Jean Bloc (HairTheatrix) cut my hair for years when I was living in the city. She always gave me perfect cut that lasted for months. I Jean even did my hair for my wedding and made me beautiful! Then I moved out of the city and stopped using Jean. Well, I am back with because no one knows how to cut long, wavy layered hair as well as Jean. She is an expert. She is experienced. She is always ready, you never wait, and she’s just a great gal to be around.
A great haircut everytime, without worry. That’s rare. Highly recommend.

Jean has moved her business, but her number is still the same. She and Gisele are simply one of the best hairstyling teams in the city. Jean used to do all the wigs for SNL, but she’s now «pre-​retiring» but sticking with styling us laypeople. My mom and I have been getting our hair done here for at least twelve years, and the experience has always been great. She’s got a relatively flexible schedule, but call a few days early AND DON’T BE LATE (she HATES that.) She’s done everything from perm and dye my mom’s hair, give me light trims, or fix my mane after a bleach-​related disaster. The most recent haircut I got was layered. At first I was really upset because I thought she’d cut off more than I’d have liked (though it still looked fine), but two weeks later once my hair had grown into it it looked AMAZING. Like best haircut I’ve ever had. HIGHLY recommended.
