My husband bought my engagement ring there over 20 years ago from the original owner, Jack Brod… a truly endearing and sweet man. He spent a considerable amount of time with us and gave us quality service and advice. Since his death, we went there twice since to reset my diamond and, with one exception, that quality touch and good customer service are gone. There is hope, though. We recently went there and a very nice and down-to-earth Peter Feliciano more than made up for the, in my opinion, poor service of the first sales associate who attended to us. To me, she failed to factor in my diamond that, although is a very good color, was not as bright as the side diamonds I picked as a new setting. As a supposed expert in the field, she should have assisted me in making a more appropriate choice. Consequently, when reset, my diamond appeared yellow and I was not pleased at all. When I contacted them a few days later, Peter took over. The company has a 60 day return policy so I was able to exchange the setting for a much more attractive and complimentary setting. This time, Peter took time to help me choose the right setting and even took my diamond out so I could see how it would look in the choices I picked. In order for Empire Diamond to improve, they must seriously step up their level of customer service. Quite frankly, their receptionist needs replacement, too. When we went there to return the unflattering ring, Peter was out of the office but we did not know so, at first, because she had us sit down and then completely ignored us for a good 10 minutes(no one else was there). I had to get up and ask her if we would be attended to and that is when she told us that Peter would be right back. Amazing. I give Peter 5 stars but, overall, I must give the company no more than 2 stars. Add more Peters and you have yourself a winner. The prices and choices are reasonable and many and the company’s reputation is an established one.

I got my fiancées engagement ring there. I took in a photo of what i wanted and selected a nice diamond from their stock. The Good: The ring was amazing — better than the photo i gave them. The workmanship was really evident. A real work of art. We also got a great deal on it as we also bought the diamond from them. The less than good: I think they lost my order at some point and it wasn’t until I chased up the order that it became apparent something had gone awry. The order eventually took way longer then originally estimated. So I would defiantly recommend them if you want a ring made but I would be on top of them at every step to make sure it’s all going smoothly. I am currently getting them to design the wedding band. So far ive had to be on top of them as they are not good about getting back to you if theirs a problem. However, i know the result will be stunning.

I went there twice. The first time I spoke with the owner and he was very helpful and reasonable however since I was undecided on what I want to do he gave me his card and quote. I went back and worked with one of his employees(bold short guy) that was so rude, condescending and with attitude. He tried to low ball me and BS me for 18K4.5dwn /1.5cttw diamond ring nevertheless to say that he quoted the ring with $ 700 less then what the owner estimated. All I can say if he is employed by such a nice guy and misrepresents the company he should be out unemployed. I am not ever going back there!

Took some old jewelry here. Got a fair price from honest people. Recommended.
