Food was always good here. Found out 4÷25÷2016 it has closed sue to loss of lease. Hope they open somewhere else

I had a lunch special, 3 salads and a cup of soup. Mushroom salad is super salty, chicken noodle soup is not even decent. I read good reviews, but it was disappointing.

I love this place! I frequent here only because of the fresh breakfast options. It takes a little longer to make (7 – 10 minutes) so call in advance if you’re pressed for time but it’s so worth it. Very pleasant staff, also!

Cheap, courteous workers, good food. What else is there not to like? If you’re looking for something quick this is the place for you.

I had heard good things about this place. My first experience was not so good.
Chose the V5 — a falafel and veggie mix served in a pita pocket with some hummus. The pita was as hard as a cracker. The falafel was not fresh. The veggies were okay. The two stars are given because the veggies were pretty good, it was cheap ($ 4.50) and the people were nice.
I will go back to try a hot sandwich as that seems what most other people in front of me in line ordered.

On a recent burger craving for lunch near work and hoping to avoid the never ending line that is Shake Shack, I came across Mélange, which was completely empty. The food selection was very impressive, so much so that I didn’t even get the burger I went there in search of. The crab cakes are $ 1.75 each, a rare bargain in the cold New York streets as each are the size of a burger patty. I ended up getting three. They could use some sort of accompaniment in terms of a sauce or dressing but they were good nonetheless. I also got a bagel with chicken salad, one of my guilty pleasures. I thought the chicken salad had too much celery for my taste but it did not take away from the meal.
Overall, I paid just north of $ 11 for three crab cakes and a bagel with chicken salad. I will definitely return to see what else they have to offer. There is also a Unilocal check-​in deal for 10% off.

I ordered a hot corn beef sandwich and it was spectacular!
It was $ 7. Smelled great. Everyone in my office commented on how good it smelled and looked when they saw me eating it.
This is a home run joint.

Love the food, love the workers, love the location, and most importantly LOVE THE PRICE. Def. a great spot if you want a sandwich to go!

Can’t believe I’ve worked in this area over a year and have never found this gem. They’ve got delicious huge sandwiches for just over $ 7 and also a large variety of salads and pastas to choose from. Their lunch special includes 3 of these pastas/​salads and will set you back $ 6.50 along with a cup of soup. The guys in there are also extremely nice and quick, definitely my new go to.

V1 — roasted veggies. multi grain bread. feta cheese. vinegar. I had it made no oil. Not bad. veggies still had their crunch. Bread was good. Cheese was good.
Side of bean salad. reminded me of macaroni salad. so maybe it is in mayo, but I don’t know. I should have asked. I don’t eat mayo. Good flavor. But I’m not sure I can technically eat it.
Lunch for sandwich and side was $ 7. which is great. This place if cheap, friendly, decent quality.

Consistently good service for lunch take out. Sandwiches and soups are very good. Friendly service and reasonable prices.

A local bargain — great salads and sandwiches, lots of fresh variety and they get you in and out in records speed. Very friendly and very reasonably priced.

Healthy, fresh food at bodega prices. Lots of delicious veggie options at this small place. I’ve been coming for a few months, and I’ve always enjoyed the food. Very nice veggie burgers and falafel.
They seem to update the specials regularly, and make everything fresh. The homemade crab cakes are really good, too. Plus, the price is right. I usually get a sandwich, with a free side, and it comes out to $ 7. Plus the guy who runs it is a really good dude, with a great attitude.

Yum! It’s so hard to find good food in midtown. And this place is not only good, it’s cheap! I bought a large sandwich and a pack of 3 chocolate chip cookies for under $ 10.
I got the C10 sandwich which is turkey with avocado and mustard. It was delicious. I liked that the turkey wasn’t dry. I LOVE avocado and I was pleased to see that the avocado was fresh. Service was pretty fast and friendly! I couldn’t find my credit card and the cashier was patient as I finally located it!
Definitely adding this to the lunch roster.

Its soo Manhattan you can’t even eat inside here. You’re in then you’re out! Perfect for lunch breaks if you’re in the area.
I had the best roasted veggie sandwich ever here! It had eggplant, zucchini, carrots, peppers, feta and balsamic. Yeah, yum! The toasted bread is everything! These dudes know what they are doing.
The salads ALL looked awesome too.
P. S. The sandwich prices on their online menu and website are not updated. Inside they have a huge chalk board with all of their options and prices. Order by the letter then the number. Be cool. GO! You won’t be disappointed you did.

As others have described, this place is a whole in the wall mom and pop kinda place but not bad place for quick sandwich take away. I really wanted the falafel sandwich but they had ran out so got the eggplant sandwich. Good quality bread but just wished the eggplant had been heated especially when temps are below freezing today. I also got bean salad that was also tasty but again I would have liked it warmed. Overall I would say the place has healthy food options with vegetarian options if that’s what your looking for (and I am). The prices are very very reasonable.

What a great little place. Sandwich, soup, and my favorite pretzel chips for $ 9.50. True story. They serve breakfast and lunch, everything is fresh, and they have fresh mozzarella. I’ll definitely be back.

Nice little old deli in one of the surviving small buildings that are now dwarfed by surrounding sky scrapers. Take-​out or delivery, good sandwiches. The guy who works here is a real sweetheart.
I came for egg sandwiches pretty regularly but noticed a strange taste to the cooking oil and now stick with the cold cut sandwiches.

Although small inside, this place makes up for it in both freshness and price! I’ve come here for breakfast sandwiches (hello there $ 2.50 bacon, egg, and cheese) smoothies, and my favorite lunch sandwich, the grilled eggplant and zucchini. The latter comes on whole wheat bread with peppers, feta, carrots, and balsamic olive oil… deliciously crisp and light!
Staffers here are friendly, and my colorful sandwiches have always come out with toppings evenly distributed — every bite is sweet perfection! Mélange Green & Gourmet is a hop-​skip from my condo, and a strong addition to my neighborhood deli rotation!

Mélange Green & Gourmet, which seems like not literally named, is a cozy and clean grab and go place for sandwiches, wraps and cold salad items. They also have breakfast omelets which I have yet to try, plus a very limited selection of soup.
Most of their sandwiches/​wraps go for $ 6 – 7 and apparently, comes with a small soup. The food is alright and the soup is really not much but it is a hot, savory, lean cup of liquids that warms my belly on a cold day. They also have a lunch special of 3 cold items and a small soup for $ 5.99. It is a pretty cheap deal to fill up and not falling asleep in the afternoon on your desk. Don’t expect much animal protein from this special and yes, as someone pointed out before… the mushroom and chicken is on the salty side (but I mixed it with the pasta salad so it was toned down).
They have really nice staff, always very polite, attentive and working the fastest they can.
While I’m not in love with this place and there is really nothing to rave about, I keep finding myself coming back here to grab my lunch to go.
