Elizabeth Kavaler, MD

Dr. Kavaler is an unbelievable doctor. I began treatment with her when she was with NY Urological Associates and thank goodness she opened her own practice. The staff did not do justice to her as a doctor because I am sure many people did not return due to the attitude of staff. Aside from her being extremely knowledgeable and experienced in her field, she is one of the most sympathetic doctors I have ever met. She is very caring, always listened to my concerns, never rushed me out, and went above and beyond to make me feel at ease and positive (despite my concerns) and helped with issues that were outside of her scope of «duties» as a doctor. I needed to have a simple test /​procedure performed (non emergency) and asked if it can be done a day earlier. I was told that she will not be in that particular day and as i was getting ready to schedule for next day, Dr. Kavaler came out and indicated that she would do the procedure and make necessary arrangements so that it would be convenient for me because she knew of my situation and the discomfort I was experiencing. I have yet to meet a doctor /​surgeon who would do that for the convenience of a patient due to 1 day wait. Her sympathy is unbelievable. Her staff is also amazing and make you feel at home when you are there, always smiling and you can tell they work well as a team. It is a very relaxed, light, and calm environment, which you cannot say about most medical offices. I am beyond grateful to her and her staff for all they have done for me and the support they have shown me. They also went above and beyond.

I had an appointment with Dr. Kavaler today and thought she was kind, patient and concerned. I also found her to be very knowledgeable and helpful. Although it is a very busy office she took the time to speak with me twice in her office and did not make me feel rushed. I would highly recommend her.

Came to see someone who specialized with female urology but was very disappointed in my visit and experience with her. Rushed, dismissive, unsympathetic. Staff disorganized, uncaring, and also rushed. There are better doctors in the city that specialize with female urology and I would seek them out and avoid this doctor. Waste of time.

Saw Dr. Kavaler on a referral and while she was lovely, the horrific front office staff of NY Urological Associates more than made up for it. After the visit, we had to make countless calls to get results, only to be told to call back. When calling we had to deal with uninformed, RUDE customer service, constantly interrupting me on the phone, putting me on hold unexpectedly, etc etc.
Dr. Kavaler is wonderful — good questions, seemed caring, sharp, all the things you want. But I’m sure there are plenty of other great urologists out there with equally great office staff.
