I would never really give this chain good rating anyway but wow… the set up of this place is just weird. Register in the middle of the store, complete crap displays and just overall dull. Usually you cant ask workers any questions but they even have someone in the make up center, not isle, who bugs you to try new products. The pharmacist was way too busy to even breathe let alone answer a question. This store doesnt even feel like a duane reade… it looks and feels like a mini section in macys

Who would have expected EXCELLENT service from a drug store but walked in on 10⁄13 about 12:00pm and was greeted at the entrance. The line got busy and the manager stepped in and started taking sales at the self checkout. A very nice experience. Hope they recognize their people.

Pretty clean store, not a lot of traffic. They have seasonal and food upstairs and all the cosmetic/pharmacy usuals downstairs. I was impressed by the neat display of magazines downstairs. Each had its own spot and not mixed in like they usually are. Prices were average, nothing outrageous. The cashier was pleasant. Good for a quick purchase.

Nice new Duane Reade location across from Gramercy Tavern. It’s a newly renovated store with a fresh food section(though it’s not really fresh). They have a decent selection of drinks and a less decent selection of frozen foods in the back on the main floor. Below they have the cosmetics and pharmacy along with other medical needs an necessities including socks, gel insert, s band-aids, tylenol and the likes. The staff here rarely know what’s going on and are often very slow at checking people out, but they never forget to proposition you to join DR Rewards. I’ve had trouble asking where to find certain things from their staff which is disappointing due to the area of Manhattan this is located in, but if they don’t have it or can’t find it, I can head down one block to the Walgreens or up a block to the CVS so there’s always a second option. This is fine for a smaller sized last-minute option in Manhattan but I’d never rely on this for my primary shopping needs as the prices and service are far below what other places offer, but hey, at least it looks purdy.

Just like any old Duane Reade. Same old overpriced items & not nearly as cool as some of the other locations. A reliable stand by if you really need a drug store, though.

I’m not a regular at this store. Only go to buy emergency baby diapers after work. It’s right across from a restaurant I’m a regular at. So I can say much. The store seems small, but organized. Noticed a couple of empty shelves, but it was on the weekend. Both times I found exactly what I was looking for. Cashiers were friendly and offered a «special» bag. No complaints here.

Store #14435 with a recent structural remodel of the floor layout which now contains a food department and beauty and pharmacy within. With a last minute emergency palliative decipher for women’s needs, being in this neighborhood I was able to find what I seek. Aisles are organized and clean bright airy space to navigate. However, as a typical Duane Reade lacks in the choices of brand names and quantity contents per package of women’s hygiene products.
