Small mom & pop joint throughout NYC that’s not to be slept on. Save a few bucks, eat yummy food, like — their home fries(yum), fresh eggs, fresh everything… All cooked in front of you. Small location with 3 employees at best, but super efficient. My wife grew up eating Jimbo’s and she always makes it a point to go here whenever we visit NYC. The burgers here are so juicy. How the hell do they make burgers taste so good? Damn. If you want authentic NYC dining — stop in here! Promise you won’t regret it.

Saw this featured on the Food Network and needed to try it as Emeril now endorses it. Tiny, little place with poor ventilation but KILLER burgers. If your in that area stop by for a burger or bacon egg and cheese — great food and even better prices. Thanks Emeril!

For some odd reason they absolutely REFUSE to cook a hamburger(or anything else for that matter) the way you want it. The cook presses every last drop of moisture out of the patty until it is so dry it tastes like saw dust. When I asked that they not do that, they put a tin dome over the burger but then cooked it so long that it was again inedible. I have been reluctant to write a review because they are in my neighborhood but it is not right that customers spend money on what they think will be a great meal only to be disappointed. I ordered from there two days in a row. The burger was a dry slab of what once was a burger and they chicken wings were so oily the grease must have been cold when cooked. It was just awful. Money down the drain.

Perfect place for a quick lunch. Best burgers in Midtown and inexpensive. A greasy little spoon reminiscent of the ol’ luncheonettes that have disappeared from Manhattan. You’re not coming here for the ambience. The burgers are grilled to perfection every time, toasted bun, old school. Fries are crispy. They also have tasty breakfast plates and a decent selection of sandwiches.

I figured since this was a «Hamburger place» that the burgers would be good. I ordered a Turkey burger. What I got resembled a frozen meat patty from McDonald’s.

The only reason for stopping at Jimbo’s was the convenience of its location, right before getting on the 59th street bridge. I was driving from downtown and needed an easy handheld food before heading into rush hour traffic. I got a cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. Was exactly what I needed, and it hit the spot. Could be bigger. Will be my burger spot if I’m ever in the area!

I tried out Jimbos recently after walking by. The burger was pretty good and was prepared for me fast. It was pretty small inside and could’ve been cleaner. The service was good. There’s a counter and a few tables and chairs. Wasn’t bad, but not sure I’ll go back right away.

amazing burgers. sometimes you have to be straight with the dudes though, you might get a cook who doesn’t know what they’re doing. there’s one guy that works there who’s the bomb(makes everything perfecto) but the other cooks are all right. just tell ‘em exactly what you want & they’ll do it for ya nice ‘n’ fresh. good stuff.

A cute little place with REAL burgers that hit the spot. They serve their fries in those white carton boxes and the burgers come with real pickle chips. Yum. Maybe I’ll get one tonight! It’s really the only place in the neighborhood to get your burger from if you want your burger done right. I’ve never eaten there, only ordered out. I’m not sure how clean the facility is or even what their letter grade is. But honestly, I don’t care. Their burgers are something to write home about. And hey! Emeril Lagasse likes their place so why shouldn’t you?

For the price point, one of the best burgers you can find in the neighborhood. The place is super small and perfect if you’re on your own or with one other person to grab a quick bite. The staff is busy as all get out but still manage to be friendly to all of their customers. I once asked for extra pickles and the guy gave me an entire plate full as a joke.

I’m pretty fond of Jimbo’s. It’s a tiny, old-school lunch counter with decent burgers and fries etc. It’s the sort of place that used to be utterly commonplace but is beginning to feel like a valuable time capsule, worthy of preservation.

I love Jimbo’s. It is a neighborhood hole-in-the-wall gem. Yes, I stink like a grease pit when I come out of there, but who cares? They offer good, diner type food and yummy burgers are really cheap prices. I like their breakfast on weekdays and burgers whenever I am in the mood for a burger. They have good onion rings too. Super friendly service as well.

I love this place for burgers. The service is a quiet friendly. I got the Texan burger and my boyfriend got the cheeseburger deluxe. There were more than enough fries for us to share. The burger was also super reasonable priced. You can’t get a whole meal like that, that is reliably tasty for 8 bucks just anywhere. I am absolutely making this a regular spot

I’d like to give Jimbo’s a review, but unfortunately can’t as I never got to eat here. I’m a driver, stuck in a car all day, so when I get to take a break I like to visit a restroom, wash up, etc. Jimbo’s is the first sit-down restaurant I’ve visited that hasn’t got one. Oh well… So my one star is based solely on the fact that this place isn’t driver friendly.

Was it a burger? Yeah Was it good? Not really Was it fast and cheap as hell? Absolutely Went here just cuz I’ve been hungover as hell all day at work and don’t feel like cooking or waiting long to get food. Walked up the block to Jimbos. Got a Texas burger and bacon cheeseburger with fries and onion rings. Total was $ 21 bucks. Which is ridiculously cheap for NYC. The place is tiny and a little dilapidated. One guy was working as chef, cashier, and waiter. That being said from the moment I stepped in and ordered to the moment I left took less than 15 minutes. So it was quick. Burgers were both super subpar. I literally watched the guy pull two patties out of the freezer and drop em on the grill, like frozen pucks of meat. Cheap ingredients means a cheap taste. It was fine. Definitely edible. But for sure not anything to write home about. Onion rings were the frozen kind where they all look exactly the same in size and shape. The fries were whatever. Probably won’t be ordering from here again.

Went here for lunch during work. REALLY small spot so I took it back to the office. I got the cheese deluxe burger. It was aright, kinda typical diner-esque type burger. Nothing to write home about but it was decent.

Having walked by this small diner many times, I had to give it a try. What grabbed my attention was the big picture of Emeril posted in the front window. This place is really small. There are 2 counters and about 3 tables. Ordered a beef burger and fries. No matter where you sit in the restaurant you will be able to see your food being prepared. In no time my burger was ready. It was a simple meat patty topped off with a slice of tomato, onions, and lettuce. A small side of Cole Slaw also accompanies your meal. The burger didn’t blow me away. The fries were warm and crisp. The gentleman behind the counter is sweet. He is the cashier, cook, and server on most days. Extremely hard worker. Jimbo’s is a nice place to grab a quick bite if you’re in the area. I definitely wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here though.
