Decent all you can eat, except they add on a 20% tip at the end and they don’t mention it.

I have never wrote a review on Unilocal before although I use it a lot. However I have to say that I will never go back to this restaurant again. Honestly, It is my WORST sushi experience ever! I went on a meal with two other friends since we saw their nice picture on Unilocal.I don’t really mind that their food is okay since it is kinda cheap for a sushi meal. Their udon and teriyaki are kinda cooked as chinese food as the restaurant is run by Chinese. However, their service is horrible. The waitress was very rude when I was ordering food. The dish had left-over rice sticked on it. She kept trying to take dishes away from the table with a horrible manner. In the end, one of friends paid 25 cents as tips due to their disgusting service and we were told not to come back if we don’t pay enough tips. But the truth is we will never go back. This restaurant shouldn’t even get any customers.

Fast food, decent service at an entirely reasonable price. Party of 5 tip included. Unlimited food and alcohol under 50 each.

The sushi is good, but the reason I’m giving this place 5 stars is because of the all you can eat deal. $ 28 all you can eat with no menu restrictions(other than only one appetizer) and no time limit. Then for $ 7 more you can add all you can drink. The only catch is that you have to pay for anything you don’t finish, but you can order multiple times and go slow. The staff is courteous and began to recognize us after only a few trips in. It’s a great place to get your sushi fix without breaking the bank.

Truly basic Japanese dining. Maki lunch specials are inexpensive and mediocre at best, you get what you pay for. Not much flavor unless you drench it in soy sauce. Lunch special comes with miso soup which is hit or miss, sometimes it’s decent and other times watered down. The udon noodle soup is barely mediocre. They send you over a container layered with noodles, then veggies and chicken on top. A separate container with the warm broth. You have to pour and mix in same container. Kind of difficult if you are ordering lunch at work, not much room to stir. So basically, you have to work to get to the noodles at the bottom. The staff that answers the phone always seems like they are in a rush. The delivery person does not say thank you even if you tip over 20%. I would never ever bring my Japanese sister in law here to eat. Review based on lunch delivery.

This is my boyfriend and I’s go to all you can eat sushi place. We probably go once a month. The food is good quality and the service is great! Which if you have done all you can eat sushi before you know it’s hard to find good service. This place will also not be as rowdy as other all you can eat sushi in NYC. Which is great when you want to have a long meal, lots of drinks, and enjoy your company. The only reason I’m giving them four stars instead of five is because although they have a wide selection of options on their all you can eat menu(great dumplings and other appetizers) we have started to notice that the speciality sushi rolls are mostly spicy tuna based. Which is probably how they can afford the all you can eat option… Overall though great place!

I came here with a group of about 12 people and was highly disappointed. The sushi was okay at best– the fish did not taste fresh and the rice was hard and sticky. Some of the other dishes and appetizers are decent but for example, their Kani«salad» is just dry shredded crab over some unexplained lettuce. It’s not even mixed together. No mayo, cucumbers, or anything. On top of that, the service is disgusting. The waitresses and hostesses are all extremely rude. They barely brought out any food in the beginning and then suddenly came out with all of the heavy dishes at the same time at the end so that no one could finish anything. Then they charge you extra for not finishing your food. We also had to ask for water three times and once we got it it was never refilled. To top it off, they charged someone’s credit card more than they authorized without asking first and then yelled at us and caused a huge scene in the restaurant when we tried to dispute it with them. Horrible place, will never come back.

This is my fav all you can eat sushi and drink spot. I would highly recommend to all my friends who want to come with both large or small groups. The restaurant itself isn’t very large so making reservations wouldn’t be a bad idea. Overall decent service, there were moment where I think they forgot about us, but they definitely tried to make it up to us when they realized it. The sushi itself is really good. I’m not going to say it’s out of this world, but surprisingly really good for an all you can eat joint. The best thing about the menu is how big it is. Not only does it include regular sushi rolls and maki, but it also includes appetizers and I think some of the entrees. Yes, you’re going to end up dropping about 40 bucks so come here with an empty stomach and get ready to eat and drink as much as you possibly can.

TL: DR — If you live/work around the area, probably good to eat for the convenience of being in the area. Otherwise, find another place. — — — — I went to celebrate a friend’s birthday and decided to have the all you can eat. The sushi was decent in quality and there were some notable notable dishes like the blue crab dumpling and the spicy family roll(or something like that). My tiff with the place was several things over the course of the night. First, the waiter set a table for another party when my group had already been waiting. When someone from the group try to talk to the waiter, they were ignored. The table issue was sorted out by the hostess. Then during service, it was disorganised and the waiters just kept yelling orders without having noted who ordered what(people are supposed to fill in their name which people did). The final thing was when paying for the check, they miscounted the cash and said we were under by $ 1 and they charged that to someone’s card without telling us until we asked for change back(because we put down way more cash than needed and didn’t even end up getting back). We were a large party so we chose to not fight it and it was the end of the night and cold. I have no desire to go back.

Went with a large group for unlimited sushi and saki. Really great experience. The staff is really nice and accommodating, and provide great service. They made sure we always had ample saki and Sapporo, and promptly brought out our orders for additional sushi. The food is also really good(really good interesting rolls), and the place is clean and had a lively yet respectful clientele(unlike other places that are filled with 20 year olds with fake IDs). Bathrooms are clean, too. Would definitely return and recommend.

If you’re ready to drop a hot $ 40 and put back as much sake and sushi as you possibly can, this place is a great choice. Clean, friendly, and fast service! I came here on a chilly Saturday even with my boyfriend after fighting through hoards of people strolling on the High Line, and it was a great place for a respite. It wasn’t busy, we got seated right away at a cozy window, and immediately started ordering. The sushi rolls are huge, and there is a huge selection of special rolls(typically ~$ 12-$ 14) on the AYCE menu, so you really can get your money’s worth. I also couldn’t even eat more than two. I was impressed and I will definitely be back!

Went to dinner with a friend this past Sunday. It was about 8:30 when we arrived. The place was dead. There was literally no one else in the place except us and the staff. A few people came in for take out but that’s it. Usually I’d dismiss it for a Sunday night but 2 restaurants near by were packed so it didn’t bode well for Kiku. We both got miso soup, I ordered the angry bird roll, yellow tail a dn scallion, and spicy salmon. The angry bird was very sweet would be fantastic for someone who isn’t very into sushi I didn’t like it. The yellowtail was fine, the spicy salmon was utterly tasteless. I think they mix the fish with tempura flakes because there was a spongy texture and not much flavor. It wasn’t spicy at all either so there’s that. All in all it was a slightly less than mediocre experience and I definitely won’t be back. I’ve hear they have all you can eat sushi here but I’m unsure if I’d even want to eat very much from this place. Probably won’t be back there are better places with cheaper or similarly priced sushi.

The sushi was good but honestly we will not be returning here for several reasons. 1) Service: Our waitress was pushy and we felt rushed throughout our meal, although we have a 2 hour limit. We tried the unlimited sushi and sake/beer/wine and they charge a fee if we do not finish everything. We managed to finish everything but felt rushed and nauseous afterwards. 2) Price: The check ended up being a little over $ 90 for two people for unlimited sushi and drinks. Honestly, we prefer in the future to go to Ichi Umi for cheaper, better service and unlimited food and sushi selections. When we received the check, we learned they automatically include 20% tip regardless, even if your waitress is rude and pushy. 3) Drinks: We tried the warm sake and it was unbearable to drink. It seriously tasted like rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover(however that tastes like) and I’ve had much better sake at other locations.

Decent sushi, ok service. We were quick to be seated since we had made reservations ahead of time but there also wasn’t really a crowd there around dinner time on a weeknight. They have all-you-can-eat sushi for about $ 29 a person(before tip and tax) with a pretty large selection, with only a selected few items on their specialty sushi menu that wasn’t available for the all-you-can-eat price. They also have appetizers from sushi salad to miso soup and gyoza. The sushi was ok, most of their fish(especially the spicy tuna) was way too mushy and sticky. But their sashimi was pretty fresh. The food came our relatively quick and presentation was on the spot. Their rolls were also stuffed with rice(like most all-you-can-eat places…) Waitress was very strict about over ordering, so order with caution!

Pros: * Unlimited sushi and appetizers for ~$ 30 is a pretty stellar deal for Manhattan. Add $ 7 and you can get unlimited house white wine. * The unlimited menu includes everything from seaweed salad, edamame, simple rolls and their signature speciality rolls. I loved the appetizers Shiu Mai(flavorful and not overcooked), classic seaweed salad, and Rock Shrimp(baby shrimp tempura with spicy sauce). I love spicy tuna/salmon, so I recommend the Crazy Tuna Roll(crispy rice rolled with king crab and topped with spicy tuna, black tobiko and chef‘s special sauce), Twister Roll(crunchy spicy tuna and eel, topped with black pepper tuna, avocado and wasabi sauce. They don’t skimp on the fresh fish and rice isn’t too hard like at Ichi Umi. Overall– perfectly delicious sushi for an unlimited deal. * They told us beforehand that they charge for leftover food, but we were happy they didn’t charge us even when we had a couple pieces left. Cons: * The service here is similar to that of Chinatown– blunt and impolite. Our waitress was very shy and didn’t even crack a smile or utter a word. After 2 appetizers + 2 special rolls + 1 sushi order, I was waddling around with heartburn in 85°F heat. I wouldn’t repeat this for summer, but can’t wait to come back in the wintertime!

Walked in after 7pm for dinner and got the lights flickered on us at 9pm! The hours on the door and website says open until 10:30pm. Our server also tried giving us the check like 3 times without asking if we were all set or if we wanted dessert. The prices were reasonable and the service was fine until the latter half of our meal but left such a bad taste in our mouth that we will not be back.

Everything written about this place is correct. Very good sushi, affordable prices, and a very extensive menu. I the selected the sushi bento box and it arrived with perfectly fried oysters, nice spicy tuna rolls, and a very fresh sushi assortment. For 20 bucks it was a great bang!!! My only negative is that place lacks atmosphere. If I lived close by I’d be a regular.

Ordered their three roll lunch special over Seamless and thought it was pretty good. I wouldn’t say they’re the best tasting sushi place I’ve had but it’s okay for a cheap lunch. I’ve been experimenting with a couple sushi places for takeout to find some cheaper but good lunch options. For ~$ 12 I got the Spider Roll, Spicy Yellowtail Roll, and the Salmon Avocado Roll. My favorite would definitely be the salmon avocado because the pieces of salmon are pretty big! They give six of each roll except the Spider Roll came with five. The lunch special also comes with miso soup and salad but I didn’t really bother on those.
