The manager of this place was very rude! We were happy going there as a group. While we were about to order drinks and hookah, he hurriedly came to the hostess talking to her that we should all check out coats and he didn’t look happy about it. We didn’t know of the coat check at first. All of us were listening and watching. So we uncomfortably checked our coats except for 1 coat. The manager came back pissed. He pointed at the coat that was not checked where all of us could hear and see. He hurriedly headed towards the stairs and told the hostess that if we will not check all of the coats we can leave… Of course we left and wouldn’t want to spend a single cent on that place. Place was very low key, where the couches has a lot of holes, a very ordinary place. Very bad customer service from the manager. Will not go back there at all!

This place is poorly run. I am sure it’s under new management because I have been here before and it was great. I came for a friends birthday, we bought 3 bottles(which were SMALL) and we were asked to leave the table after a couple of hours because we weren’t buying any more bottles MEANWHILE the tables next to us were filled with a bunch of girls with one hooka shared by 7 of them. The waitress was RUDE and looked like she was ready to fight someone. She’s lucky I was having a good night. Overall I wouldn’t plan to have an event here. The only good thing I will say about this place is that they play great music, other then that, DON’T COMEHERE.

Shady. Charged me 25 dollars for the fruit hookah when I got the normal 20 dollar one. Mandatory 20% gratuity for a party of 2. Hookah was average and way too expensive.

If possible for zero stars, that’s what my rating would be… I am one of your neighbors and I’m tired of being woken up at 3am and 4am by your drunk patrons… Last night, there were 2 fist fights on the street… And 6 weeks ago, there was a stabbing… Please fix this ongoing problem or get used to the 19th Precinct visits!!! Thank you

Hookahs may still be pretty good but the whole atmosphere is no longer the same. The whole management stuff turned-over and ever since Kevin left, it’s been totally disorganized, including the deletion of both their facebook page and website. They raised the prices on the hookahs and have removed a lot of the happy hour specials. The drinks themselves don’t taste that great anymore either, think the new staff still have some catching-up to do. I’ve had many birthdays here and had a lot of good times but it may be time to say goodbye to La Nuit for awhile.

So I walk into this place with a few friends on a Saturday night. It isn’t busy, but it takes a minute for someone to approach us. We asked for a table for three people and he asked if we needed bottle service… We said no thanks and he immediately dismissed us and went back to his hookah(real professional). Then we asked the bartender if they had more seating upstairs, to which she replied«upstairs is closed.» Then we asked if they had more chairs for us to sit at the bar… She said they only have 2 chairs for the bar… Two damn chairs in an entire bar and if we wanted to sit we had to have bottle service… I promptly turned around and walked out.: this is NYC and your bar is not nice enough for that nonsense. Bye!

1) No tea selection(lipton only) 2) Unknowledgeable staff(didn’t know what half the things I asked about were) 3) Poor food selection(4 out of the 5 items I requested were not in stock. The fifth item didn’t have babaganoush which came in the dish). 4) Poor tasting food.(Hummus and tzatziki seemed as if store bought and the pita was chewy. All were bland) 5) On a Monday 8pm the DJ/Bartender/Hookah guy was playing loud music when we were the only two people in the place and kept flashing the lighting like it was a Friday night. Very odd. We could barely hear each other. 6) Horrible service. No one paid attention to us at all because they of course tag a 20% gratuity charge to your bill. This place needs a serious intervention. One year ago they were great. Today they are the worst restaurant I’ve yet to experience. Bar rescue please help!!! #JonTaffer

I don’t like writing long reviews. So I’ll get to the point. I like this place. Nothing to bad to say with my experience here(been here twice) drinks a little watery in my opinion but it’s a good place to get hookah and the vibe is great when it’s a little crowded. Good music and its not to loud. And i got to dance with the belly dancer lol OVERALL… I plan on making more appearances over the summer

We had a bad experience here. Getting in was easy enough. The security guards were friendly at the door. We went inside and were seated fairly quickly. We ordered food and drinks as well as hookah. I had. Asked and been put on the«list». Which doesn’t mean shit. First they forgot one order of food and totally messed up another. My friend ordered the hummus platter and it came out with no hummus! The falafel was ok. A little too mushy on the inside and a little too much clove. My friends food never came out. So we had to find a waitress to let her know.(She never came back to the table). An hour and fifteen minutes later her chicken came out and it was not marked as a hot item on the menu. The dipping sauce was pure sciraccha sauce. Which set everyone’s mouth ablazed! At 12:00pm the upstairs area opened. We were told by numerous people on staff there was no cover To go upstairs. Considering I called in advance there is no way I should be paying a cover on «girls night» if I’m «on the list». So we asked one of the members of staff how it worked just to be on the safe side and my friend, who was on the«list» that she would have a $ 50 cover to go upstairs. Let’s get this straight here. This place in no way shape or form is worthy of a $ 50.00 cover. As a matter of fact they are not set up to be charging a cover. I was upstairs and saw it and it’s couchs for hookah with a dj that’s it. You can do all of that downstairs. It isn’t worthy of ANYCOVER. I have never paid a cover at a hookah lounge ever because between food, liquor, and hookah you are spending money there. The whole place is mismanaged once you get pass security. You can see it. You can’t get a waitress at all and they weren’t even busy. The big guy with the trim beard trying to shake people down for a cover was a joke. I will not be going back under any circumstances.

I went on a Friday and the crowd was not ur typical diverse crowd… it was mainly arabs descents/middle eastern crowd. Upstairs was all Arabian music ONLY!.Now the downstairs part of the lounge… hookah bar however you wanna call it had a Dj and he was playing a little bit of was not that bad actually. Now the service was lousy… My friend told me that the guy perhaps he was the owner or some sort of management was rude… but anyways me and my party had to keep looking for a waitress or somebody to take our order. the hookah was weak… I didn’t even bother with that… overall it was a experienced nice spot but need some work done… If your trying to go and«Turn up» aka a chill cute night this is not the spot or at least on a Friday’s its not

I came here once before in the summer and it was fantastic w/great happy hour options & fun crowd. I came here on a February 13th Friday after work(5:30pm) Due to new management happy hour is no longer on week days. BAD Business making(I have worked in bar & restaurant for 15 years) No one was really in there. Christmas mix was play ya’ll. when they gave us our appetizers the lamb nachos we stone cold we had to asked for it to get heated. Lucky it came back in 1min hot. Our waitress was also the bartender. Not her fault, but she couldn’t give 100% and be able to check on us because of poor staffing. Sadly this was my coworkers summer spot(there once a week), but after this expensive horrible experience we will not be coming back. If I could, I would give it s half star because at least the staff was nice & the place was clean. But Unilocal gives me no choice but to give it a 1 star. SADTONEVERCOMINGBACK.

I went to La Nuit twice, this past September on a friday night and this past Saturday. My first experience at La Nuit was much better in terms of music. There was a nice mix of reggaeton, pop, dance, etc. and there were happy hour deals. The hookah, drinks and appetizers were decent. A belly dancer came out and gave an amazing performace. Be aware after 11ish if you don’t buy a bottle they move you from your seat. My second experience was on a Saturday night. We had the hookah with mint and strawberry it was decent. My complaint was that there was no belly dancer and the music was not good it was mainly hip hop and rap. I do not enjoy hookah over rap music sorry. Maybe it was hip hop night and I didn’t know, oh well the DJ should have had a nicer mix.

This is my favorite hookah lounge in the city hands down. Décor: The atmosphere is super trendy. This is the best looking hookah lounge I ever been to in a great neighborhood. Drinks: The drink prices are fair for the area and they are strong. I got two drinks and was feeling a buzz. Food: DELICIOUS! They have an array of tapas to choose from. I got the rosemary lamb sliders and they were amazing. It was cheap and I was stuffed. If you love lamb, I would definitely advise on getting this. Hookah: The hookah is strong and amazing. It lasts for hours. Service: The service is great. All the staff is helpful. The coal get changed all the time. Service is quick. Overall: This is my favorite hookah lounge in the city. I would definitely recommend this for a date or hanging out with friends.
