Dr Levy is literally the best dentist in the world. i used to travel back from California to go to him. He has helped my teeth get back to healthy shape and replace an implant gone bad. i actually worry about the day he finally chooses to retire.

I was referred to Dr. Levy. He, his staff, and his office are absolutely fantastic! Great location, too(Central Park South)!

«As long as Dr. Levy is a practicing dentist in New York City, I too will be a tax-paying resident of New York City.» — Me I belted out this bold declaration after my first six month(cough cough, year) visit with Dr. Levy and I still feel the same way two years and zero cavities later. I consider myself an expert on dentists. I hate them all, with very few exceptions. When I find a good, trustworthy one, I hang on for dear life and never let go. Or move. I’m pretty sure I stayed in Texas for twenty odd years for this very reason. You think I exaggerate? I do, often. But not when it comes to dentists. Dr. Levy won’t recommend procedures that aren’t necessary and he won’t quarter you Braveheart-style over insurance. He has a friendly disposition and, at least in my experience, isn’t too judgy judgy when you admit to flossing maybe possibly twice a year, usually right before an office visit. My boss uses Dr. Levy, too. Now, ask yourself: Do you think I would refer my boss to someone out of network(therefor generating more work for myself) and/or to a dentist that is not every bit as worthwhile as I say he is? Hint: I love being employed. It pays for stuff, and I like stuff.

Dr. Levy is a great dentist and I had been going to him for many years(1994 — 2004, damn … a decade!!!), referring friends and family along the way. He is very personable and knows his stuff. I always respected the fact that he would only recommend the absolutely necessary dental work that needed to be done. Not that I have bad teeth, but one tends to get sucked into the whole bleaching, veneer, cosmetic dentistry hype. Dr. Levy said no even though he could have made some coin. The downside is that he is expensive but hey, I guess that’s Manhattan real estate for you. I stopped going to him after I moved because the commute in and parking were killing me but if I lived or worked in Manhattan again, I’d be back in a flash. This review is so late but I’m searching for a new dentist in Pennsylvania and it got me reminiscing.

I have a phobia of dentists. This is disgusting and horrible to admit but before going to Dr. Levy I hadn’t been to a dentist in over 3 years. I woke up one morning in so much pain. I thought I was going to die. Felt like someone was stabbing my jaw with a knife. Eww… gross. I popped a few excedrin and headed into work. Bad idea. BUT good idea too because after I had called 3 different local dentists in my network and couldn’t get an appointment until over a week later I went crying to my boss because I had no idea what to do. She called up her dentist, Dr. Levy and he took me that day. He has a wonderful bedside manner. Very very gentle and understanding. He assessed my situation to find I needed a root canal. eeeek! After a few visits I was all done and no more pain. He was not in my network but I was covered up to $ 1000. Dr. Levy is VERY expensive. Im still paying it off. But I have to say it was worth it.
