I called and placed my phone order at 11:30. They claimed delivery would be within 30 minutes. At 12:30 I called to find out how much longer it would take to receive food, and this is when I’m told that the restaurant has been closed. They had my number. Why didn’t they call to let me know… rather than have me sit here waiting for food that would never come? Ughhhh

Delivery: I placed a deliver order through Beyond Menu, there version of Grub Hub today at 1:29pm for lunch. They have «deliver by what time» function. I request 2:10pm.
I called the resturant at 2:00pm asking if my order left, I was told YES. By 2:30pm I was starving! so I called and cancelled… you would think this is the end of the transaction.
I called Beyond Menu and they refunded my cost, also informed me that they will contact the resturant, which they did by telling me «they do not know where the disconnect happen.
I received my refund and continued on to a local resturant.
NOW, it’s 7:34pm and I receive a call from an unknown number. The man said «I am here with your delivery. I told him… Why are you delivering now? Can’t you see no one is there!!! He said «I just received your order and was told to deliver it. I told him… That fish is rancid !!! You eat it!
Then hung up…
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTURANT!

I really enjoy the food from this place. It’s the only Haitian restaurant in Harlem that I know of. But it gets the job done! I’ve had the griot several times and the snapper and legume and pâté– ok I’ve had just about everything on the menu. Clearly I come here a lot bc it’s good food that reminds me of home.
The portions are large. I always have left overs for 2 – 3 meals. The griot and rice and beans are really good and I thoroughly enjoyed the red snapper both fried and in sauce. The pates are good but not great. They’re good for a quick bite but nothing worth writing home about.
Delivery can take a while. Ive waited anywhere from 20min to an hour +. I think it depends on what you order and who they have for delivery. My advice is to play with your order at least and hour before you need it. I’ve eaten at the restaurant and had delivery. Overall I enjoy this place.

the patties were made of so much dough and so little fish/​beef, that it took literally 20 bites to taste any meat. everything else was mediocre at best. definitely wont be my choice next time im feeling too lazy to go out or cook (everyday)

Really glad I found this gem in my hood. I love the fried goat and the rice and beans. Not the best service, but everyone is helpful and friendly. The food is excellent, I eat here at least once a month.

Someone tried to leave a comment calling me a princess stating that the people who work there are over worked… And I should be embarrassed by my post… They should reflect accurate deliver times. We are paying for a service.

Food is amazing, staff is so friendly! Owner is adorable. Had beef stew with vegetables, accra and rum cake! All was delicious!

The service was horrendous!!! I was extremely patient with the staff. It took 2.5 hrs for me to receive my order. It was cold! And the staff never communicated with me the status of my order even though I called them continuously. My advice to you don’t order delivery. Pick up or dine in because the concept of customer service eludes this staff!

I wish they could get their act together putting the customer first. I called to order two items, and actually told them the order then was on hold for over 20 minutes waiting to pay over the phone. I ended up hanging up because I couldn’t believe how rude they were. They need a few lessons in customer service.

This food is damn good. I’ve ordered stewed chicken and oxtail — meat is fall off the bone and so moist and rich. Rice and beans packs as much flavor as any in town. It’s homestyle cooking.
And damn cheap. For 20 bucks, my boyfriend and I are full with smiles on our faces.
Service isn’t perfect. A little slow and amateurish. If they get their service act together and get the word out, customers will be coming from surrounding neighborhoods.

I’ve ordered from here a couple of times, and it was honestly amazing. It’s genuine Haitian food. I order griot (fried pork shoulder) and legumes (stewed vegetables and beef) and oxtail soup. The food was great! I didn’t give it 5 stars because I found it to be a bit expensive for food that I KNOW is cheaper because I am from Haiti. But I guess with NYC rent and what not they have to charge this much, but I’ve just had cheaper. I paid about $ 50 for 2 and a half meals. (I did have left overs to last 2 more days though! Lol)

Food is great here. Not as good as my mom but really good. Love how authentic the food is. Wish they worked a bit more on their presentation but overall the quality of the is great. I would recommend on your first time getting the fried pork and rice and peas. My girlfriend and I come by here about once a week and really enjoy it each time.

Great Haitian food in a great location in Harlem. And I like the layout of the place as well. There are not many good Haitian food restaurant’s around but this is definitely one of them. Great food all around.

I ordered for delivery. I called the restaurant at the end of the delivery window that Grubhub gave me. The restaurant told me my food was out for delivery and it didn’t arrive for another 45 minutes at least! It crept up on two hours. On top of that, one of the items I ordered was not included. The food I finally got was pretty dry with mediocre flavor.

I’ve never had Haitian so I was intrigued. The fried goat and fried plantains were OK. I enjoyed the black rice and the hot sauce served with it
The service however was slow, which was really frustrating and I almost walked out because it took so long for me to make my order. But the food came out quickly.
If you’re in the neighborhood though, this place is worth checking out

Decided to walk Into the new addition to my neighborhood. We decided on take out so we chose what we wanted and waited while it was prepared to take home
We ordered the steam fish, rice and beans and plantains combo. We waited over 30 minutes for the food! Ridiculously long for take out
Once the food was ready she forgot to give us the drinks that came with our meal. At home already we did not feel like walking back over two drinks
Overall the food was good but they need to work on time management. There is no reason a customer waiting for takeout should wait over 30 minutes

Not sure what happened to other reviewers who ordered delivery. My delivery was prompt and delivered with a smile. Food arrived hot and within the hour. I ordered the oxtail special along with the sour sop and was quite impressed. I had low expectations based on the bad reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors of the food and drink.
I will return to see if it was a one time fluke or if they are consistent.

This is the worst Haitian food I have ever had in New York City or Brooklyn. The order came in wrong. The food was cold and not well prepared. There is no way that anyone who claims to be Haitian, knows Haitian people, cares about the isle of Haiti, or cares about their appetite should chose to order anything from this place. Never again. Definitely requesting a refund from GrubHub for this mistake of a restaurant. Horrible fish and horrific goat. NOPE!
How do you mess you fish, goat, and stewed beef? Try this place and find out. You cannot call yourself a Haitian if you think this food is passable.
