This place was disgusting, we went in here looking for something good to eat so me and my bf ordered bacon burger with fries, it was done very quick we sat down to eat it and it literally tasted like a school burger, cold and soggy, it didnt even have bacon, the fries were cold and super skinny. Never going back to this this ever again. Terrible food. Now i know why it was empty when we walked in. Don’t go here and save your money !!

Lady at the counter was very rude and nasty. I ordered a California wrap but asked for it without cheese and peppers and she charged me $ 12 instead of the $ 7 that was listed on the menu. Then she yelled at me and told me I had to get the other ingredients for it to be $ 7. Made absolutely no sense. The wrap was mediocre.

I ordered bagels and lox this morning. Ever have a «bagel» when you’re staying in a motel in the midwest? Well if you long for that, this is your place. We ordered sesame, egg bagels, bialy, and a half lb of lox. I’ve already told you about the quality of the bagels. The lox came as a LARGEFROZENBLOCK. Literally. The bialys were also clearly frozen and not fresh. This is New York, there are other options, don’t waste your calories here.

Horrible service from the cashier lady. Very rude and threw at me my debit card. The food was disgusting and burnt, literally threw it away. Cheap on napkins lol. My first and last time coming here.

The cashier demanded an additional 75c after settling our bill and giving a generous tip because the cream cheese contained scallions. If there was such a huge discrepancy, they should have asked/clarified at the time of sale. To top it off the cream cheese was flavorless and the bagels were mediocre.

Cashier is fucking rude and their bagels aren’t even that good. She told us to shut up even though we weren’t loud. Hope this place gets replaced by something better. Just go to bagel express 2

10% off if you’re a hunter student. The old man I’m guessing who’s the owner is very nice and the workers who make the food are amazing. However the lady is totally rude!!! I was on an important phone call and she told me shhhhh and rudely told me turn everything off. I wasn’t even talking loud and also everyone else was talking. Why did she have to call me out like that! I’m giving it two stars because the food is average nothing special. Food wise it’s okay I mean with the price you pay you get what you paid for.

Is it really so hard to understand the concept of being nice and polite to your customers? I ordered a wrap with extra bacon, the woman asked what I ordered, I told her, and then yells at me for not telling her I ordered extra bacon(even though I did) and charges me for it. You never yell at a customer for your own mistake and you certainly don’t charge them for it either. Service was quick, the guy who took my order was nice, and the sandwiches are cheap, but I will not be coming back. Also, they give a discount to Hunter College students ONLY, no other students.

Quick service, great bagels, great workers. The bagels are thin, soft, and pliable. The perfect bagel!(Bagel did not scratch the top of my mouth)

In comparison to the other delis I have been to, this place is the worst. Pros: –close to hunter — food prepared quickly –nice cooks — 10% hunter student discount Cons: — overpriced: a small juice is 1.79. A small cookie is 85 cents¿¿? I can go to subway and get a better deal with better quality cookies. A small 1 dollar can of juice is 2.25. — rude cashier: the red headed older woman served 3 people before me, even though i was next. –smelly –bagels are not even gourmet. If you are pressed for time, STILLDONOTCOMEHERE. The cashier is rude. She yelled at me because i couldn’t understand her heavy Russian accent and kindly asked her to repeat herself.

The place smells awfully bad, so when you come out, you smell like fried foods. I went in to get an egg sandwich and an iced coffee. The bagels were totally burnt, I could only imagine how hard they were.(I ended up opting for a roll with my eggs.) I asked for the roll buttered, that didn’t happen. When I went to check out, the woman was on her cell phone, so I was standing in that STENCH for about 3 extra minutes before I was able to check out. When I ordered the iced coffee, I asked for a little bit of skim milk. She ended up putting ½ ice, ¼ WHOLE milk, and ¼ coffee. So much for my morning jolt! All in all, I suggest saying little ice, and BLACK iced coffee if you don’t want too much. It was like drinking coffee flavored milk, YUCK.

This place has pretty good bagels and is a quick morning option. Egg breakfasts here are consistently good but the homefries could be better. I like that I see a regular staff here every day and they are always professional and kind. Thank you for a quick, efficient experience every morning!

Misleading name. Bagels were average to above average; however, the meat did not taste fresh and the lettuce was extremely cheap iceberg shavings. Pair that with a rude cashier. Did not have a good experience. Would try again for just a quick bagel with cream cheese.

Definitely not gourmet, but the tuna sandwich was actually very tasty. The workers are very nice, but that lady at the front cash register is not helpful or nice — also, they had some Chinese lady hawking DVDs in the store while I was there. Can’t Knock the Hustle I guess. The bagels are not even that fresh either! I don’t get it. Step ya game up Gourmet Bagel, step it up.

Choose this place for my morning bagel stop because I saw reviews for tofu cream cheese. Sure enough, they have a handful of tofu cream cheeses, including plain, veggie, sun dried tomato, and scallion. The bagels themselves are not that special. Just your average bagel but smaller than some of the monstrous New York bagels I see. I actually prefer the smaller size. If you’re craving something besides bagels, they have egg sandwiches, fresh fruit and veggie juices and various wraps and sandwiches. They also have free delivery which is good to know for future lazy days!

Ordered a Western Omelette Platter. No doubt the omelette was delicious but it took forever for the man to cook it. He also forgot the toast that was suppose to come with the meal but I’ll let that slide… Anywho, since this place is very inexpensive for a breakfast meal, I’d come back. I just wish they would move a bit faster especially when it’s the morning rush. I literally saw 3 people leave the store because the man took so long to cook the food/take orders.

As a Hunter College student, I must say… I’m very upset I never saw that sign on the front that says 10% discount for Hunter College students! Uh, hello, 10% is still something, haha. So I told my friend to show the cashier her student ID and the cashier had already input the price, she was obviously annoyed and made a comment that you have to show ID before hand and let her know before she puts it in the register, my bad, my mouth isn’t that quick. But anyways… A little pricey, I understand we’re on Lexington Avenue but there’s really no reason I should be paying $ 8 for a sandwich… alone. Like really? Okay, so the guys who prepare salads are very nice and patient, I’m really crazy when it comes to how little dressing I want, I literally want like a drop of dressing… and they get it right! Again $ 8 for a salad… eh well, the fact that you can literally put every ingredient in it is alright I suppose. Really a get in and get out kind of spot. Gets really packed during lunch hours but staff moves quick.

I order for delivery here every week. Bagels are so good here not to soft, not too hard, big and fluffy just how I like it! They usually deliver very quickly which is great for when I am feeling ravenous on a Sunday morning. One sunday at 8am they were out of plain bagels, which was bizarre. Other than that one time, I’ve never had an issue. Also I enjoy their coffee, there is just something about it I dig.
