I have been a loyal customer since they had their shop on 35th street near the Midtown South precinct. Clean establishment, skilled and friendly barbers, along with reasonable prices/​wait times. I have been a client of Boris’ for over 5 years, and his cousin for 10 years before that. My wife likes the way Boris cuts my hair so much that I bring our 5 year old son in on Sundays to get his hair cut. In addition to the haircuts I recommend the shave — they do the hot towel, warm shave cream, and then a straight razor shave that’s so close you don’t have to shave for the next 2 days.

I have been going to Elli’s Barber for approx 5 years, as it is close to my Midtown business. They are wonderful! Boris is my barber (though all the guys are great) and he never lets me down. He is both personal and meticulous. Also, you cannot beat the pricing. The space is always clean. The only downside is that word is out and sometimes there is a wait… but well worth it!

Second experience with this place after a few months, and they seem to be really good! This time I saw Ariel, he hooked me up. Gave some good advice for my hair, and was a very friendly guy. First time I went and saw Simon, he was also just as good. These guys seems to know how to do business and keep the customers happy! Give ‘em a try.

Ariel gave me a superb, super quick hair cut. I didn’t take him more than a minute to figure out what I needed, and boom, 20 minutes later I was out of the door with a fresh goodlooking haircut. Thank you :)

Ellis Barber Shop is the place to go in Midtown, NYC. Very professional team members and it is also clean. I didn’t make an appointment and was sat at a chair after I took my jacket off.
AN AMAZING BARBER: is how I would describe the gentleman who cut my hair yesterday. Ariel.
If you go to Ellis to get a quality cut, ask for Ariel.
If you have questions about different styles etc, Ariel was happy to provide this.
Without a haircut in 5 months, I had no idea what I wanted to do. He showed me several examples of styles & did an amazing job.
Without a doubt I will be returning to Ellis Barber Shop & asking for Ariel again.

Shalom cut my hair. I asked him to shorten it all around; I wanted to be able to style my hair the same way. Now I look like Caesar when my hair isnt styled — but the cut is far too short to push to the side. So I look like Caesar all the time.
I don’t know about you, but bowl cuts and Caesar cuts are the two things that shouldn’t be worn but anyone or cut by any barbers. Even if they ask for it. And I definitely didn’t ask.
After a couple days of walking around looking like a dope I felt about ready to post my feedback. I hope one of his co-​workers shows him the proper way to cut hair soon. Allegedly Elli’s does it right, but definitely not this time.

The barbers are good at what they do, attentive and efficient. They can engage you in conversation but also know when to stop talking and just cut.

Not a fan. The barber did not give me the haircut I asked for and cut my hair way shorter than I specifically asked for. Won’t be returning here which is unfortunate because I work right by it!

Fast cheap and decent. haircut is a 7⁄10 but it’s 10 minutes during a lunch break. They kinda do whatever they want. I say .5 mid fade don’t touch the top. they won’t do what you ask but it look decent. Can’t beat the convenience

Modern shop, just a few steps west of Eighth Ave. Four barbers working on a Monday morning. The guy who helped me was nice enough and did a good cut. $ 17 before the tip. Good value in my opinion.
