Came here after reading Unilocal reviews. Not sure what kind of sorcery this shop employs — but I got links removed from 2 watches in 5 minutes. Paid and out the door. Very friendly. And they were super busy too.
Will be coming here for battery replacements and such from now on. Best experience on UWS thus far.
$ 9.50 to get the watch band adjusted. Not bad at all.

Fundamentally dishonest. They are liars and sneaky. First time, I thought it was an honest mistake. Second time, I learned to avoid this store.

I had three watches that needed a new battery. I went to Ernesto’s and within 10 minutes, all three watches were fixed.
I paid less than $ 40.
I highly recommend this place, this will be my go-​to jewelry fixer-​upper-​place.
Great service, super professional, they even called me, «Ms. Kim.» Which is so weird for me, because I’m only addressed by my last name at work. Either way, I thought it was a very nice touch.

Great, friendly staff and reasonably priced. They’ve been a neighborhood stand-​by for many years. And, the distinctive feature is their fabulous design work. Outstanding work on both creation of a piece or re-​work of something you already own.

This is a great place. The best thing they do, besides the usual batteries for watches and jewelry repair is DESIGN. Ernesto has created the most gorgeous rings for me — one a ring my mother gave me that wasn’t flattering — he redesigned it and it’s gorgeous. One, he used the center of a Victorian ring, which was platinum, and added diamonds that were my mother’s and I have a terrific mix of old and new and wear this ring almost every day. One of a kind. Then, he took a 14K gold charm and added more of my mother’s diamonds and made a fabulous chai charm that is a knockout on a gold chain I already had. He has such a great imagination. Go through your jewelry and pick out things that are family pieces or those you never wear. He’ll create something fabulous! He has real vision and is wonderfully artistic.

After treating myself to a mani/​pedi, I decided to get my jewelry spruced up a bit. A quick Unilocal search lead me to Ernesto’s.
They were able to steam my rings no problem, and just for a few dollars. The staff could not have been friendlier.
While their selection is small, I did like the look of a lot of pieces they had. Great location if you are on the UWS, however it’s located inside the doorway at their address on Broadway, so walk slow or you could miss it!

I took in 3 watches that needed new batteries that I hadn’t used in many months and needed to adjust my Rolex band. Despite the place being busy, I was in and out of there in about 10 minutes. Everyone was professional and courteous and their prices were very reasonable. Not one minute did you feel you would get ripped off here in a city where there are many shady jewelers and watch repair places. Highly recommend this place.

Good place, they were professional and courteous. I took about 13 watches to get the battery replaced — they did it in 15 mins. I’d go back.

I had minor repairs twice at Ernesto’s recently. and both times they were extremely gracious and efficient. The first time my metal watch band became warped and didn’t «click» any more. I went to the store to see if they have a replacement. They didn’t but fixed the problem in no time, saving me money and time looking for another watch band. It only costed $ 3. The second time I had to have an earring clasp fixed, and again it was fixed in no time and they didn’t even charge me. I would highly recommend Ernesto’s for the service.

I had a great experience with Ernesto’s. I needed to have a new bracelet attached to my Michele watch, and he was able to get the specific pins for it and attach it. His prices were the same as what I have seen for similar work, but more convenient for me since this was near my apartment.

Great group of professionals and family run business that never disappoint. I’ve been going to Ernesto’s for many years and recently bought an engagement ring here, and even in a rush, the craftsmanship was incredible. I will continue to recommend Ernesto’s Jewelry to my friends and family.

I needed batteries replaced for two watches. I walked in, handed them the watches, and they were done within a few minutes. I decided to return in 30 minutes. The woman was courteous and gave me the ticket for my order.

I have used Ernesto’s twice in the past few years and find them totally overpriced for mediocre work. I guess I went back hoping for a change. Never again.

I’m an easygoing guy, so when I walked into Ernesto’s last Saturday with 2 silver rings to be resized and was asked, «When would you like these back?» I thought it would be best, since I was not in a particular rush to have the work done, to ask the representative when THEY would be able to have the rings ready. I was told that the rings would be ready on Thursday, and received a slip stating that the work was «promised» to be completed on that date.
Thursday at 5:15 I walked into Ernesto’s, only to be told that my rings were being polished and it would be another 10 minutes’ wait to get them. This was followed, 15 minutes later, by an indifferent representative telling me that one ring was not ready yet, because «Mother’s Day (the day after I dropped off my rings) was busy.» Personally, as someone who worked 12 years in professional kitchens, I do not abide business as an excuse for tardiness in getting work done, particularly considering that Ernesto’s could have told me they’d have the work done in a week if they were worried they could not live up to their commitments. Barring that, since they had my phone number on my work receipt, they could have easily telephoned me and saved me a trip if they cared about me as a customer. I was then billed for the entire job, even though only half the work was done, and told to «try and come back some time tomorrow.»
I will do just that, but it will be the last time I step into Ernesto’s Jewelry as a customer. I was deeply unimpressed with their customer service.

This place is awesome and the only place I now go to for any watch repairs. They are very welcoming at the store and don’t rip you off like some of the other places I’ve been to. Highly recommended!

I used to love Ernesto’s. No more. Took one of my favorite watches with the watch hands not moving. Came all the way from Brooklyn. They took the watch and never called me when it was done. Finally i called nearly two weeks later and they said it was ready and waiting for me over a a week. Then when i came to pick up they couldn’t find it somehow. Finally located.
Within two weeks the watch stopped keeping time and watch hand fell off altogether. When i called to tell them i would bring it back, they kept saying that i hadn’t paid the expensive rehaul $ 100 charge to fix it properly. I said it was fixed and expected it to stay fixed for at least two week! Finally brought it back. They still talked about how i should have spent more money if i really wanted a working watch. They took it and fixed it in 10 minutes (who knows how long it will work) but kept telling me i must have dropped the watch.
Customer service really deteriorated since i came years ago. Bad attitude — blaming the customer always terrible tactic.

Efficient and quick service for a great price. Although the adjustment my watch needed was quite simple, I could hear other customers raving about what wonderful work they had done on their jewelry while I was there waiting. Happy campers all around!

Had a great experience at this place! The staff was very friendly, attentive, and the service was fast and very reasonably priced. I had a guard placed on my ring, had it cleaned, and had a watch battery replaced all for under $ 25!
Will definitely be back if I need additional work done.
