Wake me up when the food’s here. Slow service. Simple Sunday brunch took close to 2 hours! We want to be in and out!!! Head up to corner of 57 Street across from WCBS you will probably get better service, food, and happier servers. Hudson Eatery do have awesome french fries and burgers! H/​E does have good price with or without Groupon. Won’t be back.

I read the mediocre reviews of this place but was like well it’s nearby to where I’m going and I should try it for myself. I wish I had trusted all the mediocre reviews. The only redeeming thing about this place is that the food is actually not bad but really the service is just so horrendous that you shouldn’t go. I could go into extreme detail about how horrible the service is but I don’t really want to re-​live it. This place either needs to change management or hire a new manager/​hostess/​server. There’s really no reason you should go here otherwise.

My experience of this place was good!
The food was cook well, very delicious and well presented. The décor was nice and the location was good but not much of a view! Not much street parking but tons of lots in the area.

I had a very nice experience at this restaurant. I went during lunchtime on a weekday. The atmosphere was pleasant, as was were the staff. I also loved the presentation of the food as well as how the food tasted. Prices were average for lunch.

Dropped my daughter and her friend at a concert at terminal 5. Used ParkWhiz to park my car, $ 18, what a deal. Having dinner at Hudson Eatery. We were met at the door and seated by a very friendly host and he was also our waiter. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant to make a very nice evening. The décor was a little outdated but still pleasing. When we sat down there were quite a few people at the bar. A good place to have dinner or meet for drinks. I would recommend this restaurant.

I went here for lunch expecting to have a decent experience. I walked in and stood at the podium and asked for a menu. The employee lacked eye contact passing a menu. She never smiled. She just seemed like she didn’t want to be there or be bothered. I ordered the chicken piccata and was charged 18.51 for white rice with carrot shavings and bland chicken. No capers and no lemon sauce. I get my food to go and get back to work to find that I have no napkin or eating utensils. Bad experience overall. Bad food and bad service. However, I ordered a cupcake at the H Bake Shop located in the same building and they were extremely polite and the red velvet cupcake was the best I ever had. They actually made my day better.

I haven’t eaten here before.
The first time, it was after the Christina Perri concert and I had to pee. So I rushed in and the host let me use their bathroom even without buying anything. OMFG THANK YOU. (FYI Bathrooms are super clean here.)
So, I felt like I should actually stop in and give them some business after their kindness. Before the Meghan Trainor concert (okay, people, stop laughing), we decided to stop in since it was next to where I parked. The place was packed with other concert go-​ers aka 10 year olds.
No biggie. We tried to find space at the bar but the manager/​host said they had no more space left and offered us one of their cute booths and he said he’d give us the Happy Hour Special pricing anyways. YAY Thank you — AGAIN!
We got beers for $ 5 each, which isn’t bad. Then they ran out of the drafts and instead he gave us bottled beers at the same special price.
The food smelled delicious when we saw it go past us. Though I do wish it weren’t so busy because we changed our minds and wanted food but they were so busy in there that we couldn’t wave someone down in time for food.
When the bill came, he actually deducted even more than he said he would! Why, thank you!
Either way, DEFINITELY coming back because the service is AMAZINGLY friendly. And it’s the spot to hit up before walking down to the pier to checkout a concert.

Not exactly what I was expecting but good. Not sure that I would come back right away. The décor was fun, spacious, staff was friendly. Not sure I like having to walk towards the kitchen to get to the bathroom. They should rethink that; my thoughts. If we do come back, I may ask to sit outside. I would probably enjoy it more with the sun in my face and a mimosa in my hand. Not to sound like an alcoholic but I think they should offer more than one mimosa with the brunch. I can understand if they don’t want that kind of crowd, but it would make it more fun and appealing. No? Ok, fine its me. Lol! I’ll take it. Our server was nice; she checked on us a couple of times. Thank you very much!

This place isn’t fancy… it’s not over the top. but, for the reason’s listed below, this place is a solid 4 star!

Nice décor and friendly staff! Food was good and big portions. Kind of overpriced if without a groupon. Worth to try it but definitely with groupon!

Cool décor and vibe. However once again, another trendy-​looking eatery that has invested too little in the actual quality of service and food. I’ve had burgers and sandwiches and salads here that were just not tasty, filling, or even fresh in my opinion. The service here when I’ve gone has ranged from either: totally ignoring me and taking +30 minutes to bring me the freaking check and then another 20 minutes to take the check (goodbye, tip) or hovering every 5 minutes asking me if my soup was okay or my water was okay (what?).
You guys have a chance to be much more popular considering you guys are in a location that doesn’t have a lot of other options being all the way on 11^th ave. Cut back on renovations and invest in a better food/​service please.

This is my third visit here. I originally discovered this place on groupon and have not been disappointed. The deal is so good and the food makes it worth it. The décor is so chic and warm. I’ve always dealt with nice staff there and have not need to make reservations or wait, I’ve only been there doe Sunday brunch. Worth checking out for brunch but definitely have the groupon.

We came here for Mother’s Day and absolutely loved it. Gary, our server was phenomenal! Attentive fun and happy. The service was prompt and the food was to die for. Brunch is what we came here for. Order the Eggs Benny and the Hudson burger. A great over all experience.

Great service but horrible bland food. Grabbed a bite before an event on Pier 97. First clue should have been that the place was completely empty around 6:30PM on a Saturday. Ordered 4 – 5 items and all of them were pretty bad, esp. whatever it was that they considered as «chicken fingers».
I don’t expect to see this place around for much longer.

I like it not because the food and service but the ambient.
I am such a big ambient person.
This location makes it really quiet and lots of great seating over the big window.

I joined my sister at her holiday work party* for the free booze and food. The place has nice ample space that definitely left everyone with more than enough room to mingle around. Plenty of booths, long center tables for bigger groups, and plenty of bar space.
Right off the bat, the staff was helpful and provided the guests with drinks before they were empty. They made sure no dirty plates were left unattended and they came around consecutively.
On to the food. We were offered appetizers — chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks — they could have been frozen and reheated. So I waited for the buffet style food … Vegetables, pasta, grilled chicken, and mashed potatoes. Sounds like a tasty plate but everything was so bland. No flavor, difficult to chew, watery sauce. I don’t know the details of how much the company paid for the unlimited wine & beer and the meal (thank you) but I wouldn’t come back as a paying customer if that’s the type of food they provide. From the looks of the place, I expected something that was going to have me going back for seconds. I do know they offer brunch, which the waitress said is their busier time. Maybeeeee, I’ll check it out.

Came here for the groupon deal. They first made us wait an hour for our food and when the food finally got here they messed up my bfs order. The food is very average to begin with and the bad service just made the food worse. The décor of the place is nice though but wouldn’t recommend coming here especially if you don’t have a groupon.

A groupon for $ 23 will get you brunch for two, which includes 2 entrees and 4 drinks… Don’t forget that they tax, and you will tip, on the original prices, which explains why you drop an additional $ 20 before heading out the door. Sigh… Its a hike to the west side, so take the crosstown bus… They’re on OpenTable, so make a reservation and rack up points towards your next OpenTable reward certificate.
Food is typical brunch fare, done at that higher expectation you find in NY, the presentation is beautiful, the service is attentive, and its a treat… with a Groupon. Brunch digests better at $ 43 than $ 76. Go WITHOUT a Groupon at your wallet’s peril. Eggs and burgers should never be $ 80…unless you are offering unlimited mimosas or bloody marys, which they are not.
Stop by the bakery on your way out… Best gluten free cupcake. Ever.

It’s quite amazing how consistent the slowness of their service was.
I came here with a party of 7 for Sunday brunch and although we made a reservation for 1:00 PM, we didn’t get seated until 1:30 PM. The host kept telling us that the previous party at our table was taking a little longer than expected; Initially, we felt contempt, but after we endured the service (or lack thereof) of The Hudson Eatery, we wished we never waited in the first place.
It took 20 minutes for our first round of drinks to come out. Our second round of drinks — just tea, coffee and juice — took another 20 minutes and 3 reminders. It took at least an hour after placing our orders before our food came out.
It doesn’t take long before you realize that their slowness of service was all encompassing. All the other customers are getting just as impatient. In the hour that I waited for my food, I saw two groups get up and leave, and another two tables get up and complain about where their food was.
Their food was nothing spectacular — your run-​of-​the-​mill diner breakfast entrees. I thought their menu seemed bland to begin with and once the food came out, I was unimpressed. My friend and I split an order of blueberry pancakes. Upon arrival, the pancakes were runny and undercooked and were immediately sent back to the kitchen. The stack of pancakes went unseen for another 30 minutes. Instead of being offered the choice of another type of pancake — which probably would have taken less time to remake — we were told by the host that the kitchen had run out of blueberries and had to run out to get some.
In all fairness, the waiters and hosts were very friendly and did their best to accommodate all our needs. However, this is no excuse or should it be any compensation for the establishment’s lackluster speed of service.
The establishment’s lack of structure and underwhelming menu makes for quite a disappointment for a restaurant with such potential. Would not recommend.
