I have to say the food hear is very good! However the reason for the two star deduction is they mess up the order frequently. I usually order a BE&C w/SPK and it’s gotten so bad that it would just be eggs and bacon. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good breakfast but check the order before you leave.

I have to give this place two stars because their«regular» bagels are descent. They have many different flavors to choose from such as French toast and other funky ones but they all taste the same. Stick with the originals … Plan to spend at least 15 – 20 minutes waiting in a line of about 3 – 4 people and another 5 for someone to make a buttered bagel, good luck of you are getting lox and cream cheese you’ll be there a while. There is absolutely no sense of urgency regardless or the time of day — rush hour, lunch break or off peak. They are also know for their chicken ridiculous sandwich, I’m sorry to say it’s gross at the Staten Island location(chicken cutlet is old and very oily bacon isn’t the freshest either) Go to dyker heights if you want to enjoy yourself.

Twice I’ve been here and the service is horrible. They have about six or seven people behind the counter and no one acknowledges you when you’re there. I waited over 15 minutes to place an order and decided to leave since I was carrying my two children. Very disappointed!

Awesome bagels but so are a lot of other places nearby. Wait for service is ridiculously long. Too long.

I’m done with them. I use to go to the one in Bensonhurst religiously and always felt like they were falling off. Boy was I right. I walk in there for a half dozen bagels and the clerk is nowhere to be seen. But that’s okay, because about 1000 flies were there to serve me. It looked like there was a insect nest the amount of big and little flies were feasting on all the bagels that are for sale which are never wrapped or covered and out in the open. This made me so sick to my stomach as I’ve ordered multiple times for pickup. God only knows what I’ve ingested. You’d think they’d close the front door that it was wide open revealing the garbage and street. What makes it worse? I told the guy working the counter and he told me «the boss needs to do something about it but he won’t. We’ve told him but he won’t do anything». Good to know. P. S. What’s with all these stores hiring illegal immigrants as well? There’s no neighborhood kids that could use a job? When I was younger all my friends worked at bagel stores and pizzerias. Looks like those days are over. I’m done.

The bagels in this place are delicious. Love the fact that I can sit, relax and enjoy my meal. I usually come in with my mom. She gets a toasted bialy with eggs and I have a sesame with that delicious chocolate chip cream cheese. They also have catering for parties. I had ordered the cream cheese platter with their mini bagels one time, everyone was satisfied… anything mini always tastes great :-) The staff is friendly. I like the fact that most of them are adults, so there’s no fooling around. Feels like a real mom and pop store from back in the day. Place is clean and well kept. So happy to finally have a great bagel store to go to in Staten Island.

Not sure why I didn’t write a review for this place sooner. It’s location is convenient and their selection is nice. Bagels are always fresh and tasty. They do all their food preparation on site. They have about 6 tables where you can sit and enjoy your breakfast or lunch. The coffee is always good and fresh(ice coffee too). I love the olive cream cheese and their cheese Danish are good as well. I have been coming here since they opened. Parking can be a pain in the butt but there are muni meters that free up often.

Nothing special. They have no flat bagels, no bialys and no minis. No reason for me to go back. Royal crown and Panera bread have better bagels.

I’ve been here a few times and it just keeps getting worse with each visit. Today, I walked inside to order a bagel with egg whites and a small drink, which by the way costed $ 6.00. I think that’s a bit much, especially for Staten Island. What do they think this is? Lexington Avenue and 53rd? Their service is pretty bad. It’s such a shame because I went to the store in Dyker Heights for many years and it’s way better. I can’t get used to bad customer service and a store that closes before most people get off the express bus from a long day of work. The guy behind the counter made me repeat my order three times and then gave me an attitude. Really? He’s losing his patience with me when he’s the one who either has no short term memory or is incompetent. Oh and each person that takes your order behind the counter leaves to go cook your food in the back. Who is the bright person that came up with that idea? Yeah… that works. My husband came in once and was accused of not paying right after he did. They tried to make him pay twice for the same order. These people need to get organized and get their act together before they go out of business which I’m pretty certain will happen. There has got be a better bagel store than this one on Staten Island and I intend to find it!

This is by Far the best bagel store on Staten Island. I go every morning like clock work, the staff is very friendly and professional also they are very willing to please and the customer always comes first! Parking is adequate and never a problem! There chicken ridiculous is ridiculously yummy. Always fresh always clean always first in my book on Staten Island!!! They don’t need signs to convince their customers to go there just one bite and you will see no other bagel comes close!!!

Very yummy bagels, first time trying them an I had great customer service a little wait for my food but it was peak hours, everyone rushing for work and school. I’ll Definitely give them another try sometime during the week.

Encouraged at first, then disappointed. With ample seating, I looked forward to my egg bagel with fresh lox. And while initially the offerings appear enticing, in the end my experience amounted to less than the sum of those parts. First, the ups: an egg-onion bagel as well as an egg-everything bagel on offer… nice! Friendly staff: even better. But it’s the details that bring that potential 5-star rating down: — the fresh lox tasted ordinary. It was fresh, just not that great(I’ll often have lox a few times per week, and really good lox stands out) — a request for a pickle slice gets you an entire pickle. Hopefully everyone really really likes pickles for breakfast itself and not just as a garnish — tea selection: green tea, chamomile and good old Lipton. Nothing else? — and the bagel itself: ordinary. Not great, maybe a notch under average. Would I return? No. I’ll try another place, thanks. Frankly, if you just want something ordinary, this place is fine. But I’m thinking there have to be greener pastures elsewhere.

this place was better when 1st opened even though not bad for staten island their pricing seems a little high, my favorite bagel with bacon seems to have gotten smaller and the bacon more chewy which I’m not a fan of

Without any doubt or argument, the make the best bagels on Staten Island. They are always fresh, have a good crunch to the bite and they have a huge variety of toppings. My favorite is the bacon and cheese cream cheese.

The bagels are good but I waited an hour for my food and to only find out they got my order completely wrong. I am allergic to cheese and specifically said no cheese. Now I can’t get off the toilet and I’m dying with pain. Thank you dykerbagels bagels.

These bagels are delicious. Exactly how they should be– crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. I’ve had a bacon egg and cheese and a chicken ridiculous on separate occasions. Both were fresh(made to order), hot and yummy. There is a large selection of different flavored cream cheeses I am looking forward to trying. The line was long and there was a bit of a wait, but for good food it was well worth it.

Good bagels, good egg sandwiches BUT the reason why I gave this place 3 stars is they have the worst system of ordering. If you come here at any time you’re looking at 15 – 20 min wait between waiting on line forever then having to wait for your food to be ready. It’s just a hassle if you are looking for a quick bagel and a coffee. It’s so unnecessary and completely backwards. They need a line cook to make the hot food in the back and just have the counter ppl make cold sandwiches and bagels. Each person who works behind the counter makes all of their own food. It’s far too time consuming and asinine. Maybe when they get a new system I’ll come back but I’ll go down the block to the other bagel store on Seaver and hylan. They pump things out wayyyy faster and have a more efficient ordering system.

Well finally, a bagel shoppe that doesn’t muck-up their bagels. I recently tried you guys out, I must say I was impressed with the quality & consistency of your bagels. Spot on. Islanders tend eat in excess, and a lot places indulge, but that also infringes on quality, thank you Dyker Park Bagels for getting it right. Chef Neal

I live around the corner from this place. Their food is great, great bagels BUT being a food service professional for many years, I can not overlook their terrible customer service! They are unorganized, poorly managed and consistently terrible every time I’m in here. It takes 15 mins of patient waiting before your Even acknowledged, I watch them undercharge and oversell all the time. The owners are definitely missing out on the big bucks they could be making all because of a lack of simple routine. I wish I could whip them into shape. I’d need 2 weeks to make that place what it can and should be. When you have bad service, it doesn’t matter how good your food is! Good service is what gets returning customers!
