of ideas for framing, matting, and the most beautiful way to ‘re-​incarnate’ this lovely little work. I am delighted with all the results. By all means have art around you that you like. And buy what pleases you. But — hey — take another look at the things hanging on your wall. Could they benefit from a ‘re-​tread’? Two of mine sure did! Kudos, David and the staff at Décor!

Recently paid a visit to this store again and was in awe of their wonderful service. They even remembered me, and helped me pick out another piece for my living room. David and Joseph were extremely helpful as usual– and I value their excellent service since there are so many business owners in the city who just don’t care.

I have been meaning to write this review for over a year, so here goes: Décor Art Gallery did an incredible job framing several pieces of art for me. They were knowledgeable and reliable, and really helped me choose the perfect frames for my pieces. David even came to my apartment and suggested different framing options based on my apartment layout and décor, and delivered the framed pieces once they were completed — earlier than expected. I highly recommend Décor Art Gallery for framing.

The work Décor Art Gallery did on my mirror was superb. David was very professional, polite and courteous. All the work he completed for me was perfect and I would never hesitate to use Décor Art Gallery’s services again. Ask for David. He knows what he is doing and gives great advice. The prices are extremely reasonable especially for Manhattan. They also sell very nice art work. I would highly recommend them!

These guys are great. They are patient while you are picking out what you want and are helpful without pushing. The end product is perfect and I would recommend them to anyone.

I had a great experience at Décor Art Gallery. I got two pieces of art framed, and both were done with impeccable quality, were ready very quickly, and the price was right. The Groupon rate is very helpful, and working with David was a pleasure!

I needed a relatively large canvas stretched. I called around to many framing stores and got quotes with the lowest being $ 120 for the wooden stretcher bars plus cross bars. This place sent me an email quoting me for just $ 100, and I had even found a groupon for $ 100 worth of services, so of course I went with this choice!
Wish I didn’t, but I already purchased the groupon and had to use it.
I went in with my canvas and the man (apparently a co-​owner? he was younger, about early 30’s) looked at my canvas and told me to stretch it would cost «uhhh, $ 275». Appalled at the pricing, I then informed him that I had communicated via email with his partner who had told me the price was $ 100 (I even pulled up the email for him). He then proceeded to give me the option of thicker stretcher bars with crossbars which according to him would cost $ 175, or the thinner stretcher bars with crossbars which would cost $ 160, claiming that the original quote did not include the cost of the crossbars. I am no expert at framing, but I did do my research and the additional cross bars should not have cost more than another $ 20. Also, he claimed that putting the staples on the back of the frame versus the side of the frame was going to cost an additional $ 30 (really? the effort is exactly the same and I had NEVER heard of that before). He was clearly MAKING UP PRICES on the spot to attempt to compensate for his partners price quote. In the end, I just got sick of debating with him, wanted to just use the groupon, and just asked for the thinner bars with crossbars. Paid and left to pick it up in a week.
One week later, I call and it is still not done. Of course they had not done it yet. They did, however, quickly get it done to be picked up the day after I called. The lack of professionalism continued because upon picking it up I immediately see that he DID NOT put in crossbars! He said, «oh, well I used the thicker wood so it doesn’t need it»… Well, I PAID FOR crossbars so that further on down the line, the frame would not warp. At that point, since it was already stretched out and stapled in, I was just too tired to argue with him further. At which point he asked, «do you really need me to wrap it up?»… really? The piece is a painting nearly 3.5 feet by 4.5 feet and you expect me to carry it unprotected?
I would much rather give my business to local family-​owned businesses, but I truly regret ever having trusted this local framer. I regret having purchased the groupon only to be forced to give any business to them.
