Came for Restaurant Week Winter 2016 — one of the best choice’s I’ve made.
Restaurant is just off the Bowery on Kenmare Street and has a nice atmosphere — chic and trendy with a dash of hipster.
Started off with the octopus salad, very tasty and great portion. Main entrée was the salmon, which was cooked perfectly and not too salty. Finished off with a chocolate cake with salted caramel ice cream (I’m biased and love anything salted caramel).
Service was great not too rushed and not too slow. Would definitely come back, especially for brunch!

We went for restaurant week for dinner and it was great.
Restaurant were can be hit and miss but the seafood was fresh, the portions and the service was great — very attentive.
My only complaint would be that the chocolate lava cake was slightly over cooked (hence no lava) but it was still yummy.
I’d come back, location is great in the LES. They also ask you how you’d like your salmon cooked which is a nice touch. Decent wine list as well.

Decided to try Ken and Cook because I actually saw a Groupon deal for it, which included 2 cocktails, a dozen oysters (there were 6 of each of two different kinds but not exactly what type they were), and an appetizer. We went with the steak tartare. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t amazing either. If I came back, it’s probably not something I’d order again.
You can’t combine it with happy hour (which is M-F, 5 – 7). Too bad because I definitely would have stayed for a few more drinks. Not that the cocktails were that good. I’m not sure if there was even any alcohol in there. But I wouldn’t have minded some vino.
Tip — don’t eat the breadsticks. They’re stale.

Came here on a Monday night with a party of four for dinner — the place was relatively empty the entire time. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice for a beautiful summer evening. I like the décor and feel of this place, the bar area is swanky as well … I loved the atmosphere, but the food was not very good.
