Visited here in ~2007−2008. Good place for a date. Loved the gnocchi and wine. Would definitely come again!

We love this place but unfortunately it’s closed! We tried to go last night with a Bloomspot that expires in a few days, and it’s not open… I don’t know if they’re doing renovations(hopefully!) or it’s permanently closed, but the inside was trashed… I hope they reopen!

I loved the garden seating and the staff was super friendly, but the food just didn’t live up to NY Italian. I got the mushroom risotto and I actually sent it back — which I’ve never done in my life. It wasn’t actually risotto — it was rice. And it wasn’t very good. The crab gnocchi on the other hand was delicious. My friends really enjoyed their meals — crab gnocchi and seafood spaghetti. And the appetizer of pears with cheese was pretty nice. $ 100 later(for the 3 of us) I wished I’d had gone to Il Corrallo in Soho. Lesson learned.

Garden seating with lots of fans creating a cool breeze. Mismatched tables and chairs .very casual nice summer hangout. Long tables allow for larger parties. It seems as though later at night it is best to make a reservation. Opens at 530 pm during the week We had the prosciutto pizza which was very light on the sauce. heavy on the prosciutto and arugula. Definitely a light pizza that could easily be eaten by one hungry person. The pasta dishes that were at the table nearby looked amazeballs and if we hadn’t had a groupon for pizza specifically I would have been all about that.

This place is great down home, «real» Italian food. I have been here several times now, and I am always very satisfied. The pastas are delicious, I always go for the tagliatelle bolognese or the pappardelle with lamb ragu. The pastas are always«al dente» and very flavorful. The entrees are pretty good as well like the lamb and the salmon. This is not the best Italian food I have ever had, but it’s a nice taste of authentic Italian food. And the staff is very attentive and helpful. So I keep coming back.

I bought a LivingSocial voucher for I Coppi after seeing moderately good reviews. I wanted to come here for dinner during a cold winter night, but surprisingly, it was closed! There were no notices anywhere(website, phone, at the restaurant) indicating that it would be closed for holiday. Dejected, I wandered back to St. Marks. About a month later, I got a reminder to use the LivingSocial voucher, and I decided to call this time to check if they’re open. They were, so I made a reservation for me and my BFF on a Friday night. Although the restaurant’s a little out of the way, it was worth the trek. The atmosphere is very romantic(great for dates), and they have a wide selection of wines you can choose from. We each got a glass of the white wine special(forgot what kind it was, but it was good) and then ordered a spaghetti allo scoglio for me and a ravioli al gorgonzola e pere for her. I was particularly impressed with the ravioli; I never thought pear would be a good stuffing, but the savoriness of the gorgonzola balanced out the sweetness of the pear, and the mushroom sauce tasted delicious with all those flavors. My seafood spaghetti was also very tasty, and I made sure I soaked up all of the sauce with the bread from the table. The prices are decent for the quality of this restaurant, but I was sure glad I had the voucher! I will be back, especially if I find another deal!

This is a place where I would recommend, but only once. or twice. Our group of 10 didn’t make reservations and decided on this place last minute on a saturday night. We asked the hostess and she said she would try to make it work, and she did! Even though it was a little packed, it was perfect. We were seated in the back garden area. Not as heated as I thought it would be, but it was still lovely. Their wine selection was good. Our table ordered two bottles(1 red, 1 white). Forgot the names, but they were amazing. I’m not into red, but this one was good! The meals were very good, way better than what I expected. It’s unfortunate that I was already full from drinking beer beforehand. Overall, a very lovely date place. Prices, reasonable for NYC. $ 20+ for an entrée.

It’s always a pleasant surprise to happen upon a hidden gem in NYC. Space and real estate are a hot commodity here — some of the best meals can be found at hidden holes-in-the-wall. However, I’m definitely not one to turn my nose up at quaint ambiance and cozy décor. With a secret outdoor dining area and scrumptious Italian fare, I Coppi won me over pronto; I had a truly delightful meal here! Eating buddy and I first started with the Crostoni Di Taleggio E Fichi — grilled Tuscan bread with melted taleggio cheese and figs, served on a baby arugula salad. My eating buddy ordered the entrée special, a cheese and mushroom stuffed pork chop. This chop was huuuge! I admit I usually stay away from pork chops, as the ones I’ve had were a bit dry. However, a sample bite or two of eating buddy’s chop was juicy, flavorful and just the right amount of fatty. If you had to go with a pork chop, you couldn’t go too wrong with this one here. I ordered the pasta special — pesto penne topped with a soft cheese, the name of which escapes me now(but was deeeelicioso!). I am a HUGE pesto fan. Huge. This one was exploding with fresh basil flavor — so yummy! The soft cheese added creaminess and just a touch of tang to the dish. All I know is that I was wiping up these pesto sauce with the breadbasket. Mmm! As I mentioned before, we were lucky enough to be sitting in the covered dining garden — how romantical. I would definitely recommend I Coppi for scrumptious Italian fare in a casual, intimate setting. The service was attentive, knowledgeable and prompt. We dined here on a Sunday night and it was pretty packed, so definitely call ahead for reservations in the dining garden! Unbeatable atmosphere, delectable cuisine.

Don’t know where to begin — the terrific atmosphere, the incredible food, or the top-notch service??? We made reservations in outdoor back garden area — absolutely beautiful! I can imagine that by spring and summer this spot would get even better and better. I ordered the mushroom risotto, but I stole a bit of the gnocchi and lamb dishes that were also on the table. Everything was as it should be. The portions were generous, the flavors well blended, the lamb cooked to perfection(reminiscent of a fillet), and the gnocchi firm. I will also give a special shout out to the gnocchi because it was flavored like no other gnocchi that I have had. It had a citrus-iness about it that was unexpectedly delicious! I also ordered the arugula salad — oh so fresh. The service was attentive and gave solid food/wine advice. We had a lovely red wine(don’t know what it was to tell the truth) — we had wanted the chianti, but they were out of it, so we had what they recommended as an alternative. Additionally, we couldn’t decided on a dessert — when we asked the waiter, he pushed us in a completely different direction and we were not disappointed. We ordered the dolce con pere el mele … this description will not do it justice, but it was like the best pear pie you’ve ever had. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a great meal in a garden with fab service!

Went with a huge group to celebrate a birthday, and our reservation was made only a few days before which was great. The back garden is so beautiful and charming, and our table didn’t feel smooshed in at all, it really was the perfect space on a summer night. The food was mediocre, but I really liked my tagliatelle, pass on the desert and some of the meat dishes. The server was very helpful and didn’t mind dealing with our 2343 credit cards at the end. All in all a pleasant and enjoyable experience, definitely request the back garden.
