I had a community membership here for a few months and it’s worth it. Easy Brooklyn commute, lovely views, never had to fight for shared table space. The culture was a nice balance of friendly and focused. I enjoyed escaping my apartment during the summer heat. As others said, John is cool. Also BK Coffee down the block. Oh how I miss easy access to that coffee shop.

Dumbo Startup Labs is a wonderful co-​working place whether you are a freelancer and/​or a small business. John (he runs the place) is a super chill, laid back person. He is there to help you! He knows many people in the area as well as mentors and VCs. Should you have conerns and/​or questions, he addresses them right away.
The office is secured and you get 24⁄7 access. There is a meeting room as well as many open chairs and tables. There is unlimited coffee and John occasionally buys everyone lunch as well.
DSL also hosts events which is a great opportunity to meet new people in the Dumbo and surrounding areas. This is a great co-​working place.

The DSL is a great place to work and a good value for the money. John is an awesome manager and really makes sure everyone is taken care of, and if there are any concerns, he addresses them right away. Nice people, a friendly and comfortable atmosphere with a mix of people doing different things and running their own businesses. It’s also easy to get to. Not much more you could ask for!

I’ve looked at – and been at – many coworking spaces. DUMBO Startup Lab, or DSL as it is fondly called by members, is by far my favorite place to work out of yet. John is an excellent, friendly, and resourceful proprietor. The space is very convenient to get to by mass transit, and trees, water, grass, and amazing food and coffee are all right at your fingertips. I can’t imagine being happier working in another environment!
