Effie is definitely a professional at what she does. She is the most approachable stylists I’ve been with and it has been about a good 5 years and is still going. She is easy to communicate with, which makes a huge difference in the outcome of your hair. Makes the experience as personal as possible and provides recommendations when appropriate.

Effie is amazing! I have been getting my hair done by her for around two years. She’s the only person I trust with my hair. I always get a short cut and platinum blonde. Effie is great with color! Bleaching your hair usually means damage but I’ve never experienced damage under her care. I’ve gotten beige blonde, gray, white and even baby pink with Effie. I have thin hair and she always treats it with care. Go to Effie at Hair Philosophy! You won’t regret it.

Second time visiting Effie and still a happy customer! She was very attentive and I love how she listens to my concerns. Effie was able to then give me her expert, professional, opinion so I will leave the salon with an amazing hairstyle! I had been a redhead for YEARS and I had wanted to do a balayage ombré that did not work since my hair was THAT red. Effie gave me options and discussed how it would change my hair in the future. Great attention to detail! Finally we settled on doing an all over hair color and bleaching my hair to get rid of the red in my hair! I had never gone this light but she was able to baby me into it. I have gotten TONS of compliments so far and I definitely love it! Took NINE hours but she never faltered in her attentiveness, even when she was backed up with other clients (Sorry!). Due to this experience, Effie is still the only hairstylist I go to! LOVE HERRRR!

Effie always gives me a great haircut, has done a great job on color (silvery blue; pink) and gives good advice based on my hair and face shape. She has also fixed a bad haircut I got elsewhere. After having gone to her a handful of times now, I’m hooked.

She’s awesome. Either her personality or her professional skills. She cares about her clients and try her best to give what’s really suitable for them base on her professional analysis. It’s very important that your stylist really concerns about what’s for you. Every time when I ask her why not cut it like this or that; she would explain and analyze to me base on my hair condition or type. Never doubt, results are amazed. That’s why I choose her as my only stylist so many years, and already build up my confidence with her. You’re always the best!

This is my second time here and I want to say Effie she is the best I was cut my hair in LA and it looked really ugly and weird and then Effie she fixed it and it looked better and she did my Japanese straightening too and finally I don’t have to use hair straighter everyday honestly I will pick Effie again when I’m come back and the other employees are really nice too

I got some of fashion and funky hair style from Effie! Every time I come to her she give me surprise! All my friends ask me where I did these color and haircut, I got a lot of praise from my friends.
This time I come to her for the omber style. The last time I see her that my hair color was vibrate purple which effie create for me last time. Since 4 months already I decide to change my hair color and style again. I show some of the long hair ombré style to her, and told her I really wannt my hair to be that kind of feeling. I don’t know how to explain what I really want but Effie seem know what I concern about because my hair is dry and already color two times, but this time I wanna try that bright blond for omber. So after we discuss some of the style, Effie told me I still can try the omber style which I need to take about 2 – 3 hours to finish, because she said she have to spend that much time on me so she can make sure my hair was complete «safe» Thx Effie！
finally we finished hair color painting and gloss then Effie blow dry my hair. I look in the mirror that my hair already beautiful ! I feel very satisfied!!! With another amazing hairstyle created by Effie then I gonna go out this night!!! yeah
