Do go in! As others have stated the staff here is very approachable, knowledgable and friendly. See, I can use non-«able» words. I use to be very anti-Ralphie to the point of every time I saw that polo horse thing on a shirt it made me want to… well you know and I can’t us those types of phases in ralphie land. When I first arrived in New York from the Midwest many years ago I found my first job right in the middle of preppie heaven Town & Country magazine. I managed to manage and hate to disappoint went on to met some of the nicest people in my long publishing career. And, yes there is a huge difference between old money and new money. Gosh just enough of this life story stuff. Just go in! Great stuff, great prices and do look for sales and check out his RRL line. You get what you pay for and best of all its 100% Cotton which in case you haven’t noticed is being switched over at most other competing brands as what they deem to label as mix or in some cases no label at all which is illegal but guess what they don’t care but Ralph does and his stuff still remains as quality. And, even though Mr. Lauren I recently read has stepped aside to let new blood into the business it appears that designed in America still means something besides just Apple products. And, besides Ralph Lauren has been and will be always a much better human being(not perfect) than Mr. Jobs ever was even on his best night. Go treat yourself and if your fearful than there is always the web…

I was referred to this store by someone at the Madison Avenue Ralph Lauren store. My husband and I made a special trip to check it out only to find it closed temporarily for re-model. It appeared to be open online and there was no answer or message saying it was closed. Would be nice to let the public know. Very disappointing– especially for out of towners!

Nice guys running a cool space with a nice selection. You can use RL giftcards here, but it’s definitely a different theme.

Staff are friendly and always willing to run downstairs to grab extra sizes. You can find sale T-shirts for $ 20 or come across a woman’s vest for $ 450. A lot of hobo-chic clothing that can easily be paired with your closet basics to give your look a pop. You might find yourself trying on some dresses that just look and feel awkward, but when you take a look on the RL website even their models look awkward in some of their designs. Great quality clothing and mid-industrial décor with spacious changing rooms.

This store is rockin’!! There is a huge difference between Polo Ralph Lauren and Denim & Supply, Ralph Lauren. During my travels to offices who allow business casual Fridays, I’d see dopey Long Island guys wearing Polo shirts. But the non Polo Ralph Lauren brands? They’re classic outdoor casual clothing. My favorite denim shirt is Ralph Lauren. When Denim & Supply Ralph Lauren opened, I knew it would be a place that I would enjoy. I’m not a fan of True Religion mens clothing. I think its over priced, trendy clothes and not age appropriate. I walk into the store and everyone was helpful. The salesperson comes over to me and we start talking about how I screwed up the Jeans I bought at Jean Shop by washing them. He finds a pair of Jeans in my size and I try them on. I know when you by these raw denim jeans that have to be tight so I he finds me another pair. No one was snooty and I grab another sales person and I asked if he can charge my iPhone? Not a problem sir. Excellent customer service… The sales people were approachable, knowledgeable and made my shopping experience a pleasure. 5 stars!

I never knew Ralph Lauren made non yacht-ware until I came to Denim and Supply for an event. The price tag is definitely RL(though the staff suggested to me that this was RL’s «affordable» line), but the styles are more modern, edgy, and at least right now have a lot of punk influence. The store itself is a bit confusing, decked out with fake graffiti behind the register and old punk flyers. I mean, is there anything less punk than RL? All the while I tried to rebel against the shameless co-opting of a subculture an elite brand has no real world connection to or interest in(I’m looking at you, Met), I admit I loved the clothes. The staff at denim & supply are less stodgy and buttoned up than the average RL store, though its hard to say how they’d treat me outside of a streetart event(where you gotta presume they’re tolerating the rabble more than usual). If I came across a large bag of unmarked bills I’d buy half the stuff in here I admit… but since I’m still poor, I guess I’ll just complain about the rich stealing styles from broke, dirty punks and charging $ 300 for it. Hate it till ya made it!

Don’t see much difference between this store and it’s predecessor Rugby other than than the name an how the store is displayed? then again, it’s just opened up, so we’ll find out soon… Hopefully the store employees won’t be as stuck-up as those from Rugby.
