I loved this bakery! Delicious pastries at a great price. We got the breakfast biscuits, it was good but a little on the greasy side for me but still delicious! Strawberry scone was amazing with strawberries baked into them. If I’m ever in NYC again I’ll definitely come back. Not good for groups but walk a little ways down there is a courtyard with seating. Very quick service!

This place has the best sweets on the face of the earth. I have a major sweet tooth and their cookies, bars, and cupcakes are able to satisfy me on every single visit. I’ve been here dozens and dozens of times and have not been let down a single time. The staff is friendly which is a bonus in NYC.

Food quality is inconsistent. I really like their pulled barbecue chicken sandwich. However, their«crispy» chicken on a biscuit is horrible. I expected a fresh piece of juicy fried chicken(this place bills itself as down home, southern, fresh cooking) but got a thin, greasy, breaded chicken patty that appeared to have been frozen and formed by a machine, and the sauce they put on it is disgusting. I felt physically ill after eating it. Oh, and air quality in the place at lunch time was also disgusting. I waited for my sandwich for no more than 3 minutes, but that’s all it took for my clothing to take on a gross smoky/burned smell for the rest of the afternoon. Next!

Try every one of their biscuits. If you get a chance, go to Donna Bell’s Bake Shop in the morning for biscuit sandwich. Egg, cheese, and a choice of ham, turkey or sausage. This sandwich is hearty!

Donna Bell… How do I begin? During our trip to New York, we had the opportunity to visit this gem. I got the chocolate chip cookie and my friend got an egg breakfast sandwich for a quick breakfast before the start of our day. This place makes the best cookies! One bite and I was sent to food heaven. I love myself a moist, chewy and warm cookie, and this is exactly what I was looking for and more. Although I did not have a chance to try the breakfast sandwich, there were plenty of rave reviews about it and I have no doubt that it is awesome as well. Make sure to check out this place if you are close to the Times Square/Hell’s Kitchen area!

this cute establishment deserves to be noted. I came here one morning and luckily the line wasn’t out the door. the people running the places seem to have everything under control. I ordered the sausage egg sandwich and it was delish. for $ 5, I couldn’t complain. the biscuit was the highlight of the meal. I loved every nook of it, lol. the sausage and egg were good too but the biscuit was everything! they’re really close to the a/c/e 50st station, so if you’re in the area, check it out! you won’t be disappointed.

This was was good, but I found my order was a little inconsistent. Some of the scones and bagels I ordered were very good. Soft, warm, had great flavor, and very fresh. Only good things to say about half my order. However the dessert portion of my order left more to be desired. One of the peanut butter bars I got was literally just slathered peanut butter(like 2 inches think) on some chocolate. I ended up throwing it out.

So was I too late so that all the good stuff are gone? Location: Donna Bell’s Bake Shop located in a hidden spot on 49th street. In fact, you could pass the store by accident if you are not paying attention. I did pay attention and with the help of google map, I did find it easily. I was greeted by a friendly staff and looked for something I am interested to eat. Well, by circling around, no, there’s nothing really unique to eat. Food: so I just went with the normal one — scone, specifically, almond chocolate scone. It is bit dry, but with a rich flavor of chocolate. I would not say it is awesome, but it did do a fine job to make me feel less hungary. Price: scone for 3 dollars? Not pricy at all Overall: I did not find anything fancy

The amazing bakery featuring southern style bake goods has a great variety of items. No seating. Strictly take out. Just a short walk from 8 th ave. really close to the theaters. Well worth the walk

I am sitting here right now eating a corn bread with raspberry jam in the center and jesus christ it is good! First you get that corn bread and you think… damn it is pretty good corn bread, it can’t get better than this. Then you hit the jam and you’re like… ITDOESGETBETTER! I’ve been to this place a few times now and I’ve had a lot of things including the scones, breakfast sandwiches, biscuits, but this corn bread takes the cake.

The breakfast sandwiches are worth the hype. The biscuits are huge and filled with enough butter to make you feel(almost) guilty about eating one. You have a choice of meat, and I got the sausage. The turn around is stupidly quick and the staff was super friendly. While I don’t recommend the coffee, I will become a regular to feed the inner-Southern woman that lives within my tiny body.

The smell of this place while walking was like a magnet. I had to get something. The Pumpkin Bar The food: Cons: –a bit rich and a little sweet Pros: –there was a nice contrast within the bar(smooth creamy top layer, the crust was nice and crumbly) –the bar itself was small but it was a lot of food. Unexpectedly filling. –you could actual take the pumpkin flavor in the center of the bar. Also meaning, the rest of the cheesy top and crust did not overpower the pumpkin flavor. Other: Cons: –the cashier wasn’t very interested in being their. I asked«what do I have to get here, like what is popular». He responds with«the muffins, the cones, the cookies, the bars,(then everything at the place). I guess they are known for their everything –no space to sit Pros: –the smell is intoxicating. Really… it smells so… you-gotta-go-in good. –lots of variety in their scone flavored. Look forward to going back. I hope that the cashier isn’t as dull with others as he was with me; but regardless, according to a famous man’s famous 3 words, «I’ll be back».

I came excited to try their biscuit breakfast sandwiches and got the ham, egg, and cheese. The biscuit was a little crumbly and dry. Honestly, I’d just go to McDonald’s if I were craving a biscuit sandwich in the future. It tastes better, is more conveniently located, and is portioned smaller so you don’t feel as guilty afterwards.

Had the most delicious biscuit breakfast sandwich here this morning. The biscuit is so buttery and flaky. Literally melts in your mouth. It comes with eggs, cheese, and your choice of meat(I got ham). It was the perfect combination. The ham was really thick and the egg was cooked perfectly. A great deal for $ 5. It’s a generous portion and super filling.

Donna Bell’s Biscuits should be named Bella because they’re so beautiful. I am slamming my gong to let you know that I am in love with their soft buttery biscuits. You’re welcome ring me any time to try any of their offerings. However, there is some cause for alarm as their ordering system is a bit wonky. My friends and I have gotten the wrong order a couple of times, so check your bag before you leave.

Delicious and fresh biscuits in a shop with a very nice personality It is a small place located very close to Times Square. The kitchen is open so you can see what are they cooking. We tried the sweet biscuits for breakfast and they were so good! There is no place to have breakfast there so better to take away and find a coffee close to have them.
