Hmmm nuked pancakes for only 8 bucks– I’m surprised they went rubbery so quickly — we know who won this one — the bathroom !!!

I dropped in here for breakfast with my parents, in fact we are still here. This place is really low quality in terms of food but the reason I’m giving it only one star is because of the service. They forgot to give us one of the things we ordered, and when we asked for it the server said«you look like you have enough.» After pressing her she reluctantly gave us the item we had already paid for, and several minutes later came by and tried to take it away, saying«if you aren’t going to eat this I’ll give it to someone else!» Which I believe is a health code violation. I certainly won’t be coming back after that experience, which frankly put me off my food. The food itself was really very unremarkable verging on bad, so overall I see no reason to return.

Worst customer service of any NYC café. Staff is having casual conversation while the line is 6 deep, and then looks at you like you are interrupting. The manager seems to be fine with the lack of service, based on seeing him stand there never intervening. You will never here anyone in there ask«NEXT». For NYC I cant believe they have lasted this long!

Our office orders delivery at least once a week from here — for years. One great idea with their on line order form — you can separate the food and the bill by person! So much easier to divvy up the bill at lunch. Smart! They are so fast with delivery(no matter the season), the temperature of the food is always as it should be — and delicious, and they have never«messed up» our order. Also, the delivery people are wonderful, friendly, professional, and always happy! Today we had a last minute«catering» emergency at our office! With a two hours«prep» time Europa Café delivered a beautiful sandwich, salads, iced teas and cookie spread for our meeting. They even brought a table«cloth»(!) and helped arranged the food on the table! Everything I could ask for was included. And, they showed up 15 minutes early — on a 95 degree day — that’s HUGE!!! Thank you and Bravo for excellent service.

The salad menu states that the olive oil and balsamic vinegar salad dressing choice is «extra virgin olive oil» but when the man making my salad had to refill the«olive oil» container, the container clearly read in large letters, «75% canola oil 25% olive oil». I asked the friendly cashier to speak to the manager but only the assistant manager was available. He wouldn’t speak to me. Before hearing one word out of my mouth, he looked me in the eye and rudely told me that I would need to come back tomorrow and turned his back. Very strange. There are way too many places to eat around here for this false advertising and horrible customer service.

I went there with a friend yesterday in mid-morning, after we’d attempted going to the Starbucks around the corner which some reviewers had mentioned as being large(which it most definitely isn’t, plus the fact that the blasting music was miserable). This place has a TON of seating and we were able to sit there for a long time. I only got a small coffee(a bargain at $ 1.49 plus tax) and it was just«fair», but the seating situation plus the two friendly young women working there were big plusses.

HORRIBLEAVOIDATALLCOSTS! I ordered from them the day before and the service wasn’t that bad so I did it again today on Sunday. I ordered a simple orange juice and omelet. They didn’t deliver the orange juice so i called up just informing and asking if i can cancel. Right away the girl said she’d have’ him’ talk to me, didn’t explain why just shoved some guy on the phone. Right off the bat he was nasty and when i asked him not to speak or raise his voice to me, he claimed he did it because i was… which i wasn’t(and trust me that’s rare for me). I then asked for his name and he refused claiming he didn’t have to tell me. I am so disgusted i can’t even eat the omelette they DID send me. Avoid this place, they are nasty, they don’t care about their customer and they will use sick excuses like claiming you are being nasty to them for them to be nasty to you. AVOIDAVOIDAVOID! I will make sure I never order from ANY of the Europa Cafes if this is the type of disrespect they allow in their establishment.

I think the rating of 3⁄5 is accurate. This was a good spot on a Saturday to take a break from shopping. At 2pm, we were able to get a healthy lunch in a cafeteria style restaurant. When you walk in there are a few different stations you can go to(pasta, sandwiches, soups, drinks, etc.) We opted for the salad station where you can grab a container of greens(small for $ 3.25 or large for $ 4.25). You hand the container of greens to the person who will make your salad and they mix in whatever additions you want and hand the container back to you with your salad. Neat idea! There is a list of ingredients on the board which not only shows how much they each cost but also how many calories they have. Cool! Lots of 50 cent options like beets, carrots, etc and then more expensive options like cheeses, avocado, chicken, shrimp, etc. There is then a selection of various dressings to choose from, again, with all the calories listed. Definitely makes you think twice on what you are ordering! My hubby and I went for a large spinach and small kale container. We asked if we could split the greens but have different toppings and we could. I went for beets, egg whites, jack and cheddar cheese and raspberry vinaigrette. I wanted avocado but the person ahead of us took the last serving. Darn! That is why I opted for the cheese instead. My hubby got hard boiled egg, grilled chicken, jack and cheddar cheese and some extra virgin olive oil as his dressing. Total for both salads was $ 14.15 and we got some free water since we were«dining in». There is a main checkout where you pay and then you find yourself a seat. Salads were yummy. The service was decent and we were able to find a spot to sit. There is also a washroom to use(just one though). Nothing fancy but hit the spot so that we could fill our bellies, give our feet a break and then keep shopping :) Enjoy!

Situation: 3.5 Stars. Sometimes in the mornings I’ll have a really bad craving for a bagel smothered in cream cheese, and when times like these strike, I head on over to the Europa Café near my office. PROS –Good bagels: While I haven’t tried enough bagel places in the city to really claim any sort of authority on the matter, the bagels at Europa are pretty good. There is a wide selection of bagels, running from your plain to your sesame to your everything. They pop your bagel into the toaster and then put a generous dose of your choice of spread, then wrap it in foil so that it’s still that perfect toasty warm when you open it and take the first heavenly bite. –Ample seating: While I can only speak for this location, there was plenty of seating, which could be handy when meeting up with someone or sitting down to enjoy a quick breakfast before heading off to work. –Staff is always reasonably polite. CONS –None that jump out at me. In a nutshell… It’s a chain café, so don’t expect anything super special. But if you’re peckish for a bagel, give it a go!

Another midtown option for quick cheap Eats… Bad customer service at one of my staple eateries forced me to wander into this place. Like a clean, fresh cafeteria for suits…

It’s a pricy but convenient place for to go to for breakfast. They have a healthy selection of yogurts and fruits, as well as omelettes with your choice of 3 ingredients and your usual breakfast special of eggs and bacon with home fries(have yet to try, but excited to soon). I also enjoy their carrot cake and cappuccino. Their pasta lunch special(which you can customize to include veggies, meat and cheese) was a bit too much for me portion-wise, but if you’re looking for a heftier alternative to the create-your-own-salad lunch specials around the city, dig in.

Not my dream place to eat lunch but it was in the area and I was exhausted. I had the penne pasta which they heat up in a pan in front of you and you can add vegetables or meat in with the pasta and sauce of your choice. You can also top it off with toppings, however an extra $ 1.50 for some mozzarella and no option for parmesean? Is this NY or what? Hello? Service was a little off, I had to ask«is this where I order» because I was stared at for a bit. I avoided the veggies as they looked a little wilted and not so fresh. My penne alla vodka was fine and the portion was good but a bit pricey if you ask me. I give it 3 stars because it wasn’t terrible, it’s just a quick on the go lunch place, it’s nothing to go out of your way for but it’s nothing to fear if you need to stop someplace either. So right on the line at 3 stars seems fair to me.

This review is for our girl, Andrea! Jason M. and I were full from our din din and of joy from our engagement. We needed some fuel to get us around the city. So we stopped at the next coffee shop which happened to be Europa Café. I was just simply ordering when Andrea complimented my dress. Since I was still on Cloud 9, I casually told her that I just got engaged. Even though I never met her before, she gushed over us as if she was my BFF or little sister! She insisted that she treat us to a coconut cupcake. She exuded warmth. Even though they closed the shop after our purchase, she wanted us to stay and enjoy our coffees and cupcake. She even brought her smartphone and played some Aaliyah music for us. She even wanted to come to our wedding. I gave her a big hug. Andrea brightens your day! If you are grumpy and live and work in NY, go to Europe Café. If you are lucky enough to have her make your coffee, you come out happy! Europa Café, if you are reading this, Andrea deserves a BIG raise!

This is a special Unilocal shout out. Andrea [pronounced«on-DRAY-ah,» not sure of the actual spelling] is our new best friend. My fiancée Lesley Q. and I had just gotten engaged hours ago, and we desperately needed some iced coffee to keep our busy day going. Andrea made a casual comment about Lesley’s dress, after which we immediately told her we just got engaged [total fish for compliments]. Andrea was just absolutely lovestruck by our engagement… she was just so excited for us. She insisted on giving us a free cupcake. She also let us stay in the store for a few minutes after closing to enjoy our iced coffees and cupcake while they cleaned up. She even took out her smartphone and played some music for us to help us celebrate our special day. What a gal. Lesley insisted on a hug, which Andrea roundly deserved. She’s definitely one of the characters we’ll never forget on our engagement day.

Great lunchtime spot to go and grab some delicious pasta for just $ 8. The portion was generous for a lunch order. You MUST get here before the 12:30pm crowd rushes through the doors or it will ruin your lunch experience.

The«other» Europa Café which is a 3 minute walk from another Europa Café. I just got a bagel there. The usual, nice staff, good bagel. More of the same, though no complaints. Don’t know what lunch looks like in there.

A late morning’s breakfast following an appointment nearby where a small fruit salad at $ 2.75 and one large chocolate chip cookie at $ 2.95 foots the bill and stomach. Dinning space is clean with an abundant seating of a good selection of sandwiches. There is one facility which is relatively clean. Europa Café will surely sustain Midtown executives’ coffee and lunch fix.

It’s close and it’s right there. They’ve started offering pre-made salads which are surprisingly not too bad in terms of the price/quality/quantity tradeoff. Cupcakes(holidays) are really cute, but in terms of taste you’d be better off going to the Crumbs down the block. But, in terms of convenience and«in your face» the desserts are doable. Oh yeah, expect to face huge crowds in the am and lunchtime rush hour. Some table seating if you are looking for a place to rest your weary legs.

I feel kind of weird rating this place based on one small order, but the person in front of me ordered an iced coffee, and then I ordered the exact same thing. Mine was a totally different shade of brown and in too large of a cup. I also had to add a bit of sugar before the«meh» coffee taste went away. The areas for adding sugar and whatever else also get crowded quite quickly.
