Fountain House

This place is one of the first clubhouses for people with mental disorders. It is a famous and well respected establishment. There is an art gallery on 9^th ave that showcases the artwork of people with these disorders. The exhibits change regularly and the art is truly outstanding and superb. I have never seen an exhibit here that did not excite me. If you are in the market for some great work, this is the place. The prices are really reasonable and supportive of non professional artists with a disability. The current exhibit is entitled, «Is white a color?» How inventive is that? Look for the wall compostion called «White Trash.» A great compostion.
The staff here is warm, friendly and helpful.
