I went to this small store yesterday because I had time to kill and I love stationery/etc. The negatives: the youngish guy working there barely acknowledged my presence, including when I left(and I was the only customer); the floors need a major vacuuming(and especially towards the rear of the store, where it was filthy); and the prices are high. The positive aspect: they have a great selection of lovely notebooks.

I went into this store to purchase a pen. The owner gave me a price then changed the price when I paid for it. He then shortchanged me by $ 1. I sent my husband in to get the dollar back. The owner is a crook. Don’t go to this store.

Dirty, disorganized, and poor customer service. The ultimate trifecta I’ve been searching for! We came in near closing time to get paint and a canvas. The Indian dude made it very clear we were not exactly welcome, he was a rude little b*tch. And very upset when we asked questions. As a bonus the canvas had dirt on the corners but we were desperate and so had to buy it from him. Don’t give this place your money, plenty of other art supply stores around.

As an avid fan of real pencil and paper art, as opposed to digital, this store is a place which provides everything that a big Art Store does but with a flair of a neighborhood location. I give it 5 star to offset the negative reviews, even though there are aspects which can be improved.

I guess they have an assortment of things here BUT everything here hasn’t been sold for who knows how long!!! Was looking for a photo album for a baby shower and what I was potentially going to buy was COVERED in DUST and verrrrrrry OLD! If you want dusty overpriced stationary… This is your one stop shop!!!

The cost of supplies in this store a bit high up compared to other stores. This is one of the only art supplies in the area. Since this is near NYU it’s a great place to get supplies. I went inside and there was only one person there and he was on the phone. I wasn’t even greeted or acknowledged for entering the store. I went around once and just left. On the plus side, the pens are a good price. So if you need a specific pen. They have a huge selection

Stores like these are a dying breed. They have a little bit of everything. Supplies for office, art, sewing, shipping… small paper needs that technology made you forget existed. I love these small places and will continue to support them rather than the big chains. About a block or two from the L train, and a few blocks from Union Square. Awesome!
