This place is Horrible i can say and so unprofessional, first of all this place is called east village dental they changed owners its no longer called«family dental center». I was called for an interview to work as a front desk and the girl that interviewed me(olga) told me to go in Friday the very next day for training. I was there for 9 hours. When my shift was over i tell the olga girl i see you on Monday she comes and tell me no come in on Wednesday for training(which i found very odd because i can easily forget what i had learned on Friday) she told me she wanted me to go a day that is slow for i can get trained better. I even missed opportunities of jobs and interviews waiting for Wednesday to hit. Everyone told me that it sounded strange and unprofessional So i called Tuesday to confirm that I’m going in on Wednesday, olga didn’t know what to say and said she was going to call me back. I already knew something was up. I hear a voice message on my phone saying that she no longer needed me that she had found a person with dental experience. SOUNPROFESSIONAL. imagine me showing up seeing a new person working and to find out they don’t need me. Thanks god i called the day before because i would’ve been pissed. She even forgot i was going in on Wednesday thats how unprofessional that spot is. NEXTTIME if you need a person to work for you make sure you write that you need a person with EXPERIENCE and don’t waste peoples time. THANKYOUUU !

face it, person who gave them one star, you’re poor. That means: you surmount rude or indifferent receptionists, you ASK which dentist is the best, you get there EARLIER than your appointment, and things will probably work out, tooth repair wise. I got this bad 30 something Russian guy a few years ago and he was glib and i needed root canal after he yanked out my mercury filling. THEN I got the russian woman who runs the clinic, she was great, then the young Indian woman who of course was so stellar she moved on after her clinic time, and last time I got a gentle young asian american man who was just fine. why am i assigning all these dental workers nationality? I don’t know, it seems pertinent somehow. maybe because if you just stay in one spot on avenue A the whole world will show up at some point, and if they feel like fiixing your teeth, its mostly a favorable turn of events.

I’ve been a patient here for a couple years, and every single time, the lady that cleans my teeth(hygenist? Not the dentist.) tries to upsell me on a $ 200 «deep cleaning,» not covered by insurance. My fiancé’s dad is a dentist and he insists that I do not actually need this special treatment and that they are trying to scam me. But then the dentist comes in and doesn’t mention it, which is weird, considering the uncomfortable pressure I’ve received each time to have this procedure done. The first dentist I had there was a lady and she was fine and then I went back recently and it was a kid clearly just out of dental school. I’m sure he’s competent I just wished I had been made aware of the staff change. Anyone else have this experience here?
