I purchased an engagement ring for my now fiancé in November and we couldn’t be happier. I’d looked around to at other boutique shops and had made my way to the diamond district and James & Co was the first store we visited. I spotted the ring I ended up purchasing, but decided to keep looking in other stores just in case. After another hour or so of feeling overwhelmed and oversold, I made my way back to James’. I knew I’d found the right place the moment I walked in. They were kind, knowledgable, and very helpful. They didn’t try to sell me or force anything on me. They were patient and offered really great advice and excellent service. When it’s time to chose my fiancé’s wedding band, we’ll definitely go to Jimmy!

I just went to the diamond district in Manhattan to bought an engagement ring for my girlfriend I originally was looking for Peter J. Germano because many people recommended as the go to for great deals in engagement rings but there were close for the new years week so I browse all the other stores on the district until I found James & Co. Where James in person gave me a great deal in the diamond I was looking for including his GIA certification!

I never got my deposit back, mr. James take a 1000 $ and never give me back just because I change my mind on the ring

They have the best diamonds at the best prices. You will not get the beauty and value anywhere else. Look everywhere before you go and I promise you will be amazed. Everyone should have a jeweler! Jimmy and John should be your choice

Stay away, this place is over priced.

We have been buying gorgeous diamonds, etc. From James and co. For at least 20 years. We feel like they are family. Jimmy can make anything you want and you will love it! Cindy, Virginia.

My hubby’s cousin used to work here, and so is where he bought my engagement ring. We then came back for our bands, and a pair of earrings for the big day. We’ve been back about once a year since then to get my rings cleaned by them; they do a great job and it’s free =)
The guys that work here are really friendly and helpful, and have a nice selection in a comfortable atmosphere. Definitely check them out if you’re in the market! Right on 47^th between 5^th & 6^th
