Damn I hate to do this, but my o my has the mighty fallen. used to love this place as a kid. but the last time the jerk chicken tasted like it was frozen and microwaved. the jerk pork was dry and also tasted like its been around for a while and the rice and peas was mushy couldn’t even finish my meals.

Been going here for years now and their great customer service and food never gets old. I always get the jerk chicken topped with their sweet and spicy jerk sauce. If you want authentic Jamaican food I highly recommend them

This place used to be the best. Now its dry jerk chicken — girl forgot to add jerk sauce and sweet sauce — why ask what sauce i like if ur gonna skip it. Food tasted old. Place had no customers. Lines used to be out the door at this place. I should have went to Sempre Fame — now thats BBQ!

There are a few places that are my «go to» when I am in the mood for jerk chicken. When I am on Laurelton, Queens, I head to Jerk Hut on Merrick blvd. They have all the standard Jamaican fare. Yes, you can find something that tastes better (especially if you travel to Jamaica) but for solid jerk, pick up your plate here.

This was honestly the scariest place that I have ever ordered from. The counter where you order food from is shielded with a HUGE pane of what must be bullet proof glass. But it is definitely worth the trip to pick up the food. You can see how fresh everything is when they prep all of the food right in front of you. All of the Jamaican food was delicious, but the jerk chicken is easily the BEST that I have ever tasted. Their sauce is so mouth watering good. You have to give this hole in a wall a chance. It gives a whole new meaning to Jamaican food. Prices can’t be beat.

Been going here for over 15 years and it has grown tremendously. When the food is on point and piping hot — IT’S FANTABOULOUS. Some of the staff have ‘tudes — JUST GIMME MY’ FOOD” — and kick rocks. Fabulous West Indian Jerk chicken, oxtails, jerk wings, and jerk pork. It’s really worth the time for a stop. Only drawbacks — no place to sit — standing room only, no seats and the ordering/​standing area is quite small. Decent pricing.
